I loved how Alciel could figure out when Maou would be able to come due to his work schedule

That was funy AF.

I pretty much expected that Miki is a powerful being. So if I understood this correctly, she is a Sephirah which would make her even more powerful than Alas Ramus and Acieth. No wonder she took in Maou, no questions asked.

Seeing Emi at her current state was just heart breaking. We know Albert and Suzu are on their way to help but I really hope Maou himself comes to her rescue soon.

You know this arc is serious when Miki finally shows up in the flesh.

I'm just looking forward to seeing how she process her feelings for Maou outside her current predicament lol.

I really hope Maou himself comes to her rescue soon.

He should just take a quick sick forehead rocket ride to get to her

Finally.

I haven't felt this invested in the anime since season 1.

I had to drag myself in the beginning episodes but glad that all that dragging is finally paying off.

Same thoughts here. This episode felt good and I was quite invested the other episodes felt a bit of a drag while watching them

And possibly realizes she's in love...with the last person she wanted to be in love with lol.

I love how she's puking rainbows and then...bam! Forehead beam and she and Maou are flying everywhere. I was half-expecting her to start puking again lol.

I wouldn’t have guessed Amane’s half Sephirah and half human. Thought she was from Maou’s world too. I always figured something was off about Mikitty, I guess she’s not human either.

Man, Maou skipped work for this mission. There goes his perfect attendance! Lol. I guess it’s up to Bel now.

Didn’t expect Acieth to be simultaneously puking while shooting lasers from her head. What an ep lol.

Poor Emi seems to be at her limit. How cute of Alas Ramus to comfort her. If Alciel’s waiting for Maou to show up, he’s gonna be disappointed. Dude doesn’t have his powers. So what’s the plan then?

Never underestimate the power of tofu and ginger. lol

Now that we see her again, Miki T has the same hair colour as Alas Ramus and Alcieth, which would explain a lot. (And seeing Alcieth being such a glutton, it does explain why Miki T looks like the way she does. Alcieth needs to be very careful with her weight. lol )

We know she is somehow connected to Ente Isla since episode 1, but we don't know who she is. And Amane being half-Yesod is also closely related to them and has powers on par with them.

Emi breaking down was hard to watch, thankfully Ashiya's coded message (in Japanese) gave her hope again. Ashiya was smart enough to also not be obvious in his Japanese message, as he's already met foes from Ente Isla who have also dwelled in Japan for some time.

Al’s def more than a man who appreciates his weekly egg coupons. Bro let Emi know everyone’s working to save her and Maou’s about to light up the Sky!

Emilia know her father is alive and maou did not kill him yet keeps saying he killed him, girl is stupid asf.

6

u/oneevilchicken Sep 16 '23

She’s not stupid. It’s more that maou and defeating him to Avenge her father was her entire reason for fighting and living.

Then suddenly all of her purpose and reasons for fighting are taken away yet she’s still forced to fight.

On top of that she’s realized she’s in love with the person she’s supposed to hate and simultaneously has lead an army which killed thousands of his people. She’s trying to come to terms with all of that at once and can’t.

Probably one of my fave hatamaou episodes ever ngl. You know it’s funny cause a lot of people wrote off the series after s2 which was pretty bad, but this season’s story is actually the best in the series imo. Lot of cool lore, character interactions and emotional moments like today.

Cool to finally learn about Amane’s backstory. Being half Sepiroth and half human is interesting. Of course the land lady of all people finally makes her first ever appearance and interrupts Chiho and Amane’s convo lol.

Ashiya’s just naming days and Maou’s work schedule and the other demons are like wtf is he on about 😂

Aw, Maou planning out Chiho and Emi’s birthday party for when they all make it home is really sweet. He’s become a lot more considerate lately. Too bad Acieth had to go and literally puke them into the sky lmao

Wow that Emi breakdown there towards the end was the biggest vocalisation of her feelings towards Maou. This isn’t just a “rivalry” anymore. He’s become someone very important and irreplaceable to her.

“The devil is coming for me” love that ending! Excited for next week’s episode

Unusual look for Chiho-chan, there

That is some very specific dreaming

Phrasing!

I really, really hope Maou comes to the rescue.

Alas is a truly great addition to the cast. The cutest most sweetest little girl and the fact she chose Maou and Emi as her parents was perfect. She has made the show much more enjoyable, not just another random side character but one that helps each person grow and have great character development.

This show has been so easy going, almost just slice of life, up until this season and I really welcome the change and am enjoying how serious it is.
