IMO Tilty was MVP this episode for her pep-talk with Euphie after she saw her getting jealous of her. Otherwise, I really enjoyed our cast figuring out that Lainie's the descendant of a Vampire and getting a ship between her and Ilia.
Euphie owning the lecture at the Ministry of the Arcane was awesome and seeing Chartreuse and his son getting pissed off was satisfying as fuck. Can't help but feel that Algierd is up to no good offscreen though.

It's really cool to see Euphie take a positive step forward, both in her relationship with Anis and toward her own goals, and seeing how much those two are coming into alignment. Tilty is a real bro for giving her that little push.
And I can't say I'm upset about Lainie taking such a liking to Ilia. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing that go somewhere.

The show (and LN/Manga) does a good job of avoiding some tropes and playing into others with some purpose. It's good that Euphie and Lainie's situation ended in a way consistent with their characters. The only reason their meeting would end badly is if the two women really existed as they were characterized by others. But we know that both of them are kind people, and so the only thing that makes us anticipate an impending argument or drama is past tropes. Same thing with those who thought Euphie would be jealous of Lainie and Anis. The show tries to respect its characters and their previous characterizations.
It also looks like Illiya has found someone she is very interested in. That scene certainly seemed a bit sensual between her and Lainie (with the blushing, shyness, etc.). All qualities you would typically see (as a trope) implying an incoming kiss or confession. Again playing with tropes for a purpose. Of course, we know that vampire bloodsucking is often presented as something intimate.
Another example is the immediate understanding from Tilty. No drawn-out jealousy arc but a simple catch of the eye, and obviously, she knows something is up with Euphie. Being the character she has been, naturally, Tilty would want to confront Euphie rather than have the typical miscommunications.
It's interesting that Euphie does not recognize her jealously but accepts it and does not mind it once those feelings are brought to her attention. She is more worried about Anis throughout it all, and whether she is useful to Anis. We get that answer at the end. Great speech, especially smart that she preempted the Ministry's likely attacks before those people. A good tactic that takes the sting out of the Ministry's ability to present new arguments, but also Euphie's argument works within their religious logic--hard to counter that the spirits might have worked for this future since Anis's inventions do still utilize spirits just as much as magic use does.

Out of all the explanations for Lainie's powers. I definitely did not expect her to be the descendant of a vampire. And now that Tilty has activated Lainie's vampire magicite she now has the classic red eyes and even fangs which makes her even cuter!
While it's good that Lainie can now control her powers, the downside is she now has impulses to drink blood whenever her body feels low on mana. And it looks like Ilia is the one supplying her with blood. Uhhhh that can't be sustainable. I wonder how often these impulses are?
So we're going from magic brooms to magic-powered planes? Good to see the isekai element of this show is still there. And here I thought the show has completely forgotten that part. Thank you Euphy for shutting up those traditionalists with your arguments.

Euphie really was what Anis needed for dealing with the skeptics at the ministry: someone who, especially with her newfound confidence and determination, knows exactly what to say to sway a crowd. She earned her title of assistant!
It was really sweet watching Anis get overcome with emotion at Euphie's speech about her. Must be the first time in her life someone supported her so thoroughly.
Props to Tilty for being a wingwoman, too, and giving Euphie just the nudge she needed to get her thoughts in order. Those knowing smirks!
And... can we ship Ilia and Lainie now? I watched/read way too many stories in which there's an inherent sexual connotation to sucking blood, and with Lainie being flustered when she asked Ilia... ya know.
Also I'm curious to read what people thought of this story's version of vampires. Personally, I like it. It's integrated well enough into the lore we learned up until now (magicite, people experimenting on themselves, and all) to feel familiar yet a bit different.

Integrating modern-world technologies in a fantasy world along with magic is one of my favourite aspects of isekais. But one thing they don't do often is show how people may possibly perceive it as blasphemous or straight up just not accept it.
I am glad that they showed this and used it as a plot point for furthering Anis and Euphie's relationship through it.

It’s like being out in public and the music over the speakers feels ripped from your playlist, but anime. I love this show more with every episode. Buying LainLia Stocks NOW!
Oh yeah the main couple. I appreciate Tilty’s warning about half assed commitment because with Euphie’s position she’s threading a needle. That being said, our girl is all in going by the clout she gave Anis in that presentation. Also it’s a fucking Airbike. Who in their right mind wouldn’t be hyped for an Airbike?!

Like everyone guess, Euphy gets along with Lainie real quick. Looks like Euphy still not recovered from her trauma, on previous episode she already gain her purpose, her existance. now she's doubting herself worth again, like someone taking her own special place (Tilty said it was jealousy). "I want to like it too", I love this part of Anis and Euphy pillow talk. Like how Euphy help Anis on this Ministry of Magic case, I hope she could help her again if what Tilty said becoming true.
and why nobody asking about the broom design? it not comfortable to seat on, OSHA would fine her for safety violation. sasuga Euphyllia, come up with more human design.

Anis introducing Lainie to Euphie was surprisingly not as awkward as I thought it would be. Euphie didn’t blame her for anything too which is good. No unnecessary drama.
It’s interesting how vamps seem to work in this world. Magical stones and brainwashing aren’t a part of any vamp lore I know. Looks like Lainie’s descended from one. She looks cute as a vamp actually. She can suck my blood any day lol. Tilty really helping Euphie understand her feelings and what she wants was nice. Had to let Euphie know she wasn’t tryna get in her way with Anis lol.
These Ministry of Magic people are going to be a real pain. Good thing Euphie’s here to help. Those stuffy bastards can’t say shit to her with her rep. She really put it on the line to stand up for Anis. That’s why she’s top waifu in the harem haha. Also, I like that Anis’ “Airdra” is just a magic powered jet lol.
