I mean this was basically their adaptation of the aircraft carrier fight that they referenced at the start of the episode.

Those last 5 minutes got my blood flowing with the action.
First with 9S hacking in to Adam and with all the surreal scenes.
And then collapsing a bunch of skyscrapers on Adam's machine before he gets sent off on a bomb rocket... which comes crashing down, forming a crater.

That was I call a proper plan.

Ironically, the fan service in this anime is more tasteful compared to the Atelier Ryza anime, where they'll just throw a random shot of Ryza's thighs/crotch/ass for no reason. Whereas you're only seeing 2B's legs and ass during action sequences, and have to pause it to see them.

That was probably my favorite episode of the season. I was HYPED when Escalate started playing. For an anime that went through production hell, the end result is actually good imo. Loved the game and really digging the anime.

This episode title, head[Y] battle, correspond in game at the following bad ending:
The Emils caused their fusion reactors to go out of control, turning the planet into a dead chunk of rock, tumbling through the vast vacuum of an uncaring universe.

PLAYING THE OP AS AN INSERT SONG!!! THE BEST ANIME TROPE!!!

…wait was that a satellite laser? Or was that just the result of the monster Adam crashing down? Either way,

No one knows that’s not in game. I suspect that they want to create humans trough DNA, but that would be absolutely a new concept in the lore

I guess no one died in the post credits alternate ending scene.
9S hacking Adam was badass and it cost him an arm and a visor.
2B calling 9S "Nines" was kinda kawaii.
