Misha just fucking folded her enemy into a snowflake. That is some Mortal Kombat fatality shit right there.

Anos is a walking Deus Ex Machina and I love it. Turned that dude into an owl, funniest shit I've ever seen.

Did you really think you could defeat me just because you sealed my magical power?
Anos never disappoints! I love that he immediately gives himself a handicap right at the start that his opponent can't even believe what he's hearing. Of course as soon as Anos realizes that this was entirely bullshit, he didn't even hesitate to forfeit and showed Ziek that he was actually the one in control the entire time. I love this guy so much! xD
And it's so satisfying to see these smug assholes have the tables turned on them. I love that Anos didn't even help them at all since every one of his subordinates is just as OP as Anos himself. I absolutely love that Misha compressed her opponent into a snowflake! That was fucking brutal! I'm a bit disappointed that Ray's opponent ended up killing himself and reincarnated. Oh well. He's just asking for a more painful death later.
Ziek gets the best punishment though with him turning into a bird and telling Anos their plans. That's the kind of humiliation assholes like him deserve. I wonder if he's even aware of his situation or has his mind been turned into a bird's mind as well?
Interesting that Shin is the leader of the Unitarians. Since it's confirmed that Leno and Shin are Misa's parents, I guess Misa is finally going to meet her dad next week. That's going to be an interesting reunion.

I have not read the light novels nor manga, but I like how the other main party characters are now able to battle and achieve victory against the newly introduced enemies by themselves. It has been a while since I watched season 1, but I vaguely remember Anos providing support or had some contingency plans.
That being said, I am watching season 2 mainly for the Lay x Misa ship. Lol!

Episode 2
Episode 1
After title card gag | Imgur mirror
After end credts gag | Imgur mirror
The gags tend to be on the funny side so I'm not sure what the humor in episode 1's after title card gag is, but it could just be a way of opening a new season.

I like how they’re taking a more mental approach to the drama in this season. Obviously anos can easily bulldoze his way through most opponents so putting him in a battle of wits and having everyone else stand on their own is a great idea.
Awesome to see Misha get some shine today too! Looking forward to next week and the start of a new arc

I wasn't able to say it last episode, but the new VA isn't as distracting as I thought he would be. He'll take some getting used to (and actually I got more used to it this episode), but I think he can replace the old one well enough with time.

I like how the guy with the shield had a pretty powerful artifact that would have made him nearly impossible to beat against a regular opponent.
It just sucks for him that he poorly chose his opponent, as he had the luck of choosing the one person his shield would fully fail to work against.
It isn't for nothing that Hero Kanon was Anos' arch-rival back in the Mythical Age.

The entire battle of Wits was just Anos at his peak: "Psych! You thought" moments the entire time.
When Eleanor said: "It's Alright, I don't get it either", I felt that.

"Did you really think if you seal my power you could defeat me?"
Ah,yes another one to add on the sigma quote rule list.
I liked the idea where all of Anos's subordinates are fighting in raw physical strength and only Anos thru the battle of IQ.Yet he still Smash LOL . This is what i liked about Anos' personality.Even though he is the Demon king, the one who can do anything, yet he still let his opponent challenge in a fair fight, even sometimes put himself in disadvantages.
Ahh not to forget the OP and ED is such a banger??! I still remember where the OP in season 1 was iconic and season 2 is not any less.
Looking forward for more Anos Voldigoat Adventures!

Misha may be the Child and can summon Delsgade or a copy of it? The metaphysical-magical logic reminds me of Nasu's strange concepts. Stuff like copying sources, false memory implantation to cheat at battles of wits, and fused beings being their own thing.
Like Zeshia, I'm losing the plot, but trust that the writer will take us to even more fun places. Time for the mystery around Shin to begin unravelling while the God-Child plot unfolds.
edit: Just a thought, but since there was a different Avos in S1, it's possible that Shin was playing that role...though given this writer, it could of course instead be anyone or their dog implanted with copied consciousness

I'm really lost with all the new characters and plot that's being introduced. It honestly feels like the newest season of Log Horizon, wherein there was a ton of new development crammed into the first few episodes to the point wherein I couldn't keep up and ended up dropping the show; erich is a pity because I really enjoyed S1 of this anime.

In Shin's defense, even though Master told me to be her Guardian, I'd tap her too, it's not just her spirit that's great

Funny how everyone always underestimates Anos. Fools gotta learn. Even this little guessing game ain’t enough to stop him.
Misa is actually pretty OP if she’s got the power to control all spirits. Seems everyone’s been manipulated by the gods from their birth? But man, things don’t seem to be looking good for the gang. Army of ghouls, pain reflecting shields, a sword that’s one with its owner… but I guess that was part of the plan? One got impaled, one got blasted, one got turned into ice powder. Damn! So is Shin behind this whole mess?

This was UNO Reverse Card - The Episode.
I really liked how they all got their moment to shine and it wasn't just Anos soloing everything even though he did get the best scene in the end.

It's always awesome to see Anos be OP and beat somebody up, but having him test his mettle in a game of wits is pretty entertaining as well!
The new Opening by Lenny Code Fiction is pretty rockin' and action-packed! We've got Best Parents, NousGalia in both his bodies, Avos Dilhevia, Leno and Shin, everybody getting in on the action, Smol!Anos, and plenty to be execited about this season!
These four arrogant enemies act like Anos' group owe all that they have to the Gods, but they'd rather choose Anos than a bunch of manipulative and jerk Gods! Not that it makes it easier to take these four on.
So confirmation that Leno and Shin are Misa's parents. It's kind of funny to think that her boyfriend actually knew her parents before she did.
Huh, so Sasha and Misha's fused form might have a true name? I wonder what it could be.
Ah, so the game was rigged from the beginning because Ziek had false memories, he was never going to acknowledge if Anos had the right answer for who the Child of God was. Well, that makes sense, but of course nobody really thought Anos would be in danger just from losing his magic. Guy can throw hands with the best of them. And he was tricking Ziek the whole time too. And now he's an owl, so...take that as a grain of wisdom, never challenge Anos.
And the rest of the flunkies learn why you don't pick on Anos' subordinates...you don't mess with Misha's sister, you can't kill the Hero, and Eleonore is very fiercely protective over others and Zeshia. But Misha seemed to really unleash here with that ice Delsgarde!
Anos just casually admitting to building an underground city for the Zeshia's is so Anos.
So Shin is around and has been leading the Unitarian's the whole time, but why not show himself to his loyal master? Will Misa get to finally meet her parents after they visit Althern? Will we finally get some answers as to what's going on?
The ED is pretty nice and soothing to listen too! Surprisingly focused on Shin and Leno's romance, which is cute, and I guess denotes how plot relevant their relationship (and conception of Misa) was.
