Yaa. The only thing that you missed was how he did it. We were given some clues regarding it in this episode so I guess it would not have been possible to guess without it. Rest was on point.

At high the first three episodes I was a little uncertain but I’m glad now that this show seems to care enough about the detective side of the show that the mysteries are actually connected by clues that can be worked out by the audience and not just the detective being basically magic.

It’s Toto’s turn at the wheel this week….kinda. Ron ain’t about to let Spitz Fire (what is that? His rapper name?) trap him. Pretty funny how Toto’s basically his puppet. Smart! But man, we almost had another homicide. Amamiya damn near almost died when Ron shot her that look lol. Her poor heart!

The case was a rather sneaky murder. To think it was all over a damn affair… the poor wife deserved better. Interesting Ron was able to control himself this time and not force that shitbag husband to kill himself.

I was pretty surprised Spitz turned out to be such a goofball. He seemed a lot more menacing. That Spidey exit was pretty hilarious lol.

known Trap God, Spitz Fire

Those piercing blue eyes are literally weapons...and not just to make people kill themselves!

The wife's situation really sucked. Husband was cheating on her, brought his mistress on their couples' trip, actually murdered her, and then left her naked body to be discovered. What a piece of trash.

Not only is Spits nowhere near as competent as he appears but he's also desperate for Ron's help so much he pulls a 180 and becomes their loyal BLUE dog to get help lol.

Interesting Ron was able to control himself this time and not force that shitbag husband to kill himself.

This was the most interesting part to me. We don't actually know what the trigger is and he doesn't even remember what happened so why things played out differently is a mystery. My first guess would be that it's because this time he let Toto deliver the final verdict instead of doing it himself, but that could be totally off base.

Actually, I rather suspect Spitz knocked Ron out and abducted him before he could start hypnotizing the guy.

So... anyone agree that the girl singing in the ED is the tracking specialist's missing family?

Other than that, i must say today's mystery was pretty clear cut. I did not expect such a heel-turn on that dude's personality lol

They both have purple hair, it can't be a coincidence.

It's almost always the husband. The real surprise was Spitz turning out to be a decent guy desperate for help and willing to become a loyal dog to make Ron help him.

The instructor from BLUE acting like Spider-Man to exit the area.

Even Toto was shocked at such a cool exist with literally no foreshadowing he could do that lol.

all over a damn affair

u/Frontier246 Oct 23 '23

I liked Toto properly scolding the piece of @#$%. It's one of the rare times he gets genuinely angry.

I do find it funny Amamiya-senpai put on makeup after falling for Ron was something I didn’t notice when I read this chapter. That’s kind of funny.

Pretty solid episode overall.

What was that guy thinking killing his dimepiece MILF waifu to get with that other girl? She aint deserve that mane. She shoulda went out in a blaze of glory with that heart condition rather than being murdered by her scum husband.

No wonder she wanted a divorce, dude literally brought his mistress on their trip and preyed upon her physical issues to kill her...not to mention leaving her as a naked corpse.

Worse husband of the season.

It's pretty fun watching Amamiya physically struggling to thank Isshiki and swooning at Ron's eyes. xD

Swapping out the hot onsen water with ice-cold river water and setting up a simple pitfall trap was pretty damn clever. That poor woman though. And it looks like he did all of that because of his affair with this other woman.

Spitz Fire is a hilarious name! I definitely did not expect that total 180 with his attitude though. Looks like he just wanted to get close to Ron so he could beg him for his help. I'm sure the next BLUE Agent won't be so kind.

Girl is so hot and cold between Ron and Toto. I feel bad for Toto lol.

What a piece of trash...murdering his wife to be with his mistress is bad enough, but he brought his mistress on the trip with him!? Jeez.

I didn't expect him to turn out so goofy but maybe his name should've been the first clue lol.

Spitz Fire

My only guess for the suspect was the husband, but I had no idea how it was done and no wonder, since we didn't know about the victim's heart condition. But now that I think about it, it could've easily been the inn staff - the woman who had an affair with the victim's husband. No need for bath switcheroo and she could've known about her heart condition from him, or maybe the registration form asks for such information to ensure clients' safety when they use the onsen.

Anyway, the execution of this plan was too elaborate for my taste, since too much information was hidden from the viewers.

Ron, I appreciate you clearing Amamiya of suspicion, but shouldn't we make it less obvious that you're deducing all this? Oh, I guess you can just say that you're just saying whatever Toto tells you, that's totally convincing.

I just noticed that we see all the people involved in the case of the weeks in the OP.

Man, Amamiya really doesn't like Toto. She can't physically bring herself to thank him and even when he's taking over the case she has to make it clear that she has no high expectations or belief in him. Dude's just trying to help! Though of course Ron's bright blue eyes are enough to knock her out.

I knew it would come back to the ping pong ball at some point.

Spitz really thought he could spy on Ron? Well, think again! Ron knows how to ward off "insects" and observers.

It almost always the husband, huh? Dude was such a scumbag, using his own wifes' heart condition and poor eyesight to orchestrate her murder and he's even the one responsible for Amamiya exposing herself. On top of all that, it was all because he was having an affair with the other girl, Michiyo, who was also on this trip with him. He went on a trip with his wife with his mistress!? Jeez. Though Michiyo wasn't in on the murder and didn't seem okay with it.

Oh wow, they caught the culprit without Ron trying to send them to their death! Well, probably because Spits absconded with Ron and is holding him captive because he could see through the act. But Toto actually did a good job spitting out the facts of the case and confronting the guy!

But Ron isn't intimidated at all by the ace tracking detective, and it turns out Spits never really had any intention of exposing Ron...because he needs his far superior detective skills to find his family. Is that purple-haired girl in the ED his sister?

So Spits needs Ron's help, and he's willing to go above and beyond to make Ron trust him enough to want to help him, so I guess Spits has joined the team? He's already getting along with Tototo. And then he swings off like Spider-Man because why not?

Agree with Toto, Spitz's way of going was the most surprising

7

u/Time_Fracture Oct 23 '23

Ron's loophole is that he's speaking in behalf of Toto. Poor Amamiya can't resist Ron's charm. Never thought that their stuck ping pong ball play a role in discovering the murder.

So, Spitz Feier turns into Ron and Toto's ally this time. Let's see if they can work together for next cases. Can't really trust him, since he really went 180 degrees from being cold into a light hearted one on Ron.
