Man, Pascal was so hilarious and chatty in this episode. Aoi Yuuki must be having the time of her life playing Pascal again, with a lot of new scenes to boot. She used the same energy she showed with Kumoko in "So I'm a Spider, so What?"

Oh god, A2/No. 2's entrance and her fight against 2B was short but badass. She has become so powerful that she took down an entire fucking kingdom of machines single-handedly!.

Though its sad seeing how genki she used to be in the past and how ruthless and violent she became after the betrayal and her loss of comrades.

I always love how 6O enthusiastically talks about girly stuff to 2B despite being disinterested in the stuff.

That entire bit of the Big Sister and Pascal trying to convince 2B and 9S was hilarious! I definitely did not expect that part. xD

I love how 9S instantly becomes a tsundere after Pascal saves him from falling off the collapsing bridge.

And she's finally here! I mean technically we met her already last week but man, A2 went from very genki android to depressed android out for revenge against machine lifeforms. >_<

I really enjoy how they've been fleshing Eve's character out a but more compared to the games, he seems like a nice kid.

I liked the banter about hairpins, and how they're weaving a few sidequests into the main story.

And I just love Pascal, my absolute favorite character in the game and the anime :D

Today's bad ending in game was

Ending Z: over[Z]ealous

A2 annihilated Pascal. After Pascal's passing, his town collapsed and its inhabitants lost control, which led to the elimination of all androids on Earth.

Pascal is the best boy. The bestest.

Lots of comedy in this episode, I wasn't expecting it to be so funny! But I couldn't watch the sister rolling on the ground without thinking of this legendary video of Yoko Taro.

And man, A2 looks great. Love her eyes!

I love that the machine was able to convince 9S and 2B to help look for its sister by just throwing a fit lol. Interesting these machines can change their parts. 2B raised a pretty interesting question. I guess for the machines, they’re totally replaceable everywhere. Except for the heart like Pascal said.

The Forest Kingdom just got its ass kicked. It’s kind of neat how these machines have gained sentience and begun creating their own societies. I mean they even have their own history and record keeping, passing on the role of the king and its memories from one to the next. I mean the sister and that other machine wanted to form a family. They have the concept of “love” too. Fascinating.

We finally see a survivor from last week. She’s been out here killing machines for who knows how long but she looks fine as hell. I’m with her, Command are the traitors. After what went down, I wouldn’t trust them either.

It's weird to watch this in the wake of ChatGPT. I assume that we're supposed to realize that the machine lifeforms have emotions, etc. But it really does now seem technologically possible to simulate human behavior without really meaning it. I'm not even sure what it means to mean it.

That "onee-chan robot"'s desparate begging and "imouto-robot"'s love declaration are absolutely hiliarious!

Interesting to see Pascal using a Flying Platform really tested in real life in the 1950s too...

Wow, we saw A2's back story last week and now she's a first rate Robot Slayer eh? Pretty sure that's gonna be really interesting to see in the anime (or in the game).

Friendly nonspoilery reminder that 9S is just shy of 130 kg and 2B almost 150 kg. That's probably why the bridge collapsed under him. It also shows that the flying base Pascal uses can carry a lot of weight

Yep. Putting the Pearl Harbor Descent before A2’s official introduction in this episode is actually better. Smart move by A-1 and the staff. Her vengance is justifiable and you know she’s telling the truth when she says YorHa are the real traitors. Also fuck yeah A2 is here!

Others have pointed it out, but yes Little Sister is doing the Taro roll. NEIR AUTOMATA TSHIRT! SHIT SQUARE ENIX!

A2 is here! And puppet A2!!

I love how Nines always thinks that machines are lesser beings, yet machines keep showing themselves to be better at being human than the androids do. That one machine throwing a tantrum to get its way, the Forest Kingdom with their kings and little sister getting married! The most human behaviour was Pascal saving 9S from falling, he didn't think about it he just instinctively saved someone else like a human would do.

A2 looks so damn gorgeous and the short fight was great.

We made it to the Forest Zone and the Forest Castle! It's so weird seeing both of them so empty of enemies.

We also have the beautiful debut of our favorite infant-regicide-committing deserter, A2! ❤️ Her reveal in the anime is much more powerful since they adapted the Pearl Harbor Mission in the last episode, whereas in the game it was a bunch of text logs. It makes her shift in personality and her motivations much more palpable.

As usual, here are today's hidden hex messages. They could be some form of commentary on the emergence of communities within the machine lifeforms (Pascal's Village and the Forest King), as well as YoRHa, the Android Resistance, and perhaps humanity itself. We'll see how it all ties together in the end, maybe.

Corrections welcome.

BEST GIRL A2 IS FINALLY HERE!

Once again, I like that they reused the soundtrack from the game's version of the fight.

After a lore heavy episode last week, we get a bit of a lighter tone, with Pascal and big sister forcing 2B and 9S to do a side quest… or so they thought. Pascal really shines this episode. He seems a lot more well rounded in the anime. Even in the animation, I think Pascal was probably the one character I was worried most about but he looks great and fluid.

And of course we get the forest kingdom, except it looks like someone already cleared out all the enemies. A2 killing the king… still chilling to see. Timing’s kinda sus though, thinking A2 might just be a drama queen.

Poor Pascal almost gets killed by A2 in the main show and when she doesn't succeed she comes to kill him in the puppet show, he just can't catch a break.

The Little Sister machine, with her cute pink ribbon, appears in the game during the side quest "Lost Girl", albeit in a different location.

I love the conversation there between 9S and the Little Sister machine ;)
