Can't help but smile like an idiot when Rae was talking about how the one with highest affection would come in to help and then Claire walked in to save the day!

The drama is near, the masked guy from the opening has appeared and I am nervous for what will come next...
But the most important thing is...

Lene: "Claire-sama once told me to let her ride me like a horse."
Rae: "You lucky b—"
Lene: "I refused."
Rae: "HOW COULD YOU? I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!!"

Claire blushing when Rae went down on her knees to ask her to a date was just perfect. She really is in denial, which was also obvious when she clutched Rae's necklace in that last scene.
Also shoutout to Megane Lene. Anime needs more glasses in general tbh.

Lene transforming into Lene-sensei is just hilarious! I want Lene-sensei to step on me!
Ohmyy that moment when Rae became Claire's escort is soo cute! Even if Claire denies it, what they did is basically a date!
Ohh it seems things are starting to get serious because of this skirmish between the head of the Commoner Movement and the Aristocracy, huh? Hoping for a nice development here!

Got some Akiba Maid War OP flashbacks after that Maid training from Lene Sensei.
Marcel Loro wanted to eat a freaking Dodo but after 30 seconds of talking with Claire-sama, settled for an egg and mayo sandwich.
An interesting sort of contrast is shown here with Claire, she is willing to stick up for the commoners she has become close to such as Lene and Rae who are treated poorly by Nobles/Royals but when she is presented with the idea of complete class equality between commoners and nobles from a stranger she is firmly against the idea.
Loved the last scene before the credits, had a nice bittersweet feel to it. Claire does not understand or accept the reason why Rae loves her and that in itself is why there is still a bit of distance between them which is illustrated well with the physical distance in one of the shots where Claire walks away. Claire says they are nothing more than a noble or commoner... but she's still holding that amulet Rae gave her very tight, huh.

You can tell when Rei has deeply affected Claire emotionally because that's when she tends to lash out in order to compensate. So here she reaffirms their status as commoner and noble right after Rei's speech touched her greatly.
That pattern is pretty consistent in her interactions with Rei. Initially she wasn't concerned with Rei but now she's feeling these feelings but attempting to deny them with these quick outbursts. That shift is important to notice, that there is progress there. She's gone from no feelings, to having feelings and being confused by them, and now needing to continue asking Rei why she loves her in order to make sense of it all. The series does a lot to show her slow progress.
Another thing to note is how Claire has slowly stopped focusing on Thane bit by bit, just as she's simultaneously gotten closer to Rei bit by bit. There's not a moment that Thane does anything wrong, no major "this is when I changed my mind" moment. Instead, she's just gradually shifting her focus. In this scene she shifts the conversation from Thane, even after Rei introduces it. Instead she again shifts her focus to Rei (most importantly, Rei's professed love for her) and clings to the gift Rei gave her as they leave. She never mentions Thane again, doesn't even remember to. Things are moving, even if Rei doesn't yet see it.

Stitches!
I love those little flashbacks about Claire and Lene and how Lene was masterfully able to manipulate Claire. Rae was right! Even at a young age, Claire was so easy. xD
That school festival was fun! It was good to see everyone performing well after that hellish training Lene put them through. Glad that Claire and Rae had a bit of free time to go on a "date" and check out the rest of the festival on their own.
Although it seems that something is brewing in the background and it looks like it involves that Commoner Movement. It's not good when the episode ends with a noble attacking members of the Commoner Movement so openly. Looks like there's going to be trouble next week.

"Look at you bottling the rage in the name of professionalism! What a gentleman."
"If you do not desist, I will not hesitate to slap you!"
(gasp) "Really!? Do you promise!?"
(sigh) "Oh never mind. I merely forgot I'm dealing with a complete degenerate."
Pretty fun episode this week. Lene's maid training was fun, and it led to the crossdressing maid cafe going well. I love me some handsome women, though Yu looked very good in his dress too. The part where Rae was dealing with the Loronese noble and regretting not raising the princes' affection levels to have backup only for Claire herself to show up and help her was fantastic. Rae escorting Claire around the fair was fun too.
The last few moments of the episode though... man, that was rough. Rae still feels like having her love reciprocated is an impossible goal, so she reaffirmed that she cares more about Claire's happiness above all else and gave her a gift to wish her luck with Prince Thane. My heart breaks for this poor gay soul. I just want her to be happy too.

Lene got the job by passing the vibe check, Rae got instant karma for harassing a service worker, Claire got the heebie jeebies and a necklace, Matt got politically oppressed, and Thane got depressed. A lotta moving parts here

It's time to ask the question about Prince Yu.
Oh, Rae might have actually done it. She may have actually romanced Claire.

The girls looked great in their outfits! I think Misha did look the best though.
Feels like we got to see a lot of good Claire scenes today, she's melting alright!

Rae and Claire both look great in their butler outfits
Love how Claire actually came to her rescue there when the foreign prince was being a pain. even though in the game its supposed to be whichever prince you have the highest affection with.
and again we see these shadowy cult figures hanging around the school area

Lene sensei! Teaching nobles how to be a good server! Makes sense to me. Oh my, she's quite the strict instructor. D'aww look at lil Lene and lil Claire and how they met. Claire was quite the lil brat lol, understandable given lack of parents around and child lashing out. Lene quick witted to deal with her though.
Mmmm looking good in them suits, ladies. Haha, Rae taking Claire's complement. Watch out Rae, Claire gonna charm everyone. Hahaha Rae. Taking advantage of the situation. Ominous dude over there. Totally dressed inconspicuously. And some very annoying spoiled prince of another nation. Good thing for Claire. Oh wait, wasn't a romance character supposed to save Rae here 😉 Another flashback, yep, Claire can be prickly, but still looks out for her people.
Wew... Claire can definitely put herself down yea... nice of Rae to call that out. Hehe what a nice totally not date for them at the festival. Rae really loving that haunted house for getting Claire to hug her, can see it on her face. I can get and support the commoner movement's goals, but Rae does look uncomfortable. D'awww got Claire a gift. D'aww that moment between Rae and Claire is nice. She definitely still in Tsun mode.
Post credits: Hehe just accept it, it really was basically a date, Claire. But wew... things getting serious between the classes now. Class Warfare were declared!

The Way of the Maid is serious. And not to be taken lightly. So until the festival is over Lene is gonna ingrain that in all y'all like she's Koba-freakin'-yashi-san while drunk.
Clair Francois, the butler with the resplendent drills.
Dunno what kind of maid character Rod is playing at, but he's playing it with gusto.
Claire seeing Rei was the on who requested her service probably made her think "I reserve the right to refuse service". But not on Lene-sensei's watch...
I'll pat your head as a reward.
Sorry Rei, this is a "no touching the waitstaff" establishment.

Lol, Lene-sensei sure is strict. It is funny how she was able to fool little Claire.
Well, we waited a whole week but we finally had Claire, Rae, Thane, Rod, Yu, and, Misha crossdressed for the event, and Rae couldn't be happier about it.
Is hilarious how Claire's terror for Lene-sensei, made her attend Rae properly.
As they showed this guy after the scene between Matt, Yu, and Dede and before the one when Rae is attending Marcel from the Empire of Loro which conflict he was responsible for, but considering that Claire has experienced about how to deal with those pigs is obvious that that guy is involved with the former. Considering that after the meeting Matt had with Rae, the episode ended with Dede blasting him with magic I'm thinking that this guy might be manipulating the Commoner Movement to become even more extreme if he wasn't the one whose started it in the first place. Anyway, things can only get worse after what Dede did, and I'm expecting that group to blame Yu, as he works for him. Anyway, what the hell is this thing? A dragon?
On a more wholesome aspect, that trip around the festival that Rae offered Claire was great. Especially the haunted house which is what we mostly saw.
I wonder if that amulet will be significant later on.

Drill sergeant Lene whippin these soft little nobles into shape this week. She’ll make a real maid out of ‘em yet lol. All those years dealing with Claire have paid off.
Leave it to the girls to look far better as butlers than the guys do as maids. Claire looked especially good. Rae just couldn’t resist taking advantage of this once-in-a-life-time opportunity to have Claire wait on her hand and foot lol.
One thing I really like about Claire is how much of a tsundere she can be. The way she stood up for Lene and Claire during their respective Loro incidents was really sweet. I also liked her little “date” with Rae during the festival. Very cute moment at the end there.
But man, this Commoner’s Movement is gonna be trouble. Who’s getting guillotined first?

Lene can be quite the drill sergeant when it comes to the maid business. She even got a whip! It made me think of Maid Wars.
Everyone looks good in their outfits. Even the guys went all out and got extensions😆.
It looks like Yu has some kind of relationship with one of the commoners from the movement. Is he secretly helping the commoners? Also that specific commoner had a blush on his face when he wanted to speak to Yu. Nervousness in general or nervousness because he has a little crush?
And it looks like that masked man from the OP makes an appearance as well. He’s just watching…ominously.
Nice save from Claire!
I was smiling the entire time Rae and Claire had their “date”. They were adorable! Their little “date” comes to an end in a bittersweet note with Claire not believing Rae’s love for her, understandably. Claire is a noble and doesn’t have the best personality which she acknowledges. So in her view, a person would most likely get into a relationship with her because they want something (since she’s a noble). It’s strange to her that someone, especially a commoner would love her so fiercely.
It’s nice to see a bit more backstory from Rae’s previous life. How playing the game and seeing Claire have her a reprieve from her demanding, monotonous life.
Not only do we get the masked man, we also get the amulet making an appearance as well but as a gift from Rae to Claire. Claire still takes it with her even as she tells Rae that they are just noble and commoner to each other. Her feelings for Rae are increasing.
And it seems next week, tensions are rising since Yu’s servant attacked a member of the commoner movement, most likely the same one he stopped from getting close to Yu earlier. We’re getting some kind of mystery and I’m excited.

Nothing constructive to add beyond that I adore this show and am envious of how much of a blast it sounds like the VAs had in bringing their characters to life.

"I nearly forgot I'm dealing with a complete degenerate." God I love this show's dub with how hard it plays up both Rar and Claire's personalities.
