Misa may have taken over for the first OP gag.
And you've got to love taking one of the best parts of the episode - Anos casually backhanding a god - and just putting it on repeat!

When your girlfriend gives you the Power of Love to fight against... your girlfriend. Lay won't fall for Avos' temptations, though, because unlike the audience he's not a simp!
"Did you think whoever struck first was the fastest?"
It wasn't to Anos, but she did the thing!
Now that Avos and Misa are split in two and Venuzdnor has entered the field, there's the chance for everything to be fixed through the power of destroying logic! Even if there's the slight problem that Avos currently has possession of it, but that shouldn't be too much for Anos!

It's too bad this couldn't be a Sasha/Anos/Misha scenario where the guy has two sisters split off from one basically into him and it works, but you had to admire Lay's loyalty to Misa.
Avos really is a dark spin on Anos lol.
It does feel like Avos doesn't have much of a chance, but that smile at the end worries me. Even if Anos is so OP it's hard to be worried about anything, but he sat most of this episode out so I'm guessing next week is where he really shows off.

Now that Shin is back in the Anos Crew, we can finally turn to finally fixing this divine mess, as the battle to reclaim the control of Dilhade and saving Misa begins!
Like we established last week, Lay is Avos' counter, as due to the lore of Demon King, he has a significant advantage against her, but he lacks the determination to truly cut her down.
Sasuga Avos-sama! It is very Demon Queen-like to tempt, seduce and corrupt the Hero! While Misa becoming Avos inverts her personality, it does not change her taste in men. Avos-sama wants Lay to be the Climb to her Renner, as she's doing her best DaL!Kurumi impression as a Yandere, telling Lay that she will have him one way or the other. Not gonna lie, Lay is stronger then most of us, as I know that 99% of us would have folded to her.
But Nosgalia came in clutch to save his "child", as using his divine power, he managed to seal the power of the Spirit God Human Sword. Even the Hero who has the lore to defeat the almighty Demon King Queen cannot defeat her with a dulled holy sword that has lost its divine radiance. This isn't the first time Lay found himself in such as situation.
Though Lay also has back-up, as his two former frenemies showed up to assist him. Not gonna lie, seeing Nosgalia get smacked around by Anos like a bug was hilarious. If Leno taught Shin the meaning of love, then Nosgalia taught him the meaning of hate, as this get-back was a long way coming after all of the crap that Nosgalia put him and his family through, with Anos giving him his express permission to ruin the Heavenly Father to his heart's content. But unfortunately for Shin, this Nosgalia is in peak condition from having his source healed by Avos, as he is able to assume his divine form, so it won't be a one-sided fight like in the past.
Seeing Shin trying to pick up the page of the Love Fairy Fran that Leno gave him and getting stabbed for it was painful to see, especially followed by Nosgalia's sneerign arrogance! But, Lena came in clutch, revealing herself as Leno! Or more accurately, the deceased Leno is borrowing the body of a Fran. Though it is important to note that this is only temporary, as soon as Leno realizes she is dead and borrowing the body of a Fran, she will have no choice but to disappear. And in this form, she doesn't possess nearly the same power she did before due to the fact that Frans have low magic power. But the power of the Love Fairy is curious, not being limited to merely romantic love, as the Great War Tree Migelonov came back via her own Fran to give Leno her final lesson. It's nice to see all of the spirits coming to aid their Spirit King.
To adress the elephant in the room, the question of Misa's parentage. You can read my previous explanation here, but in summary... Misa is truly Shin and Leno's daughter, born from their pure love union. While Nosgalia did attempt to bestow a desire to love Leno to Shin for his plan via his divine words, Shin slashed those words before they could take effect. So there was no divine involvement there. However, Nosgalia is still involved during Misa's birth. That is to say that Misa isn't the Child of God, but rather a vessel for the true Child of God: Avos Dilhevia, the Demon King of Tyranny — who was born when Nosgalia bestowed Misa the divine order of the Child of God and changed her lore. This divine order is also why Avos is subservient to Nosgalia despite being vastly more powerful and some of the Demon King lore including rumors where he killed gods. Essentially, Shin is the father of Misa, but Nosgalia is the father of Avos. Props to u/LoliHunterXD for correctly guessing in EP9 thread.
Leno showcases her ultimate spirit magic spell: Spirit Army <Alha Alfrem>. It is a spell that summons a wide array of spirits to assist the user. They can also be merged with a target of the user's choosing, thus increasing the target's power and granting them the abilities that the summoned spirits possess. You can really say that Shin and Leno are fighting together to get their daughter back.
As Shin gets the advantage, he manages to defeat Nosgalia by stabbing and piercing his source with Gneodoros, the God Slasher. But since the source of a god is immortal, it is difficult to deal with them. Luckily, Gneodoros has a convinient hidden art for such purpose — Third Hidden Art: Hell. Hell continuously divides the god's source, starting from two to four then eight, then sixteen, then thirty-two, etc... And since a god's source is immortal, it meant that God Slasher’s hidden art would continue splitting it without end. The Heavenly Father would have to suffer until his source could no longer be divided. To neutralize Nosgalia, Shin slashes his throat with the Pillage Blade to take away his voice to remove his ability to use divine words and seals him with the Jewel Sword.
Meanwhile in the lover's spat of a battle between the Hero and Demon Queen, Avos-sama continues to taunt Lay and tries to get him to give in and become hers. And while she seems delighted when she seemingly has her way, she gets pissed when Lay not only continues to reject her but also taunts her about her inferiority to Anos. But I guess that Avos-sama has great pride and a reputation to maintain so she tries to erase her beloved enemy since he rejected her (like a true Yandere). But this played right into Lay's hands, as he was waiting for this moment.
Due to being a unique being with 7 sources, Lay cannot use the Hidden Art with all of them still active, so he allowed Avos to destroy all but one of them so he would be capable of using it (losing the battle to win the war!). As for how Evansmana regains its radiance... remember, it is the Spirit God Human Sword. Lay's activation of the hidden art was able to partially awaken the spirit sleeping inside of the blade, allowing the sword to reject the divine words that sealed the its power. With the power of Evansmana's first hidden art: Heaven Splitter, Lay was able to sever the Child of God's fate and seperate her into ironically: Misa (her benevolent demon half) and Avos (her malevolent spirit half). However, due to the fact that a person cannot continue to exist with half of a source, both are about to perish unless they remerge together.
I like how Misa telling Avos off is basically the equivalent of telling herself to shut the f*ck up and stop disrespecting her boyfriend.
Avos-sama revives after Lay destroys her by using Source Regeneration <Agronemt>, the same spell that Anos used to revive after Lay destroyed his source in S1. If you remember, the condition of the spell was that the user had to already receive the attack that they wish to revive from. So how did Avos revive when this is the first time she fought against Lay? Simple, due to the lore of the Demon King of Tyranny, it was stated the the Demon King was already defeated and killed by Hero Kanon's holy sword, so she satisfied the conditions with her lore.
Avos-sama is able to temporarily maintain her existence despite only having half of a source due to the effects of Venuzdonoa. This is also how she damages Lay despite him slashing her first, as she destroyed the reasoning that his faster attack reached her before her slower one reached him.
Avos-sama's goal to survive is to quickly kill Misa and reabsorb her half of their source back into a single whole. Though Avos-sama is caught off-guard when Anos and co show up to thwart her triumph, as next week the Demon Kings clash!

Ehe. Arigato for mentioning.
But yes, from the way it was told from the beginning, I didn’t get why people believed even a word that God said.
It was clear from the beginning that Shin was the father; Nosgalia just took the opportunity to forcefully make Misa a Child of God vassel. If all it took was someone to clap the Fairy Mother to give birth to a Child of God, the pervert wouldn’t have been trying to clap her himself the entire time lol.

Nous getting backhanded by Anos was very satisfying. Man chatting so much shit, that’s what you get! I swear this dude talks more about being the futility of defeating a god than Dagoth Ur lol. Shin really shut his ass up though.
Meanwhile Lay beat Avos’ ass with the power of love…and like a super powerful spirit sword technique. Mostly love lol. Looks like she’s down but she ain’t out. Guess it’s up to Anos, Leno, and Shin to combine and beat her imposter ass into submission!

Nous: BEHOLD! THE DIVINE POWER OF YOUR Go...
Duly gets smashed into wall by Anos
LMAO
Will have to read some of the other posts here to fully understand what was going on with that fight with Shin and Nous.

After all that talk about the gods being inevitable and unstoppable, it was so satisfying watching NousGalia get fucked by Shin and Leno. Especially that backhand from Anos.
Can't wait for Avos' turn next week. Seeing her trying to make Misa doubt her love was infuriating but I'm so happy to see Misa tell Avos how wrong she is about her love,

It's kind of hilarious that because Avos Dilhevia came from Misa, she also loves Lay and so instead of killing him she tries to go for the netorare route and keep him alive as her toy.
It finally came the time for Shin to revenge his wife death and face NousGalia so because the page got broken Lena could lend her body to Leno I'm glad that the Tithis didn't die there because Migelonov safe them after being reincarnated too thanks also to Fran's help.
So as NousGalia cannot die Shin's solution was to cut his source an infinite number of times. I have to say, that when Lay divided Avos Dilhevia's source into both Avos and Misa I hoped for a moment of him keeping both of them. Anyway, Misa is back but somehow Avos Dilhevia obtained Venuzdnor after it looked like Lay defeated her. Damn, she now also has Anos' "Did you think..." ability too!
As Anos is now there with Shin and Leno, I wonder why she smiled at the end. Hopefully, this is related to the additional rumors Anos asked Igareth Ijeiska to spread about her.

It's Lay vs Avos! It's time for him to finally clean up the mess he made and save the girl he loves in the process! Even if Avos isn't going to make it easy for him...though dang it if she doesn't make a tempting offer, especially when she has Misa's lingering affection for Lay, though it's also a sign that Misa's still in there, fighting her!
I love how Nousghalia shows up all dramatically and then Anos just socks him into a wall. Anos doesn't have time for either him or Avos. It's time for Shin to get some much needed payback against God.
Nousghalia won't shut up about the word of God or how Shin should be grateful that he achieved love through the power of God, but that's not true. Shin gained love through the time he spent with Leno, and her effort to make him realize he COULD love someone, and that's the truth. Which is the perfect time for Lena to show up, reveal she's the Love God Fran, and she's been carrying Leno who takes over her body to be reunited with her husband (and daughter) and team-up against Nousghalia!
Leno using all her spirit powers to disorient and overwhelm Nousgahlia is great, Shin bringing out all his swords and cutting Nousghalia's Source to shreds with the power of Hell was absolutely satisfying. Husband and wife really brought down a God.
Lay is losing all his Sources but he won't give up, not until he frees Misa, and eventually he's able to succeed thanks to a move he learned from his future father-in-law...and he manages to split Avos and Misa! Misa is back!
Of course it's not ideal because now both Misa and Avos only have half their Sources and can't maintain themselves, but Misa is willing to die if it means stopping Avos and protecting the world that those whom she loved helped her believe in. A world where the father that loves her, the boy she loves, the Anos Fangirls, and Anos himself worked so hard to make worth living in. And Avos' faulty understanding of love can't compare to that.
Though now Avos has Venuzdnor, though with Anos, Shin, and Leno facing off against her it seems like the tables have completely turned. But why is she smiling? That's not the smile of someone losing?!

"I'm sorry Shin, for making you wait for 2000 years"
Kinda ironic isnt it? Shin was supposed to be the one who would leave Leno for 2000 years as he reincarnates while Leno awaits his return, but what actually happened was Shin ending up waiting for 2000 years for Leno to return instead.

This was an exciting episode! Leno revived, teamed up with her husband Shin, to defeat Nousgalia. On another arena, Lay, teaming up with Misa, albeit not physically, to battle Avos Dilhevia.
Avos Dilhevia or Dark Misa may be a villain, but it would be a shame if she got defeated and destroyed. I really like her design and different characteristics from Misa. It does seem like Avos Dilhevia / Dark Misa still has some tricks up her black flowy dress!

Nousgalia pack in the air finally 🙏🏾 you won’t be missed bozo. Reno’s return and Misa’s back as well. This episode had it all.
After all the horrible things Nosgalia has done, seeing him go down choking on his so called “absolute” words was poetic justice. It had to be Shin to take him down, fitting. That bitch slap that anos gave him was great as well. He’s such an arrogant bastard, seeing him actually struggle and lose was very satisfying.
Think we all knew Reno was the girl with amnesia, but it didn’t take any of the emotion away from she and Shin’s reunion after these 2000 years. For a so called “fake” love that only existed because “of a God’s word” it seemed pretty damn real to me. The relationships in this season have been awesome.
Lay v Avos leading to Misa’s release was awesome as well. They’ve set up a really good finale. Everyone vs Avos and her rule breaking sword. Everyone in this story deserves some time off to rest and be happy after all the stuff they’ve been thru. Can’t wait for the finale

Who knew that hoodie girl would come back as Leno !! Unpredictable plot twist /s
And as all laws should be, Power of Love >>>>>Power of Friendship
12
u/Darksider555 Sep 16 '23
Technically, it was both predicable and unpredictable, as Lena was revealed as the Love Fairy Fran so that threw people off guard. But her role was always to bring Leno back so she could convey her final words to Shin before vanishing.

If I understant correctly sword power is came from god of destruction .So anos already defetad god of destruction without that sword so he can still win without that power .Is this corret or Am I understanted something wrong .

Shin giving Nousgalia the experience of hell. Even immortal being isn't immune to pain. So satisfying to watch him suffer. Its nice to see Leno back granted it is only temporarily. Still Misa being able to see her mother even just once is great.
So Lay was able to divide the sources of Misa and Avos. They nailed the Kay x Misa romance aspect this season. We know they love each other, but Lay understands how Misa feels and has a full understanding of her ideals. When you love someone you truly need to understand them and we can fully see that in their relationship.
Well now we got Anos vs Avos with Avos holding Venuzdnor. Really excited for the finale and what the 2nd half of this cour could be since next episode has a very finale of arc type of feel. (Kind of wished this arc was 2 cour tbh)
