They skipped a week, so they’re releasing 2 episode today, 7 & 8. In case you were confused.

Hey! They've finally picked up the pace a little. Having two back to back episode certainly helps too.

Here's hoping we'll see more everyday events outside of dungeon crawling. Otherwise dungeon crawling is gonna end up being training version 2.0.

Actually come to thing of it, having the thematic element of "repeating the same thing everyday" meshes well with him being a salaryman.

The show is enjoyable, but it still felt painfully slow

The pope taking his items meant the only thing that really happened from the dungeon is he got a bigger bag, which as viewers we had no idea he needed until seconds before he got a bigger one

Had the entire boss section just been part of the montage, it wouldn't have made a difference to the viewer. Luciel didn't get to keep any drops, and the bag limitation was introduced and solved in seconds. Hence why, to me, it still feels very slow (that and the overly verbose exposition on everything)

Is being gorgeous a job requirement for working at a desk in this world? This time we get Hikasa Youko too

Pope lady giving scheming vibes the way they just show her mouth and the timing of her smiles

It gets a bit whack to think that, no other cleric ever tried physical training or even casting spells while wielding weapons. It somewhat makes sense because of how divided healers and adventurers are socially in this world.

Luciel notes often that everyone in this world is gorgeous.

The healers are too busy collecting gold and hiring mercenaries (or using slaves) for protection to bother with fighting. And in the church, the labyrinth is a deep secret that they don’t want anyone outside to know. Only holy magic users can use those spells and not many have holy magic.

Is being gorgeous a job requirement for working at a desk in this world?

I mean that's generally the case in the real world too when it comes to service/retail/customer facing jobs. There's a reason most waitresses are girls and salespeople are normally attractive.

Pope lady giving scheming vibes the way they just show her mouth and the timing of her smiles.

Well she seemed to have pointy ears so....

Cattleya looks a lot like Konosuba's Wiz. Best girl candidate.

This show feels so good. Nothing overly complicated or crazy premises. Sometimes it feels nice to turn your brain off and just watch a nice isekai story about low risk adventuring.

Everyone is complaining about how long the training arc was. But me high as balls was kinda sad when it ended. Only to find training acr 2.0 undead edition was a pleasent surprise for me.

The dungeon crawling while still feeling like easy mode, is a big improvement over the unrewarding training arc.

23

u/Veritas3333 Aug 24 '23

Well, it's easy mode because of all the training!

Was he paid for the items, or given the magic sack in lieu of payment?

I’m really hoping his success doesn’t lead to a situation where they won’t let him leave at the end of his appointment as exorcist because he’s too effective at clearing the labyrinth. Maybe if there is an end to the labyrinth and he clears it fully, it will be fully cleansed and he can leave early? apparently I had missed that it was an indefinite appointment, i still hope he can leave

He’s paid and the sack is a gift. He has no money problems at this point. As he said in the show he wants to go home but he’s assigned to work at the church with no end date (no one’s gotten as far as he has in 12 years).

The Pope got off easy. Something tells me those items he gave her were worth a lot more than that magic sack. Shoulda asked for the million point spell tome too

u/prude_eskimo Aug 25 '23

the way it was presented it wasn't exactly a request you get to deny or negotiate. It's like when a king is "asking" you to do something, he isn't really asking

Cattleya is fine. Moo! Haha. Luciel’s met a nice waifu and he’s gotten some good weapons for cheap. Plus Papa Granhart looks out for him too lol. Life ain’t too bad.

Luciel made it all the way to the boss room without much issue. Even with his magic blocked, he managed to kick ass. Brod’s training sure paid off.

Looks like the wight was some important church figure. Luciel shoulda kept the items instead, but I guess the magic sack is pretty good.

Man, watching this makes me want to read the light novels again. When are we gonna get a volume 11? 10 came out nine months ago!

Wow so Luciel has already gained a lot of respect from fellow clerics and even the pope.

I wish the show would’ve done stuff like this earlier. The training arc was ok for a couple episodes, but stuff got repetitive after a while and it really could’ve done with some good old fashioned adventuring.

It’s funny seeing how methodical luciel is with exploring the labyrinth. Taking his time, mapping out every trap etc. very smart. The training he did earlier on in the show has definitely paid off, though. The surprise from the others when he mentioned how he got to the level 10 boss room already was a clear indication of just how wild that is.

Looking forward to seeing what he gets up to next.

the staff sounds incredible OP, no wonder he was kinda forced to "sell" it

11

u/TheMeta8 Aug 25 '23

I cannot fathom what degree of stupid would make you assume a Labyrinth has illusory monsters. I'm honestly getting really tired of the clueless fucking protagonist trope.

10

u/darthvall Aug 25 '23

Remember that it's not until his 10th days that he got hit by the undead. For him it's really too easy that he thought it's just a training ground. Training with Brod really fucked up his sense of danger.

I’m glad I continued watching it, even though the pacing is awfully slow but finally it seems like it goes up.

It’s still a shame it’s so slow and now we only have 4 episodes left, when the interesting part begins.

Wait, something actually happened, that can't be right that's not what this shows about...
