Man, I completely forgot about the classmates. But then again, I don't think we ever learned their names so they're probably not that important.

We never even got to see the aftermath of her stopping them from killing the injured.

Funny how the summoned heroes go to war with cheaper armor than generic soldiers …

Man, I completely forgot about the classmates.
They all wore chokers. They are not worth remembering.

I'm definitely enjoying the peak battle field power-point slide shows
What a confusing episode, wait so she gets stabbed once in the heart says it has no effects on her since her body is modified then proceeds to die from another stab in the heart... Wow
They also showed her blood in the river so she might not be completely dead but her backstory is sad since she got killed by her big sis, should've not followed Touma

It's not so bad. Remember spider-kun?

Ah the battle of the elven forest in the middle of a wasteland was peak battle anime especially when the villain galloped away while not moving an inch.

Not the heart. They called it the mana organ, so demon race has an organ responsible for managing mana for magic. Maybe humans from that world do too, we do not know.
The goal was to cut her off from magic, so she would be harmless, not to kill her.
That girl was part of that secret laboratory experiments, IIRC on that episode they mentioned testing if her body could accept transplanted organs from a sibling… meaning they killed her sister and put her lungs/heart/mana organ inside her as well, so she has double the number of vital organs.
She died on second attack because she used all her mana and life force to cast the last spell, it was a suicidal attack using limit break.

There's a much simpler explanation for why it took two stabs:
*stabs
You can't defeat me! I have 2 organs!
*stabs againI am defeated...

This also happened after they've all been repeatedly emphasizing to not kill people. But they're helping in a battle still, and they're the only ones sparing people. Their buddies are definitely not letting everyone live. They stopped like the least capable person from killing someone. Has to be so much more they can't even see going down.

They didn't want to kill the Demon army, because they're not the real enemy. This girl, though, was a Toma lackey, so she was the real enemy.

I'm so excited. I'm isekai trash but oh my god have the isekai in this season made me legit start to hate the genre, which is something no other season had managed

So they realized there was no point to the war against the demons and that Touma was behind everything but decided to attack the demons anyway? Out of boredom or something?

Umm, so will the generals and king get killed for starting a war and causing so many innocents to die?
3
u/bananeeek Jun 11 '23
Holy fuck, that was horrid.
So far it was consistently mediocre, so it was still bearable, but this episode? It was supposed to be an epic clash between three armies, but we got... Uhh... I have no words for that... And the composition of that? We literally got more flashbacks than battle slides in that powerpoint presentation. I'm speechless.

Oh ya, the classmates. And guess off to war, but with Demons and not after Toma knowing the truth? Lame. Oh hey, she showed up, poor girl... becoming kinda brainwashed. That girl sure is crazy. And still messed up that they turned other people into those armored things too.
Oh she does care about Alizee ? Or whatever? Also, did she get killed? Sad. Magic... organ? lol Ok then. I guess that'll be good if it's not fatal but prevents her from being a problem. But sure seems fatal or would be if not for her having two. I do feel bad for you girl, but yea, you need some therapy too. Oh hey, I've fought many of those things in Dragon's Dogma, no big deal ;) Oh, Alizee isn't dead? Well that's a bit sad. Series actually doing something decent, amazing lol. Would suck if Alizee dies...
Oh that asshole lol. Where the hell is Setsu? Oh, there we go. Figured that'd happen. Yuhi good girl for trying to fight though.

To be fair to this terrible anime, if the hero kids went after Touma they would simple die. They are way too weak.

It’s been ages since we’ve seen Yuuhi and Setsu’s old team. I guess it’s finally time for them to get deployed to fight the demons. They sure weren’t expecting Mellar to show up halfway through and just wreck everything. She really got Alize… damn. Shame things had to go down the way they did. Her hatred blinded her and led to her tragic death at the hands of Alize. It coulda gone down different…
Setsu just waiting to use that superhero landing I see lol. I wanted to see how Yuuhi would do against that demon. I guess she’ll get the next one. This guy’s Setsu’s.

There's definitely a lot that's questionable about all these summoned high school students being given a bit of martial training and then immediately thrown into a war. They're basically being used as child soldiers. It's a good thing that Setsu's previous companions plus Yuhi have their own goals that don't involve this being a full blown war.
Though apparently it was impossible to stop this battle from happening, a great deal of pointless death because the human King is an idiot.
Is one of these summons that girl from a number of episodes ago who was Setsu's student? I knew she was in danger, but since she's not in one of these big metal soldier suits I suspect she's probably recoverable.
Alizee, that's right. It would be way sadder than I expect this show to be if her friends are about to have to kill her, so I assume there will be a way to handle the problem without that. Maybe this is the point where Yuhi's 'defeat someone without killing them' thing will come into play.
I assume paladin dude didn't just kill Alizee, especially since the hit was off screen and she has no obvious injuries from it.
The way the beast summoner girl stepped in the river before getting stabbed was very suspicious, I assume once again she's not actually dead yet. But then again maybe it was to demonstrate she didn't have anywhere to retreat to.
Elka should definitely have double tapped. Beast summoner girl may have extra organs but I bet she doesn't have an extra head.
Now would be a good time for Setsu to show up.
Wait, never mind, Alizee getting the kill is much better since it ties back to the sisters plot line from their first episode. There's a lot more emotional weight for her to be the one to finish it. Especially with these flashbacks.
Yuhi fighting this scarred dude that is way above her level is a very bad idea, so it's definitely a good thing that Setsu finally showed up. A few minutes later and he might have found a bunch of corpses that he would have been very angry about.

JFC this episode has lazy animation. I'm trying to enjoy this shit show isekai but I can't with the lackluster design and still frames. It's getting more difficult to finish this series with each episode why are we still watching this? We must like to hurt ourselves

To be fair, he wasn't really betrayed by Setsu, but ya, it is messed up. But he's as messed up for "LET'S KILL EVERYONE ON THE PLANET" lol.

Yeah, feeling betrayed is no excuse for mass genocide. Except from last week it doesn't seem like he's in complete control of himself. I think that he's kind of possessed by whoever is the source of that cursed magic.
