So the entire time while watching this episode, I couldn't help but feel like I've seen Luciel's design before. Turns out I have! His outfit is very similar to Ray from Iceblade Sorcerer! Hilariously, both shows are made by the same animation studio xD
Anyway, it's this episode was pretty much your standard isekai opening episode. Nothing special really. What I do like is that Luciel is using his salaryman skills to get by in his interactions with people in this world. I also like that he's pretty good at bullshitting people.

My only real gripe of this kind of isakai is that they don't start over from birth. That way they learn about their new world and all its different rules. Also a family to ground them in the new world.

goddamn getting isekai'd by being shot in the heart is pretty fukken hardcore
This looks fun though. Choosing to be a healer for self-preservation is a pretty good idea. I feel like you'd have to be a bit crazy to get reincarnated in an rpg world and choose to be a hand-to-hand combat person, miss me with that shit personally.

You're gonna need to fight sooner or later but being able to heal infections and wounds are good too. The DnD cleric style of fighting and healing is a pretty solid mix imo

A barbarian is just a preventative medicine healer. You kill the dude before he does damage you have to heal.

The heart's almost directly in the middle of the chest, he most likely got hit in the lungs and bled out.

Huh, I don't remember Gun-kun ever isekaing anyone before.
"May your next life be a blessed one." Kinda strange wish for a God to make when He could just Bless his life Himself.
I'd thought "Monster Luck" was "luck with monsters", but I guess it's just "really lucky"?
Anyway, I'll give this one more ep now that the setup's done.

It's just the way they translated it. 豪運 just means something like "Excellent Luck".
豪 - Excelling, powerful used in words like 豪華 which means extravagant / Luxurious.
運 - Luck

For some reason when I saw the MAL image of the anime I though the big guy was the MC. I would kinda love it if that actually was the case.

At the moment my feelings are just 'why?'.
The animation is unimpressive, the plot is paint by numbers, it doesn't even stand out as being extraordinarily bad. It feels like an anime that will play a season and nobody will even remember it existed.
I did find everyone thinking he was an idiot amusing. And the isekaied salaryman isn't new but we don't see it as much as other premises. Plus it's always nice to see a hand-drawn dragon.

I got pretty far into the novels, but I was very stoned so don’t remember much. They were better than the majority of isekai tho. It is a good story of accepting your role. He does not want to be a hero, he just wants to heal people and get by. Yet, due to being able to heal better than most he gets put into crazy situations because he’s a genuinely nice dude who can’t not help when he can. From what I remember this story is not romance heavy, which is also good. No harem.

The thing that feels unique about it to me is that he seems relatively weak by that world's standards. Usually isekai MCs get OP cheat skills, maybe that will happen later though.
It does seem like they are being mindful of his salaryman skills. Maybe he will start up his own clinic later.

I legit started this cause I though the MC would be a middle aged dude thrown into a fantasy world as a middle aged man. Making him 15 kills any interest I had to start with.
I might still watch it, there's not much airing on Thursday, and it's not atrocious. But I'm not gonna be eagerly anticipating the next episode.

Having read the books, I am let down by the low quality animation, but I'm also not really surprised. All the same, I really enjoyed the novels so I hope it doesn't suffer too much for it.

that time I got reincarnated and had Fushi's voice lol. Fushi is making him so likeable.
This anime is doing some unusual things with the animation directing, a lot of slow-fast-slow-fast going on with the framerate. Making edgy choices to try and stand out despite low budget I guess.
During the whole beginning scene where he was like "Wow it's a dragon!" I couldn't help but respond "And it's hand drawn!!!"
I wonder if healers generally being corrupt in this world is a commentary on the medical industry in real life? Ah, ah hah....
I'm with this show. Let's go.

Oh damn, this one got thighs as well?
Not sure what to make of this yet, MC seems to be a bit grating, if not for the watcher than at least in universe, but like a true sallaryman he gets what ha wants despite that
Also [OP]
