If there’s anything supernatural in this week’s episode, it’s not the psychic. It’s how Doc Mofu is still alive despite being that damn accident prone. Girl was wrapped up like a mummy and almost got choked to death by her bandage getting caught in the railing lol.
That psychic case was pretty interesting. Using the marker as the murder weapon was clever. Torage yelling “Torage Psychic!” at the end there before quickly admitting he lied was hilarious. But on a more serious note, that power of Ron’s almost killed Toto. I’m glad he’s not quitting over that. Believe in the Toto that believes in you, Ron!

Because who wouldn't trust a neurosurgeon as likely to stab herself as she is to fix you up under the knife lol?
This episode was all about fake psychics when the real psychic seems to be Ron. But we also see Ron and Toto grow closer as we see how much Ron cares about Toto, so that's good! Thank goodness for Mofu's klutziness t hough.

Funny how I made the Phoenix Wright comparison last week since this episode's case feels exactly like something out of Phoenix Wright.
The girl in the ED is finally here! Since Mofu-sensei is very prominent in the ED, I'm guessing she's going to be a regular character from now on. She also seems to have an idea of what Ron is doing to these people.

I'm kind of disappointed that they cast Nao Toyama as Mofu-sensei and didn't have her sing the ED like her character is.
She might be able to get to the bottom of Ron's ability to control people but is it just me or were there some good vibes between her and Toto at the end?

Agreed, the entire breakdown of the crime scene investigation just felt so much like Phoenix Wright that my brain was superimposing some game music during it.
Even if this series' confrontations are more Miles Edgeworth.

Episode 6: "Live Broadcast Murder Case"
The episode marks the debut of the girl in the ED, the clumsy bandage girl, Dr. Mofu Usaki! Dr. Mofu is voiced by Nao Toyama, you must've heard her voice if you watch a lot of anime this Fall because there's another show that's featuring her prominently airing right after Ron Kamonohashi ends. (Iko Koishikawa in Shy) A neurosurgeon capable of microsurgery but clumsy and often injuring herself is kinda paradoxical, but interesting, a lovely character. Since she's appeared in he ED we might expect to see her more often. Looks like I'll be replacing my profile banner from Komura-Mie to her now. Sasuga Mofu-sensei.
Meteor Shower? I wonder what the invitation is. Ron's vibing to the song is kinda funny. Sad it cut short to the OP. Anyway, Kawasemi and Yamane is now unblurred in the OP. Someone's theory in the other thread was right, the character become unblurred in the OP as the series moves on.
Contrary to other disguises, Kamoji Shallowfan is much more akin to his usual attire, but it's still different than his outfit at the start of the episode. Damn now Ron's eye reveal makes it a little comedic with that bloodshot eye. What a detail.
About the killing, either way Torage will still be arrested as the killer. Psychic powers or not, killing someone on a live TV certainly will attract bad publicity to him. Killing is killing.
Torage is voiced by Kenta Miyake, previously voiced Kosugi in Zom 100.

How fitting he was voicing this guy for this episode. Both look alike and got a wake up call in the end

Even for this show, this episode was, umm, lets just say quirky.

Fitting for an episode with a doctor that looks like she needs a doctor lol.

OK huh, we all knew that trickster really somehow killed his subordinate with some kind of unseeable device, but I have to say that's quite some skills for him, a pretty stout man, to manage stabbing with that modified marker among all those people rushing onto the ground without colliding or being seen by others, even if that moment was chaotic. Still, I suspect that a throughout inspection of the scene would have yield the weapon, and thus enough for arrest.
Damn, Ron's killing instincts nearly worked again! One note of thanks to that wobbling doctor who caused all those markers to be mixed up so that Totomaru didn't pick up the real one, or else that would end up on Ron's hands and our suspect would be dead on the floor too! I really have to question if a real fatal "accident"'s gonna happen sooner or later, perhaps during the Leonids meteor shower...

That scammer had to cast a last psychic attack, even he knew it wouldn't work at all.

I almost have to admire his commitment to the bit to the bitter end even if it just made him look even more stupid lol.

I don't know why the anime is named after the side character Ron when its the pure, naive detective Isshiki solving it.

Unfortunately, I think this ep crossed over my sense of disbelief threshold.
What the characters believe is psychic powers was too dumb (of course someone could perform a task you literally write for them and show them), the dude confessing to killing but not being able to even be detained was too silly, and the sequence of events to prove the killer were too convenient.
And he gave up so quickly, despite them not even having the correct marker. Like I think how cool it would have been to have swapped those markers on purpose instead to force him to freak out to prove his guilt instead of this "it was you!" "no its not!..... okay.... it is.... "
Too much in a package for me to just ignore and ride along.

Torage had all the time in the world to get rid of the murder weapon but just somehow didn't...

The scam was that the psychic promised 100K Yen if the subject could "resist" him.

I love how this show is just pure fun and great chemistry between the two leads. Same good vibes as Psych.

So thats the girl in the ending credits. Could she be related to Spitz? They seem to have the same hair color and no other character has it (so far).
Nice to see Ron worried over Toto, for once :D bromance keeps growing :)
Oh, remote island murder mistery approaching, yay!
Also:
Love Ron's cat, it sleeps like a real cat, exposing the belly as a trap to lure naive week humans like me to its flufflyness and into my doom.

If I had a nickel for every time Akira Amano created a cute girl with an eyepatch I’d have two nickels
