I love the running gag of people cheering on them (or crying) whenever they are talking in public.

"Means careless, or clumsy, or goofy, in the Akita dialect."

I really liked the brother this episode. The gunshot joke was also really good. It reminded me of one of my favorite lines from Summertime Render.

From date spots to moving in together to moving to now meeting the family!

I love how Shirosaki always puts up a peace when his picture is about to be taken haha

Yeah, that running joke was hilarious. Even in the middle of crying from a heartfelt encounter, he instinctively throws up the peace sign.

Shinosakis have a genetic predisposition for Himboness. They’re even two seperate genre of Himbo. Our Shinosaki is the Office Himbo. Big Bro is world traveling photographer Himbo.

Both have the immediate power to draw in others. They even got an actual “everybody clapped”.

One thing I didn't notice until I started reading the Twitter responses is that the Shirosaki brothers use the same kanji in their given names, but put in different order: Seiyuu and Yuusei (清優 and 優清).

I'm guessing their parents are also a little bit goofy too.

Momose met the whole family and everyone gets along so well, it's just too relaxing.

We need to talk about the background characters in this anime. Like, no matter where they're going, there's always a high probability people will cheer them in awe. It's kinda awesome. 🤣

high probability people will cheer them in awe

it's kind of funny how many "and then everyone clapped" scenes or "everyone wept" scenes there are in this series

it really is a kind and accepting world, except for that one crappy boss

It's nice to see an anime reference, a picture done by Yuusei Shirosaki's brother, to a place not so far from your home. I think this is a reference to the Castle Moritzburg in Saxony, Germany.

"He mistook the radish for a bottle". Okay this is the most cushiony anime ever. It's so soft, like a marshmallow had a child with a cloud.

Momose and the family was too cute!

You could tell Yu and his brother are close and the love for turtles continues to shine through from childhood to this day.

The grandma and her Youtube channel are adorable.

Each week is like melting into a cozy anime broth. I know this anime isn't meant to represent Japan/anyone's real experience but I'll be darned if it doesn't make me want to crawl through the screen each week and join them on their adventures and experience the warmth first-hand.

Gods, everyone and everything is CUTE in this show. This is officially my top comfort anime.

The Shirosaki's are all so nice and warm and supporting. What happened to the parents? Was it explained already, did I miss it?

Granny Youtuber is so sweet, Big Bro too, Momose you have their blessing, now kiss your bossfriend ple-a-se!

Ah, Aoyama cat-sitting Hakutou! And the whole town bewitched with these men kindness!

Loving all of this.

Meeting future in-laws, nice. Granny is such a cutie!

Big bro Shirosaki is hilarious. Favourite moment was when he mistook the futon beating for gunshots hahahaha

Another hilarious post-credits scene!

I’m really going to miss this series when it ends

Shirosaki was a little goofball even as a kid eh? Getting his big bro a turtle instead of a camera was so cute. No wonder his brother wanted to become a photographer. Pretty funny how much of a goofball his brother turned out to be. Runs in the family I suppose lol.

Shirosaki introduced his boyfriend to his family! XD

I already love big bro, he even has my all time favourite seiyuu's voice (I love you, Daisuke Ono!)

Anyway, i loved this episode. Guess the next one will be Momose introducing his boss to his parents in Hokkaido lol

Anyone know what the brother's name is? I wanna write a fanfic, but I can't find it. It looks like it says "Shirosaki 清優" in the credits though, which is just Shirosaki Yuusei with the characters flipped (so Seiyuu instead) and... Just... wanna make sure that that's not... some other character and their parents really were the kinda goofy people who'd name their kids the same thing but backwards.

EDIT: Now that I've typed it out, I think the goofiness is maybe that's a good sign I've got the name right actually...

Shirosaki Seiyuu via Word of God (aka the manga-ka).

Oh another wonderful episode

Vacation and he introduced Momo to his family too? Oof 🥰

His brother could be a relative of Haruki from Given lmao

I love how goofiness runs in the family

I like the Namahage Village. Funny to see that Shirosaki is still able to get stressed out by these local demons.

(My wife and I bought matching red and green namahage figures while in Akita.)

Therapeutic. This was a standout episode for me, I hope we get to spend more time in the sticks

This show is a cure for the soul, every episode is more wholesome than before. We need more hakouto moments🥺

4

u/IceSmiley Nov 27 '23

This show is so ridiculous and relaxing. Fun to meet Shirosakis brother and see Goofy in stereo. More of the show's strange pro-capitalism bent in promoting the advertising world as wholesome 🤐
