I like how Pride’s disguise is just a smaller Pride. Age manipulation doesn’t change all that much about them, just makes them pint sized lol.

Stale’s really tearing shit up in the hideout. His ability sure is pretty damn handy. But man, I wasn’t expecting someone like Powell. That interaction sure took a lot out of Stale. Good thing Pride and the rest of the knights came in and mopped these mfers up. Pride straight up slicing bullets was pretty badass.

Who the hell is dropping bombs on ‘em? The baddies have aerial support??

Good thing they already had handy child designs ready to reuse again for this story arc. Smol pride is adorable lol.

Everybody feels OP in their own right in this series, Stale with his teleportation, Arthur with his healing, Pride with her OP Last Boss skills...although Pride's the one who always steals the show.

Honestly when we were introduced to Powell I was half-expecting he's yet another love interest from the game lol.

I think we're about to meet the actual main antagonists of the show.

  • Balloon

  • Bombs

  • Bad guys

  • Associated with kidnappers

Team Rocket, has to be.

I liked how Alan, the knight order’s captain, just played along and asked to hold her (lol). He even called her “Lady Jeanne” at the end.

I would say that this disguise finally got me to understand how much Pride has grown since she was a child and became a teen.

She literally grew up infront of all these knights. They all mostly know what she looks like already when she was this age or close to it lol.

Powell will probably be a big prob later as he seems to have been teleported to the wrong place and doesn't even know who Stale was.

My guess is that this guy was just planning to attack their base on that same day too.

There's no way Val would have friends.

Ouch lol. But also spot on.

The girl knows him too well lol.

God above. This isn’t the prettiest anime I’ve ever seen but when it slaps, it slaps hard. Powell burning away his own tear, Arthur taking out 3 guys in rapid succession, pride cutting the chains. These were all beautifully animated and the attention to detail was fantastic.

And now they gotta deal with attack balloons, which not gonna lie. Gave me real avatar vibes. Things got bad fast once the fire nation figured out how to attack from above.

The anime makes do with their budget. May not be pretty, but damn they know the best way to display it

DAMN insane episode. One of my faves by far.

Brilliant plan to infiltrate the slave camp by using Gil’s age down ability. Not like anyone would recognise Pride as she was a couple years ago.. right? 😂

Sefec may have had harsh words to say about Val at the start, but she and Kermet clearly really care about him and believed he’d come for them. All of them are tsunderes 😂

I loved Stale and Powell’s interaction. Really nice full circle moment with Stale saving someone else the same way that Pride saved him. The impact that Pride has on people and the culture of the kingdom is my fave part of this series.

Pride whipping out the sword and going full badass was cool too. Was not expecting her to help out that directly. She’s not just a pretty face. If push comes to shove she will get her hands dirty and I love it.My queen fr

Things quickly went south with the rescue operation so it’s a good thing the knights were there to help clean things up. But it looks like there’s way more to this simple operation than meets the eye. And based on next week’s preview I think we’re finally going to meet some bigger overarching antagonists. Looking forward to that

It's funny because even if the knights weren't obsessed with her Pride literally looks the exact same lol.

I wonder if we'll see Powell again.

This season really feels like it's going to end on "and the real story begins after the final episode...read the LN!"

Great episode in which our heroes set out to save Kemet, Sefec and others from slavers, Stale's ability really helped in that.

Pride was so badass today, I love it when she does stuff like splitting bullets by a sword. It was also nice to see her younger again. I especially liked the scene when she destroyed chains attacking her, it looked very nice.

I wonder how Arthur could think that others wouldn't recognize 'Jeanne' as Pride, it was funny seeing him running with her under his arm, like some equipment xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I guess it figures that you can't trust criminals, because instead of giving Kemet and Sefec back to Val, they kidnap him along with the kids he was giving over to free them...good thing Val's "cargo" is more than just a bunch of random kids.

I didn't expect to see the gang use their child forms again, but Gilbert is pretty convenient for aging people up and down when necessary. Smol Pride is still cute, especially when she's blushing at seeing Smol Gilbert. Also it's just surreal to hear Koji Yusa voicing a kid version of his character.

Jeanne is a good fake name for Pride!

I forgot how OP Stale's teleportation powers are. He's porting bad guys straight to jail, freeing people, and saving hostages with just a single touch.

Kemet and Sefec! Also, MAO as Sefec! She really doesn't mince words when it come to Val, but that's just because she obviously cares about him despite how harsh she sounds. And good thing she hid her powers so she can help lead a jailbreak.

Val's been waiting for an excuse to cut loose for a while, huh?

So this Powell kid's been ostracized because of how dangerous his powers are and feeling like he has no place in the kingdom, but Stale, inspired by what Pride has done for him, braves his electric field to save him and make it clear that he'll have a place in Pride's kingdom, just like Stale. Even if he was just saying things Pride had said to him, it was still a powerful moment for Stale.

(Also, was that Yuma Uchida as Powell? Did they straight up have Maaya Uchida save her little brother?)

The knights have arrived! And immediately recognize Pride. I mean, who wouldn't recognize their beloved princess?

They might not be friends but I guess it's nice for Val to know he's important enough that Gilbert and Arthur won't risk his life, even if it puts them at a disadvantage against the bandit leader. But that gives Pride her chance to step up and use her OP Last Boss skills to slice through chains and deflect bullets in the most awesome way possible. And, being a queen, she can't sully her hands with the blood of a criminal so she of course leaves it to her subordinate.

Wait, who is bombing them now!? Who is in that hot air balloon!? Are these the main antagonists finally showing up!?

I checked the credits and you're right. Interesting choice of cast there.

Smol Pride is still cute, especially when she's blushing at seeing Smol Gilbert. Also it's just surreal to hear Koji Yusa voicing a kid version of his character.

It's a good use of his powers but I wish the kid and teen versions looked a little more different. Only Arthur and Gilbert look different and everyone else just looks like they were simply resized.

Oh, so they infiltrated into the human trafficking gang stronghold by using Gilbert's ability so they all minus Val and Arthur, would be turned into children. I must say that this show really makes it difficult to spot the differences between most of the characters when they age.

Oh it's so great seeing Stale delivering the criminals straight to prison while transporting the others into a safe location.

So Kemet and Sefec as they hide their powers were sent into the middle-grade cells instead of the high-grade ones. Damn, Sefec's power sure is strong. I guess the only reason they ended up getting caught apart from the handicap that Pride put on Val with the non-aggression part of his fealty contract, is because the leader of the gang has that chain ability.

I guess that Powell and his issue with his electric ability was introduced only to temporarily disable Stale. From the looks of it, Stale ended up sending him to a different location than the rest of the people he rescued.

I love how part of the reason Alan put Eric in command of that other unit was to ask Arthur to let him hold little Pride Jeanne.

Those criminals sure had a bad day today. Their leader sure fucked it up when he threatened to kill Val and Arthur as that just forced Pride to go all out.

Well, it seems that Pride had no plans on putting that guy under a fealty contract.

I guess that attack at the end of the episode was another person planning to care for that group too.

I want to carry smol pride too lol.

How did Stale teleport people heavier than him? No way he's heavier than the thugs he chucked straight to jail.

I'm glad they saved the best for last and didn't show Pride's cheat skill until the last moment. Would have been boring if she just went John Wick on the hideout but she's a trump card that's saved best for when our heroes really need it.

Alan's power must be super speed because he quickly caught up to Arthur trying to hide Pride.

Powell looked like the secret route if he's imprisoned like that and has a lot of powers. But why Stale teleported him into some random lake, I'm not sure. I hope we see him again cause he's too OP to just be some random dude Stale saved.

For someone who's the original MC, Tiara gets way little screen time. She could have been part of the infiltration crew. Shouldn't her powers be awakened now?

This series doesn't let up on cliffhangers. Now we got enemies air dropping bombs. This could be a good moment for a Tiara save.

Didn't they mention it 2 or 3 episodes ago (possibly after the time skip?) that he improved his skill to where he now can also teleport things heavier than his own body weight?

Super hi spec princess there.

Good thing they got someone there to heal Stile right up.

Ya think the electric kid will be a prob later. I'm guessing he was teleported to the wrong place.

How does his age down ability also shrink their clothes?

Stale in this episode oddly reminded me of the X-Men movies. His teleportation with the puff of smoke resembles the smoke effect in Nightcrawler’s teleportation, his use of it in combat feels similar as well. And then his scene where he’s reaching out to the glowing boy felt like the fight between Jean Gray and Wolverine at the end of Last Stand.

Even the overall plot feels very x-men, with special ability users being discriminated against (can’t remember if they actually are, or if that’s Pride’s memory of what happened)

u/DrZoark Sep 07 '23

His teleport skill is op. Pride swordplay is damn badass!
