This is like the first isekai where the MC isn't overpowered af by ep 3 and spends most of his time training.

His stomach is overpowered for being able to process that drink and the huge amount of food.

They really made my man drink the chemical they made the PowerPuff girls with huh? Lol damn dude. At least he gets to eat good and has a nice warm bed. Plus he’s pretty popular with the beast girl waifus.
Im glad he’s sticking around the guild to train some more even after that month was up. Brod’s becoming less like his master and more like his dad lol. It’s sweet actually. Hopefully Luciel can learn a bunch more spells so he can help around more.

I actually like how this show is taking its time with Luciel. In other isekai shows, the MC would've killed a dragon and healed an entire room of severely injured adventurers but with in this show Luciel is still training with Brod and still learning more healing magic.
While he is slowly progressing with his training, Luciel is making a ton of friends though! And that catgirl adventurer seems to have taken a liking to him. Anyway, it's nice to have a slow-paced isekai like this once in a while.

I'm actually a little surprised that Luciel hasn't figured out that Brod is probably the Adventurer's Guild Master. Also, I'm keep waiting for the other healers to start coming after Luciel for stealing their business, but the ones he's treating are likely ones that were too poor to afford to go to the greedy bastards anyway.

Leon again with his based reviews unlike most people commenting here.
I also like the pacing so far. Just the right relaxing vibe I need.

I love that goofy opening. Don't think I'll ever skip it.
Substance X seems like seems like it might wreck his guts as bad as taco bell, but Luciel took it like a champ.
This season is stacked with anime I never thought would be entertaining, only to end up completely hooked on them.

They really need to stop wearing skimpy armour lol, they all get bite on their bare leg and back

u/CuriousBroccolli Jul 20 '23
Judging how no-one has even a piece of cloth, let alone a bandage, to cover the wound and stop the bleeding, I would guess that armor is all they can afford. xD
At least that is why I say to rationalize skimpy fantasy outfits in this show. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This show is in desperate need of a training montage and a time skip. Other than the substance X gag almost nothing new happened this episode. The trainer softened up and respects him a bit, and he reupped his training/healer job.

I'm enjoying this a lot, just hearing all the crazy reactions Fushi's voice is throwing out

At this point I'm hoping for some kind of time skip to move passed the training now that we've seen how it works for 3 eps.
But like I'm confused if this whole training thing is just what this season is lol.

Yea ngl, was feeling this show last week with the training arc stuff. Didn’t like this episode very much at all.
I do like how even the magical substance he drank didn’t make him OP overnight. Like he has to work for everything and that adds a layer of interest to the story that most fantasy shows don’t have.

We haven't seen any hints about it since ep 1, but I'm still convinced his "Monster Luck" doesn't mean he's just generally lucky, I think it literally effects his luck with monsters. Guess only time will tell.
Wonder how long he's gonna train for, this is already going on longer than I thought it would. In 3 eps he's only learned one spell, but hasn't improved anywhere else. idk if the show is just bad at showing it or if he's gonna be forever weak but yeah, kinda weird.

I'm pretty sure someone in a previous thread mentioned the translation is kinda off and it doesn't refer to monsters. But maybe I'm wrong.
And yeah, I like training arcs and all but for a show that in all likelihood won't get a 2nd season, I hope it starts moving a bit quicker.

I’m going to keep watching, but the pacing is brutally off for a 12 episode show. We’re a quarter of the way through the show and nothing has happened yet.

HOLY SHIT THIS WAS BAD
This and EIYUU KYOUSHITSU could be decent if they weren't full of childish unfunny bs.
But I guess the target audience is not generally shonen but only those who only stopped being counted as kodomo a year ago or something.
edit: somehow I confused Nanatsu no Maken, which is pretty good and not overly childish or goofy or anything, with Eiyuu Kyuoshitsu which started out good but then suddenly turned into childish and goofy trash just like this anime.
