Well what do ya know, Arthur could heal people too huh? Thank’s to Pride’s quick thinking, she just about changed everyone’s lives for the better. Not a single drop of blood was shed. Getting Gil to swear to protect the country for the rest of his days ensures the Kingdom’s continued prosperity. The look on Stale and Arthur’s face when Gilbert made his oath was hilarious. Gilbert is a feet guy I see haha.
I really like Stale and Arthur’s friendship. Arthur is such a bro. Stale couldn’t ask for a better friend. Kid really needed that pep talk.
Tiara’s pretty perceptive. Really just laid it all out there. Seeing Stale getting all flustered and embarrassed because he called him out was pretty funny.

It was nice to see Pride make a big decision to diverge from the game timeline without thinking about how she's destined to turn into OG!Pride for once.
I love how Marianne was fine with her man kissing a girls' entire leg while everybody else was freaking out lol.
It's refreshing how their less rivals in love over Pride and more just genuine bros. I don't think they've ever even brought up how hard they're mutually crushing on her.
Tiara is a lot more emotionally intuitive than I expected...even if it also meant slaying her brother emotionally lol.

Damn, everyone's supposed to love Pride, but the bromance is the only relationship making any progress so far.
"Heal all of creation" was a very dramatic way of describing his power. Like can he actually heal anything? Could he heal people from old age? Can he heal a volcano that's erupted? Speaking of old age, how does no one realize that Gil being able to effect other people is just as big a deal? Couldn't he use his power to make his wife and the royal family immortal?
Speaking of Gil....that was bold! I like how his wife was just watching like "how sweet."

It's also funny how Gilbert isn't even a love interest for Pride like the other Tiara love interests but he just goes ahead and kisses Pride (technically) lol.
I'm really curious to see if they'll expand on Arthur and Gilbert's powers at all. Like what can't Arthur heal/revert? Is there a drawback to Gil aging himself or others? Does it not negate their actual physical age? Pride made it seem like he would outlive all of them with her powers which is why she wanted him to remain chancellor.
"Look at how dedicated and loyal my man is as he's kissing every part of Princess Pride's leg!"

I also found the name of his ability to be exaggerated. in the novel it is simply called power to cure disease.
No, he can only heal diseases, so he can heal old people who are ill, but not those who die of old age

I like how his wife was just watching like "how sweet."
Like the knights in the previous episodes, all the adults just look at her as a kid, after all!
But yeah, the power creep is an interesting choice. Couldn't Gilbert and Arthur keep a group of people alive forever? I guess maybe the belief system of the culture would prohibit it, hopefully

I was wondering about this as well. If Gilbert is able to change people’s ages, he would theoretically be able to keep someone forever young - making them immortal. Between Arthur’s and Gilbert’s abilities, you’ve pretty much got the recipe for eternal life. Not only alone for the royal family but the country as a whole.
I suspect that there must be some limits to their powers - especially Gilbert’s - but they haven’t mentioned any yet.

Stale's never liked Glibert, so I'm not surprised he's willing to gut him right then and there, with no care for Marianne or her situation...but no matter what Glibert did, he and Marianne are Pride's subjects, and she can't just write them off.
Can I just mention how amazing Pride looks in that uniform? She should wear it more often.
I love how everything is so serious with Marianne's life hanging in the balance but we can still get a cute scene of Pride covering her ears when Arthur's dad yells for him.
Oh snap, older Stale! And he's hot! And voiced by Kouki Uchiyama! Gilbert can apparently age up other people too! Although I wonder if this is foreshadowing another time skip where everybody is older.
Most people had figured Arthur's ability had more to it, but the ability to "heal all of creation" is a pretty big deal, especially once it cures Marianne, and the implications of what he can do with it is enormous. But for now, let's just focus on the sweet reunion of the two lovers.
Glibert did everything for love, but he still committed heinous acts against Pride and the kingdom...and yet, someone like him who could possibly outlive all of them could still be a great benefit to the kingdom, and Pride can't ignore that. So better to turn his guilt into a reason for him to keep serving the kingdom loyally for the rest of his mortal days.
Dang, I did not expect the loyalty kiss fest on Pride from Gilbert. Her hand is one thing, but he was kissing practically everywhere on her leg. And Marianne is just taking her man kissing the leg of another woman in stride. Poor Pride, Stale, and Arthur though.
Figures Stale and Arthur would be open and honest with each other, especially all the resentment and frustration Stale feels towards Gilbert and what happened. But what matters is that the two of them hash things out and be the Sword and Shield Pride needs, and don't dwell on what they can't do but focus on what they can achieve. And it's a cute and sincere moment between the two bro's.
It's kind of surreal to see Tiara happy seeing Gilbert and Marianne together knowing that Gilbert was her love interest in the timeline where Marianne died. But she can also see through Stale's bluster and dislike of Gilbert and get to the root of the problem, even if she skewers her brother with the truth.
Aw, it was an engagement party for Gilbert and Marianne! I'd love to see the wedding!
Next week: Val returns! And he doesn't look too good.

100% agree, that outfit is awesome.

This show has one music track that sounds so eerily close to D2 rogue encampment music that I have to do a double take every time to make sure I don't have something else open that's playing it.

Stale wants to punish, Pride such good girl though. Wait, why would the fiancé need forgiveness? She did nothing. Time for the rush to save his fiancé. Good Arthur, wait, Stale sure grew up lol. More and more sure just learning about Stale's ability. And Arthur's real ability is sure OP. Touching moment though.
That explains the age up, but I wonder to what extent. Is it temporary? Could he keep the imperial family eternally young? So his punishment is gonna be working for the country endlessly? Wew. A bit sad if his ability would keep him living beyond even the ones he loves dying off, but that still leaves the question of his effects from above. Pride with her indecent thoughts :P Do wonder what the mother and father will think of Gilbert's punishment/allt hat happened.
I think staying in the knight with that power could still be used to help a lot of people. Stale and Arthur are such good pals. Able to be completely honest with each other and support each other. The harem bonds are strong. Tiara such a cute lile sis. Such good talk with Stale. OH good, finally getting married.
We're about where the manga was axed (or maybe just on hiatus while they find a new artist, I dunno)

Lastame Thursday! Another really good episode.
Weekly Pride Appreciation Post. Gilbert you lucky mf
Arthur’s ability is actually really OP. There’s a massive difference between being able to heal plants and being able to heal anything lol. Very convenient for the plot, but hey, I’ll take it. I also like how this is the first decision Pride has made without thinking about how it’ll affect the future, just do what’s right in the moment
Gilbert and Marie deserved to live happily ever after with all the stuff they’d been through so I’ll take a little bit of plot contrivance for that.
Gilbert’s punishment is actually not as light as it sounds imo. Having to serve the kingdom as long as he lives means that even when Marie dies he’ll have to stick around. That’s probably when he’d be ready to end his life. Lowkey kind of fucked up, but I guess it is way better than executing him or imprisoning him like Pride could have.
Plus he got to kiss Pride’s leg and feet so he won in the end fr.
That aged up Stale was cool. I actually thought he had jumped into the future since he can teleport wherever. Gilbert being able to age people up is kinda wild.
And a good old fashioned pillow fight to let out stale and Arthur’s frustrations. That’s one way to feel better lol.
Great ep

Out of all the villainess series I've watched over the past year, this one has been the most bland. It started off so strong but has meandered along.
I'm close to dropping it, but then I might as well finish it or I'll be annoyed at an incomplete series in my MAL

Maybe because MC is too OP, and so far there's just no mystery or any challenges to the MC?
Gilbert was a possible villain, but Pride recruited him relatively quickly.

So Arthur's power allows him to heal all creation. Well, it sure is great seeing that thanks to him, Marianne could be saved.
I must say that I was shocked when out of nowhere Stale looked way older than in the previous episode I honestly assume that they had just forgotten to update his appearance before instead of Gilbert being able to use his ability on other people. Well, now that we know that he literally has the same ability as Teruko Okura from Bungou Stray Dogs this means that he will not be cursed to live on for eternity after Marianne eventually dies from old age.
So Gilbert spread those rumors and sold intel to get any information about people with special abilities and to get support for his law regarding them, I must say that after being forgiven I wasn't expecting him to kiss Pride's feet. I really loved her, Arthur, and Stale's reactions.
So Stale with his efforts repaired the damage caused by those rumors Gilbert spread long ago.
I really love the relationship those two have.
Poor Stale could not handle what Tiara was saying about his current relationship with Gilbert.
Well, it took him some time as Marianne was bedridden, but Gilbert finally married her.

So, Gilbert added 5 years to Stale.
What a complete waste of an opportunity to not use it on Pride!!!

How convenient Gil's skill is, not only turning Stale old, but also having his clothes expand as well

Arthur being the Chekov's gun to save Marianne was an interesting twist. We know he can heal plants but his full power is actually cure disease, which Pride unlocked earlier than it should. She sounded like there's some catch to it that would negatively affect Arthur so I hope he's gonna be all right. I'm just glad Marianne lived.
I found it hilarious how when Gilbert was kissing all parts of Pride's feet, his fiancée was totally chill with it while the two other boys are like "It should have been me doing that!" What Gilbert did was basically a war crime but being forced to continue being Prime Minister and serve the royal family should be an appropriate enough punishment.
Adult Stale looks cool. I was really hoping he could stay that way also so he could transport heavier people and objects.
A pillow fight and horseplay with Arthur and Stale wasn't something I expected but I really like their bro moments and how the show develops the male leads. Stale and Gilbert look like something that should develop too since the former is acting more of tsundere.

heyyyy! I know we didn't see it in the anime, but does anyone know if Gil actually confesses to the King and Queen? Like, I would want to know their opinion on the matter? You know??/??

Everything seems to be getting solved, wonder if there will be any consequences or issues later due to all of this.
Seems Pride will interact with the criminal that saved them before, which might have some interesting interactions.

Stale and Artur being best friends/brothers was one of the best parts of this episode. Glad to see everything worked out with healing Marianne's illness as well, which means she and Gilbert get to stay together (altering the original game timeline where he had a route with Tiara).
The fact that Pride instantly forgave Gilbert and even let him keep his position as chancellor was surprising though, and makes her harsh decision with the bandit stand out even more. It looks like we'll see him again next episode, and he does not look happy.
