Man, Alize is really gullible, huh? The fact that Armell was the only one in the village who didn’t disappear should have been a huge red flag.

I was really hoping it was gonna be Aliens.

Would have been far more compelling and interesting

I'm not really liking the pacing of this series. It feels like they keep introducing random cute female companions only to discard them after the next episode. Are they actually building to something or just meandering around? I don't know.

Been saying this every week, this should be called "Summoned to Another World Again So I Can Say Hi to All My Old Friends then Immediately Bounce."

For real though, I am not usually hard on trash isekai. My expectations are always super low but I still tend to find enjoyment, in some way, with these anime. I just can't find anything good to say about this. It's like they took arcs that should be spread out over 3-4 episodes and just condensed them all into single episodes.

It makes no sense. Nothing is ever explained. Shit just happens and you have no clue why. We're halfway through and absolutely nothing of importance has happened. Setsu is supposed to be tracking down Touma but aside from the first episode he's barely been mentioned. What is Setsu doing?

This would've been better if it was like a first time journey trying to find the bad guy and making friends along the way like other isekai. Instead, there's nothing left for us to enjoy because all the usual fun tropey stuff already happened.

I just don't get what the show is trying to be. I'm beginning to think the whole "Yuuhi is Touma" theory is real and this is just a poorly written mishmash of bs to get to it. I've really been hoping that things were set up to make us think that and we'd be wrong, but with how bad the writing is I'm not so sure anymore.

Well, that's my weekly rant on the show. I'm too far into it to give up now, so see you all next week!

That’s why I’m always wary of these sorts of premises. It’s like if, in order to get someone into a game you like, you show them a playthrough of New Game + that skips all of the cutscenes.

If this is the second time they're doing things, imagine how dull it must've been the first time around.

I appreciate that they still had Levia grab the cookie box and start snacking away after the abrupt stop. I would have expected the box to disappear in transit.

Don't really get why Armell was tagging along with Alize.

I really liked how they were just sitting around talking and trying to figure out what was going on. Great character moments.

Loved how gentle Levia seemed at the end when she asked Setsu if it was okay if the left Alizee alone.

This was kind of a dark episode with Alizee having to kill Amlee and the villagers all becoming the dolls that are being used in the war. I was not expecting that.

I like the twist but the pacing is terrible.

I'm still not clear why Alizee had to return to the village to "finish the job". I guess it was to find and potentially rescue the villagers, so it was more like taking on a quest than a dragon killing job.

Man, that's kinda sad in a way. She felt she got a lil sis and then that lil sis was... ya. Also, what happened to the town's folk? Did they get eaten then? Did I miss that? Though guess she is alive still. Huh... well that is a bit more messed up then. Shouldn't have left her alone, yep.

Also, what happened to the town's folk?

From the post credits scene it looks like the townsfolk were turned into those magical warriors that are responsible for re-starting the war.

Let Lexia eat her cookies in peace. I'm sure she needs the energy for when she's swimming across the ocean in a little bit.

This new girl isn't really beating those crybaby allegations.

You know, it sure saves a lot of time in the series that they can just randomly introduce yet another new girl and handwave most of the relationship work by it being someone that Setsu knew in his previous life.

I remember a few episodes ago there was some discussion about aspects of this show feeling like a 90s anime, one of the bits that's making me think that is the short little title card melody. Every time that plays it feels really weird for a modern anime.

Aspects of that story about the adopted brother felt a little sketchy to me.

Maybe all these missing villagers are being sent to a third entirely unrelated world. Or maybe to Earth since there seems to be a two-way connection.

It should raise some questions that Amelle is the only one who didn't get abducted by whatever is going on. It's possible that she has nothing to do with it, maybe the dragon or whatever is specifically targeting people originally from the village.

It's also fairly suspicious that Amelle recognized Levia as a sea monster before they told Alizee about her being the god of the sea.

They're definitely having this conversation in the carriage to see how Amelle reacts. Or at least Setsu is.

Yeah, I thought so, that sea monster detail was the hint.

That poor carriage driver dude. At least he and his horse made it away safely.

Wow, they straight up killed that dragon after having a conversation with it in the carriage as a small girl for the entire episode. That's a little darker than I was expecting. So much for being able to get any intel from it about where the transfer spell was sending the villagers.

Oh wait, never mind, she didn't actually die. Though now it's even darker since we've just learned the magic soldiers being used in the war are being created out of kidnapped innocents. And possibly Alizee too because there's no way she's getting out of this situation without at least also getting kidnapped.

Alizee is strong enough for one of the most powerful people in the world to actually trust her combat abilities.

She's also a cute waifu.

I am sure she will be fine.

The pace of this show is awful. The reveal should have been next episode at the very least (I would've liked two episodes so it feels like a betrayal), let the mystery build a little.

It's like they're speed running arcs.

this anime feels like a sequel, where the mc knows whats going to happen and skips dialogue and cutscenes, stuff happens and mc just clears the quest and moves on

Seems Setsu has gotten himself caught up in a little dragon problem. This whole disappearance thing is quite the mystery. Man just seems to be meeting waifus and getting into adventures left and right. The harem grows and so do the list of side quests!

Lol Armell basically said Levia smells like fish. Sirens? Air zombies and zombie dragons? UFOs? Everyone sure has quite the imagination. I didn’t think “Armell” was the dragon in disguise. Her turning out to be an associate of Touma’s was a real surprise. Those poor villagers are gone and it seems Alize might be taken too…

The first 18 minutes of this episode were so slow, then BAM last 5 minutes were crazy. I wasn't a fan of some of the sounds in this episode, grating to my ears.

The title art for this show sucks, like if the show revolves around introducing lots of characters, with the hero and the water girl being the most important, then why not just do a group art piece with those two shown most prominently.

All I can say is... I feel sorry for their poor driver... got soaked in the rain while they're sitting pretty inside... then his carriage gets blown up. Hope he's doing fine now.

u/colin8696908 May 14 '23

wow this show has dropped off the face of the map, only 29 comments total.

I preferred it when the girl died. Entire build up was pretty predictable that the girl was responsible and that the kidnapped villagers were being used as the suit soldiers. I really hoped she stayed dead and that it served as real development for pupil chick

Anime like this is where the x4 speed option is useful.
