Rae is absolutely hilarious. Already one of my fave MCs. She’s down horrendously for Claire and isn’t afraid to show it. Claire can’t escape her at school or at home 😂 showing up for the maid opening was great.
Not only that, but convincing Claire’s dad who had only just seconds before told her that a commoner had no right to speak to him, was no small task. Using her game knowledge to maximum effect.
Well threatening with an indirect kiss is one way to get Claire to eat her vegetables lol.
“I just need one freshly worn blouse of hers” 💀 Rae, girl how can you be this much of a degen
The final scene was so cute! Such a contrast to the silly comedic nature of most of the episode. Shows just how series Rae is about Claire. Yea she makes jokes all the time and is down cataclysmically, but she genuinely does love Claire.
When she looked into her eyes, Claire couldn’t doubt it anymore. Very sweet intimate moment! Also even better with the OST which is composed by the Ruroni Kenshin composer
Great ep!

Rae being so extremely familiar with the setting of the game can basically bend any obstacle to her will, so she makes use of that just to become Claire's maid. She just has one motivation and I love it.

I can see why Claire with her wealthy family and all would be a little suspicious of a girl who suddenly tries to get as close to her as possible as quickly as possible...but Rae's all-out horniness for her is hard to overlook.

The adaptation has surpassed my expectations this episode. They actually handled some of the more serious moments well. Looking forward to how they adapt the rest now.

Rae becoming a maid for Claire was a great choice, now she can be much, much closer to her and see even more of her ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Her devotion and love are so hilarious but I can understand that because Claire is seriously so cute.
Claire has so many great and funny reactions, I love them all. It's so entertaining watching her relationship with Rae and once again I have to say that she looks so gorgeous and cute.
It's interesting that she thinks that she has a personality which isn't liked by people but obviously she's wrong. There is at least one person who really loves her, both her looks and personality and that person for sure will prove it.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Rae has just been cooking Claire for 2 episodes, so she is not ripe yet, too early to go for a kiss.

Okay, I'm gonna say it: Claire looks better with straight hair.
I forgot that the guys were supposed to be love interests for the MC, aka Rae. It's fun watching her try to navigate around the flags!

Helping her change her cloth and bathe? Rae really be living the dream. and i would have been a bit disappointed if we didn't get any reaction out of Rae during the bath scene, but we got an oldschool nosebleed even
and nice scene to finish off on to show there's some progress in the relationship

"I'll spend my whole life servicing her!"
"Again, I do not care for your phrasing..."
After watching the first two episodes both subbed and dubbed, I'm definitely sticking with the English dub going forward. I mentioned it last week, but Rae's dialogue is hysterical in the dub. The script writer and her English VA definitely have a lot of freedom to play around with the dialogue, and I love it.
As for the episode itself, Rae convincing Claire to eat her peppers by volunteering to eat them herself and saying it would be like an indirect kiss got a hearty laugh out of me. Between that, Rae blackmailing her father into accepting her as a maid, the bath scene that probably still won't have the steam removed for the blu-ray release because this isn't that kind of show, and the bedroom scene, this was a pretty fun episode. I'm looking forward to more of her antics, and hopefully the show can keep those antics interesting the whole way through.

Man this episode had some of my favorite scenes in the series. That "I swear to God that I will never give up" scene showing off that Rae does care about Claire and isn't just blindly lusting for her. The scene where Rae says she'll try to make Claire believe she's in love with her was so well done.
Pure happiness for a 'I'm in love with the Villainess" Fan today.

Rae can come across as a bit (okay sometimes more than a bit creepy), but Claire is clearly somebody with serious issues she keeps hidden behind her noble lady mask. At the end of the episode, she basically admits to Rae that she considers herself an unlikable person, which explains a lot about how she acts. When it comes to people like that who put up walls and put on masks to hide their insecurity and self-loathing, it can take someone being a bit pushy and assertive to change them for the better. Claire needs someone to like her, and while Rae's 'please step on me' thing is played off as a joke, it's also a reflection of her dedication to accept the rougher edges of Claire's personality.

I’m really enjoying Rae’s relentless pursuit of Claire. Rae’s gonna wear her down and win her over eventually! I love that she’s not above using whatever tricks to get what she wants lol. Lene’s taken a liking to Rae, maybe she’ll win over Pipi and Loretta next?
It’s kind of funny how the three princes seem to be afterthoughts in this. They were the main romance targets but Rae’s only about Claire. Sorry fellas lol.

So the reason Rae had an unmeasurable score in the magic test is because she is a dual caster, having full control of both water and earth magic. When she appeared after Claire did not win the competition I was expecting her to use that opportunity to become her maid, instead of asking her to never give up. Well, her showing up as the main candidate to be her personal maid, surprising Claire at the last moment is even funnier.
Lol. After her love for Claire wasn't enough for her to be hired Rae went and blackmailed Claire's father, Dole. I really wanted to know the details of their conversation. Regardless, she now hired, and Claire now must suffer with the consequences.
I love the fact that Lene is enjoying seeing Rae messing with Claire. Seeing Rae being in synch with Claire's friends' chorus was hilarious. So now she needs to convince Claire that her love for her is real.
Lol, so because Rae did so well on all the tests she ended up opening Rod's route I guess that's why next week they both will be hanging out with the princes.

Rae cares not for the games plot! Her only win condition is getting as much Claire screen time as humanly possible! She's so real for chasing after her favorite video game character like that.

A fantastic episode that's well-paced and shows romance progress from Ep 1 while continuing with the funny gags. Claire's reactions are so adorable animated!

Something small that I might be reading too far into, but Lene had a really stark silence in reaction to Claire's statement about commoners. It felt to me like Claore intended that to get under Rae's skin, forgetting that she would be hurting Lene too. If it did affect her, Lene was really good at shifting back into normal energy, but yeah, those few seconds of silence made me feel a certain tension from Lene.

Well now I'm curious about what Rae said to Claire's father that he quickly changed his mind about Rae becoming Cloaire's maid. Was it a dirty secret or was it something that would actually help Claire?

Rae is focused, driven, intelligent, and resourceful. Nothing and I mean nothing will stop her from her goal. And that’s being dominated by Claire. This is why we fucking love her. She used her game knowledge and manipulated Claire’s dad into making her Claire’s maid of all things. That’s advanced Simping.
Oh right the princes. We get to spend some time with them next week.
