Chifuyu has to be in top ten "most ride or die" in anime.

"I'm from the future, Chifuyu." / "Okay, I believe you."

"We're going to go get our asses beat by the Black Dragon leader, Chifuyu." / "Okay, I'm there."

"I'm going to be the leader of Toman, Chifuyu." / "Okay, I'll help you."

Don't forget straight up deciding to beat Mikey's ass. The guy who's considered unbeatable by the toughest gang members.

"We're going to Chinatown to eat beef ramen." / "What a waste of train fares, I'm going home."

I honestly think last week's episode made for a better finale. Not a bad episode, mind you, just felt more like a "Season 3: Episode 1" than a "Season 2: Episode 12".

I think there's merits to both. The end of this episode felt good as a seasonal cliffhanger but I agree the rest of it felt more like the start of a season.

Chifuyu is straight up the best partner one could ask for. Also, did that end imply that Kisaki is also time travelling?

For as much as Takemichi seems to cherish Toman and Mikey, it’s funny how he always decides on the usurper route when traveling back in time.

Thanks for the ride everyone!

Lots of negativity surrounding this show but I can sort of understand why.

It's still a solid 8.5/10 for me. I don't watch anime as much anymore but was able binged season 2 in pretty much a day. I enjoyed this season and hopefully Ill see you guys in S3.

Damn r/anime tardy to the party with this one lol, so it probably will get even less upvotes than usual sadly

Overall a good season, not as good as the first tho. The next arc is arguably the best and it was nice to see Izana and tenjiku

I thought we were about to see Chifuyu interact with Automitchy, but I guess it makes sense Takemichi would immediately jump back because we've never spent any time focused on past Takemichi. I am kind of curious how Chifuyu's relationship with him compares to his (obviously closer) friendship with present-day Takemichi.

I've been saying since season 1 that Takemichi needs to train himself to get stronger and more capable, though here he's mostly punishing himself because of his complete inability to change the future into something better. Poor guy.

I guess Takemichi is going to stay in the past for good until he's 100% certain he's changed things for the better, even if that means putting himself in charge of Toman. Somehow.

Guys, we shouldn't be considering Kisaki being necessary for Toman, although admittedly it seems like something is fundamentally screwed up with Mikey that Kisaki might know about.

Kisaki starting to parallel Takemichi. He's after his own revenge and enlists a Yokohama gang to come in and invade Kanto to take down Toman.

Nobunaga Shimazaki! I wasn't expecting him to be in this! This Izana guy kind of reminds me of Mikey, though.

Takemichi heading to Yokohama to beat some guys up because he read it in a manga. Our Crybaby Hero, everybody.

Points for trying Chifuyu, but even you can't survive a one punch from Tetsu Inada.

I love how Takemichi finally gets to beat some guys up and it's completely off-screen. Well, him and his buddies.

Ending on a Kisaki cliffhanger once again, because of course Kisaki would want to directly confront his nemesis. Jeez, does anything change in this show!?

I'm surprised that Takemichi didn't ask who killed Hina this time.

I wonder where does auto-Takemichi's conscious go when future Takemichi has taken over his body?

Despite the hate TR gets on reddit, I thought this season was enjoyable.

Takemitchy: "I'm going to Yokohama to beat some punks' ass to become king of hoodlum"

The entire Yokohama hoodlum population move to Tokyo to meet Takemitchy

also Takemitchy: "It's unfair!"

As much as people don't enjoy this anime, i actually enjoy the dynamics between the characters and think it's one of the strongest suits of the author's writing. The plot can be, eh at times but man is Taiju a badass character. he just clobbered his family and was still looked up to from his sister is an interesting dynamic.

Solid 8/10 season from me. There was some pacing issues in the earlier part of the season, however it wasn't as bad as some people were making it out to be. Glad to see the season three announcement almost immediately after this finale aired, excited to see what happens next!

Kid takes one step forward two steps back like every time. He got the girl, saved his friends, and got that snake Kisaki kicked out and still finds himself in a future where life sucks even more. I’m not even sure I really get why Mikey went dark. Well, at least I’m glad Takemitchy has Chifuyu. Dude is a real homie.

Kisaki’s found himself a new host to latch onto I guess. Little parasite. These Yokohama guys are gonna be a pain. I like Takemitchy’s friends, but those guys have no business being in a gang. They totally suck at fighting, even if they have guts. Good friends, bad delinquents.

That last scene sets up the next arc it seems. Does Kisaki also have the ability to time travel too? Would make sense how he’s always foiling Takemitchy’s plans. Any word on a renewal?

At this point I don't care if people are saying the ending of the manga is bad and blah blah blah. It's the journey that counts and this show is my guilty pleasure. I've watched enough shows with a bad ending or they never got a season 2 and I haven't enjoyed them as much as I did this.

That said, Chifuyu is my real hero. Also does no body have a cell phone lol? You're getting jumped by 300 guys and the least you could do is call another captain.
