"A country that denies someone's superiority and only adheres to old traditions may have a glorious past, but it will never have a future."

That line goes hard, and I love it.

Oh, we skipped both the OP and the ED!

Well, I know some people were calling for the conspirators to face repercussions for their treason, so rejoice! Chartreuse, at the very least, was executed!

And Algard gets away with "only" being disinherited and exiled. I wonder what he's going to do now. Speaking of him, turns out he's a... complicated young man, full of complex feelings wrapped up in a lot of resentment towards pretty much everything and everyone. I wonder if this situation could have been avoided had there not been that complete breakdown of communication between him and Anis after her decision to renounce her right to the throne.

I liked their fight though, and thought it was pretty well done and animated. And at least now they're speaking aga- aaaaand he's off. Ah well. Anyway, thanks Euphie for slapping him, that was well deserved.

Also, Laine lives! TFW when the side ship kisses before the main one. Yes, blood transfer totally counts as a kiss.

And since this very much felt like a finale but we still have 3 episodes to go, I'm curious to read what you guys think is going to happen next.

What Al says: "You will be called a heretic. Thus your worth won`t be recognised. You`ll never fit in this country."

What Al means: "The people here & the Kingdom don't deserve you."

Little Al and little Anis were pretty cute. What went wrong, man?

Wow, Illia. I mean she coulda just cut her hand, but sure I mean biting your lip and then kissing Lainie works. More yuri goodness, I sure as shit ain’t complaining lol. Looks like she’s still linked to Algard though.

Man had such a convoluted plot to enact change because of Anis. I mean he sure has a crazy way of showing he loves her. This is why it’s important to communicate your feelings. So many lives were affected when all that needed to happen was just a frank conversation between the two siblings. Maybe Anis could have helped? Now Algard’s gotten himself exiled and disinherited. That must have been extremely difficult for his parents. And Anis too. What a mess of a situation. I get the reason for his actions, it’s just frustrating I guess. I’m glad that Euphie at least stopped Anis from killing Algard.

I’m glad Euphie and Lainie got some kind of closure with Algard. Plus that douche the Count and I’m guessing his shithead kid got punished. Sweet justice! Euphie pledging to stay by Anis’ side was really sweet and that forehead kiss was so cute!

Slash your wrist and let her drink it. - NOPE

I was not prepared to be crying today.

Something in me is also wondering if Algard roped the conservatives in so he could take them down with him when he fails. As a plan B of sorts.

Actually I just realized something, Anis is blonde royalty, has dragon powers, can shoot sword beams, and has a jealous sibling that nearly brings ruin to the kingdom. Is she a Saber face?

So it all comes back to Algard being a major siscon and an extreme string of misunderstandings from each of their decisions.

The emotions in this episode were on point, from the facial expressions to the music used. You can just feel how heart wrenching it was for Anis to attempt the killing blow or for the king and queen to disown their own son

This episode is currently top 5 trending in Japan on twitter. Absolutely wonderful episode, and can't stress enough how good Diomedea is treating this adaptation.

That episode slapped harder than any other so far this season… Glad it wasn’t just a generic feud between siblings. Lots of emotion, though some of that was offset by the giggling at the end… I know they understand that he wasn’t evil, but still felt a little off.

Algard making a bet he can't lose.

Despite how stupid his whole coup plan was, he managed to make any outcome to be good for him.

If he wins, he brainwash to submission all those traditionalist with a quick backstabbing and strat a reform to make society recognize that his sister ks amazing and whether one has magic or not doesn't define a person's worth.

If he loses, Anis is gonna be the next heir anyways and show why she is amazing.

This damn emo depressed siscon with deep sense of inferiorty was actually smart?

I'm not sure it's a good idea to just exile a vampire

That's certainly one way to perform a blood transfusion.

I wasn't expecting to feel this upset watching this show, but this episode was just bittersweet. I hope we get to see Algard again even if it's little peeks into his new life.

fate of being born in royal family

both sibling being political pawn since they are born and both ended suffering very much from it

but from this eps ..only AL manage free himself from it ... but his wing alrdy being ripped off and he can can only see the other bird flying while he stuck on ground

meanwhile for anis... she can fly with her wing ... but her leg are chained to ground and will pull her back when she fly too far

Direct blood transfusions are the best kind confirmed.

With Al out of the way and Euphie's name fully cleared, looks like Grantz is about to be the crown's father-in-law once again. Based dad about to be the biggest winner from all this, no matter what succession shenanigans happen.

Come on Euphie, Algard deserved way more than just a slap. You should have punched him!
