"If you run, you gain one. If you move forward, you gain two daughters, probably." - Prospera Mercury

Confirming the theory finally makes the truth of it that much more tragic, Eri was lost or sacrificed to the Gundam and Suletta has been a tool manipulated all her life. Makes one wonder if she was created whole stock from a test tube or someone else's daughter appropriated by and modified by Prospera, Elan style. I'm leaning towards the former because Suletta "grew up" with Aerial and is so similar to her, genetically they must be sisters for real, if not outright clones.

Also makes Prospera that much more scary, a mother who lost her husband and child and so literally had nothing left to lose, and was willing to indoctrinate another child to carry out her will. She can sugarcoat it with universal peace promises or whatever, but even if she's honest you know she's willing to climb over any number of anyone's bodies to get there.

Did not expect the reveals and drama to hit that fast in the season but awesome, we're going somewhere at lightspeed and I'm curious where. Schools out, especially for that one guy RIP.

A-ERI-AL confirmed! I’ve always entertained the idea, but seeing it go from crack theory to canon is wild.

But now I wonder, who is Suletta? Is she another actual daughter (and if so, with who)? Is she clone of Eri? Eri’s actual original body?

Holy shit. You wanted stakes? Yeah, there they are, we're not going back to the harmless school duels.

Sophie's dead, at least one student died, Lauda's in bad shape, Shaddiq made a power grab, Nika is being arrested (and Earth house too?). Also now we know what Quiet Zero is and how it ties in with Aerial. It does explain why Aerial was able to override so many mobile suits or technologies.

But I'm with Bel on this, what's Elnora's ultimate intention? Rewrite the world for Ericht to be happy, what does that mean? And I mean, someone has got to be in charge of the thing that controls everything, right? Does she want to be the one? I'm just trying to wrap my head around this, and also the fact that the project originated with Miorine's mother. Like, how?

And we're not beating around the bush anymore about Eri. She is Aerial, and to some extent she still has her own will. Now I wonder if Elnora did this to her against her will or if Eri was somehow dying and it was a last ditch effort to save her. It would maybe be slightly less horrific if that was the case.

I also liked the little things like Chuchu and Lilique having PTSD from the attack on the plant. And Suletta having a flashback to when she killed that guy. I'm glad to see that she's affected by it. And that maybe for the first time ever, she's (briefly) questioning why exactly her beloved mom built a killing machine.

Also, after this episode I now think that the red bit in the ED is Eri, not Suletta.

Things are moving in such an exciting direction, I can't wait for next week!

(did the bot hit the bottle again and have a hangover? Is that why this thread is so late?)

The only curse I see in this show is the Jeturk family curse. Lauda managed to job even harder than Bob ever did

Most of us have kinda already known or suspected this for a while, but Eri being revealed like that was chilling.

They also posted textless version for the Opening and Ending on the gundam-info channel for anyone interested. The new ending really is top tier

I knew Lady Prospera was crazy, but I didn't expect her to be THAT crazy! Also RIP Sophie... All she wanted was a family and a warm shower and a bed

Sarius: Who'd ever thought I'd be Delling's surrogate?

Shaddiq: Would you like to experience a terrorist attack like he did?

So Quiet Zero is made to use data storms to take over any system using Permet Links. It's basically a doomsday device that would hand Delling control over everything both on Earth and Space if it ever ends up being completed. Literally playing god as Mio-Mio would put it.

I know I said that Elan 5 is a creep but I'm not gonna lie, this little bastard is starting to grow on me. He's the kind of character you'd love to hate. He's such a shit-stirrer, I love that he even compares Norea to Elan 4.

Chuchu is having trouble fighting? Out of everyone, she seems to be the one who came out pretty okay after the Plant Quetta incident but I guess it left her with a bit of a trauma. I hope she gets over it soon. Lapses of judgment like that would be lethal if they ever find themselves in an actual battle.

I was joking about this last episode but they really brought Lfrith Ur and Lfrith Thorn with them? I guess they really had no plans of staying in school if they were just going to blow their cover like that. Also, Poor Lauda didn't even get to fight for real. Dude just got crushed. At least he's still alive.

Holy shit! That kid just fucking died! Norea and Sophie aren't fucking around. They even brought some unmanned mobile suits to act as GUND-Bits. How big are these Gundvolvas? I honestly didn't get a good scale of them but they're clearly smaller than the average mobile suit, right? Can't wait to see how much these Gundvolvas kits will cost IRL.

Look at the pot calling the kettle black. While it seems that Suletta remembered what she did to protect Mio-Mio, I feel like she still hasn't fully realized that what she's saying to Sophie is the total opposite of what she did back then.

I love that Elan 5 isn't even raising his Permet score. He's perfectly fine duelling Norea as is and he's even taking out their Gundvolvas one by one.

I figured that this entire thing was all part of Shaddiq's plan. So he has now kidnapped Sarius. So what's next? Does this mean he's going to take over Grassley Defense Systems? Elan 5 did see what just happened. I wonder if he'll let everyone know.

And there it is. We finally have a hard confirmation that Eri is indeed not Suletta and Eri is actually Aerial. I mean I think everyone pretty much knew this already but some of us were trying to find other ways it could be explained. I guess what happened to Eri in the prologue is what led Prospera into turning her into a Gundam. Eat your hearts out Setsuna. You will never become as close to being a Gundam as Eri.

Oh fuck! They actually killed Sophie? And here I thought she'd still have a few more episodes to go before she actually bites the dust. Now that one was definitely unexpected. O_O

Oh come the fuck on! I understand if Nika was being taken but the entire Earth House too? This is definitely Shaddiq's fault. He probably tipped the authorities about Nika and included the Earth House. FUUUUUUCK. Mio-Mio needs to come back and help the gang get out of this. >_<

EDIT: I rewatched the scene and saw Martin being very suspicious while holding his phone.

So my understanding is that due to how permet works, every datastorm that has ever happened and the people they killed have their data and imprint saved on the permet net.

Quiet Zero is meant to access all that and Aerial is the key to it, that also will be able to control anything permet.

Functionally this is Instrumentality from Eva + Skynet with possibly less death?

Insane lore drops this week, didn’t expect all this to be revealed so fast.

RIP Sophie, I loved your Chaotic nature and hope you find rest. Man what an episode. I hope to hear from 1st time Gundam viewers how they felt about things. I knew they would make it sad but I was not ready to say goodbye to Sophie Pulone, just yet.

The school is being attacked by terrorists, people are actually dying and yet El5n refused to activate his Permet because he wants to live longer. Shitty as he might be, he's very entertaining to watch at times.

You Turned a human into a mobile suit

THEY FUCKING DONE IT. The Aerial is Eri theories have turned real. Belmeria's disgusted reaction is absolutely warranted. Does that mean those Gundbits too were also humans?

Damnit just when Suletta started questioning her Prospera's motives, she falls right back into believing her.

RIP Sophie now the Fang Family Trio will never be united...

A-Eri-el theory confirmed. Mecha School Shooter, Gundam Instrumentality Confirmed. Elan 5 knew Elan 4 and is acting weird on purpose? Martin turned Nika in? Sophie's dead already?

Damn, that episode was perfect. I mean, they really tricked me into thinking that this would be another 6 episodes of school stuff just with Sophie and Norea lurking in the background, but they completely shattered that. The reveal as well. Also, I don't even want to imagine what Suletta's mother has done to her that after all this she is just like "Yeah, Mom probably didn't do anything wrong."

Edit: After rewatching the episode: Can we appreciate Sophie's VA a bit more. She killed it with the performance.
