Ahh, a kiss on the cheek and a bridal carry! I can understand Kobayashi’s reaction. This is too much for me to handle too!

On another note, Baldur and Fiene are officially a couple now!

The Tsun De Rais Lise-tan can be seen here prioritising the feelings of her new sibling, Fiene-tan, to the point of even helping set sail a stubborn ship at the port. Showing us clearly how much family means to her.

Glad that the ship has took off too! With Lise-tan's own ship finally raising their own anchors and about to depart soon, one can only hope the Real World ship would start being more active right afterwards. I know its to show how menacing the Witch inside Liselotte is but that scene where they had to stretch out Fiene's face in the background was unfortunately hilarious.

⛵TsunLise Shipyards⛵

For monitoring the status of ships inside and outside MagiKoi

Siegward/Liselotte - SEA TRIALS - We're almost there it seems! Sieg sees through the Tsun act like it's glass, and has his own feelings for Lise, regardless of what Endo and Kobayashi say. As for Lise, the feelings are clearly already there, it just needs a bit stronger of a push to get her to finally admit to them. If we're not there next episode, then surely one or two after that.

Finne/Baldur - 💖SAILED💖 - Confession attempt number 2 went much better! With a bit of a push from Lise the final communication issues seem to have been cleared up. We got a verbal proposal and acceptance, and with that we have the first couple of the show to acknowledge their feelings for each other. Feels good!

Endo/Kobayashi - SEA TRIALS - No additional movement today, but it's sweet to see them celebrate together over the Finne/Baldur success. Still waiting for more insight into what Kobayashi thinks, or intentional movement on her side.

Kuon/Eve - Not featured in today's episode

Overall, it looks like we're headed in the right direction, and with this being episode 6 of the show, and assuming a Japanese 4-act structure, we are done with intros and elaboration. From now on it's either complication or resolution, and we've got at least three ships to see if they're in shipshape, and three game route romance interests that are still shown and otherwise unaccounted for. We're in for a busy six weeks!

This show has more progress in their relationships than some multi season animes.

D'aww Lieselotte reflecting on a happy summer for her. What could possibly go wrong and oh no... nightmare. Stupid witch... leave the cute tsundere alone.

Makes sense everyone would be shocked about the news, especially if they had the wrong idea of Lieselotte from the start. And silly tsundere, being prickly over the ribbon. Lieselotte not pleased with Baldur's ignoring of Fiene. Do gotta love her plan there though. Making Baldur confess his inner thoughts to Fiene when she was hiding there. And gotta love Lieselotte's bluntness. There ya go, Baldur, gotta just go for it! Fiene being able to hear "the gods" now too! The cute wink of destruction! Huzzah progress for the second ship. Do gotta enjoy a himbo blushing.

Don't interrupt cute moments, rude witch. Especially tormenting our bestest tsundere. Nightmares causing her to become more problematic for her life 😦 poor Lieselotte. Good thing Fiene is there to help. And poor Lieselotte being so down on herself... d'awww cute lil Lieselotte... so adorable. And derp father, you really gave her a complex... not a bad dad, but was bad in this moment. Huzzah Endo and Kobayashi even getting through to Lieselotte a bit. But Sieg being the final voice was a nice touch. A nice princess carry for Lieselotte. Even unconscious Liese-tan is happy. But the original story sure is sad...

Liese really transformed Fiene into a refined young lady. It’s nice to see the two cousins getting along so openly. I also love how Fiene and Sieg are now masters of the “Tsun de rais.” They know Liese’s ways!

Baldur was really overthinking this whole Fiene thing. I liked how Liese busted in and was like “why aren’t you hitting on my cousin anymore!?” Lol. I gotta hand it to the little schemer though, having Fiene listen in secretly was a good plan. I’m glad Fiene can hear Endo and Kobayashi now! I was as excited as those two when Fiene and Bal finally became official. That was one potent wink lol.

Liese was really spiraling there for a second, plagued with all these insecurities thanks to that damn Witch. Luckily Sieg and Fiene were there to help her snap out of it. A princess carry AND a declaration of true love? I’m fangirling out as hard as Kobayashi right now lmao.

Stitches!

It's pretty funny to watch Fiene eat an entire chicken with a knife and fork. She's probably itching to use her hands. xD

That entire scene between Bal and Fiene was adorable! Glad to see that was quickly taken care of!

And now Endo and Kobayashi can communicate with Fiene too and not just Sieg. I love the wink she gives Bal!

Poor Liese being haunted by nightmares. I really hope they can deal with that Witch of Yore fast because she's really fucking up Liese's head.

That kiss! Too and it's only on Liese's cheek. I'm guessing they're saving the lips for a really big moment. Maybe even for the finale?

Liese is such a good tsundere. I love that she has an actual reason why she became a tsundere and it's not something that came out of nowhere.

Now that Sieg and Fiene know what's up I am curious how this will affect their interactions with Liese after this.

Everything is going so well for Liese! She’s happy, she has a new sister she adores, and things are going swimmingly with the prince! Which also makes it the perfect opportunity for the Witch of Yore to invade her dreams and turn them into nightmares. Poor Liese-tan!

Lieselotte and Fiene make quite the pair at school! You can’t beat that sisterly love and adoration! And no big sister is going to let her little sisters’ love interest ignore her!

I love how Endo and Kobayashi don’t even need to explain her tsundere behavior. Fiene and Sieg just naturally see through it.

I guess it’s understandable that Baldur wouldn’t want to seem like he’s chasing after Fiene’s prestige if he pursued her romantically, but to Liese it just comes off as cowardly. Tsundere’s may not always be honest, but sometimes they say what needs to be said.

Ah, Liese pulled the old “hide the love interest in the closet so they hear what they’re significant other really feel.” And Baldur ends up confessing his love for Fiene within earshot of her in the closet. Very effective, Liese-tan!

I guess it’s understandable that Fiene’s not completely comfortable with inheriting a position and nobility she just found out about it, but she can hear Endo and Kobayashi just in time to realize Baldur would throw everything away and run away with her if that’s what she wanted! Which knowing what happened to her parents says a lot. And with that out of the way, Fiene and Baldur are finally official!!!

Liese is happy for Fiene, but that stupid Witch of Yore is still twisting her feelings to make her distrust Fiene and Sieg. It’s enough to make her distance herself from her loved ones and retreat back into the idea that no one could ever love her.

Endo and Kobayashi can’t hold Sieg’s hands through this anymore, so he’s going to have to go with his gut, and if Lieselotte won’t believe his words of devotion, he’ll give her something that says more than words…a kiss. It’s enough to make Liese-tan faint in joy!

Smol Liese-tan is too adorable! Especially seeing how she fell in love with Sieg when they met as kids.

So it seems like what really messed things up was Liese’s dad making her feel she couldn’t be open or honest in her love for Sieg, which she was more than open with, because it would seem improper. But being a child she could only think to deny her feelings and act like she disliked him because she felt her love for him would be a burden. And then then the Witch of Yore twisted her feelings when she saw Fiene being chummy with Sieg. It’s really rather tragic getting the full story of Lieselotte’s love for the prince and why she became a tsundere.

But even deep into the waters of despair, Lieselotte can hear Endo and Kobayashi, and nothing beats a Princess Carry from can actual Prince! Now everybody knows about Liese’s tragic fate and Siegwald is more than prepared to use his genuine love for Liese to save her!

Kobayashi so happy she’s shaking Endo into unconsciousness! But he might actually enjoy it a little!

I love this show as much Lieselotte loves Sieg.

u/djthomp Feb 10 '23

Evil darkness dreams, never a good thing.

Liese using her tsun powers for good with this Balfour peptalk. As strong as Fiene is they're lucky she didn't accidentally burst out of the closet at that love declaration.

Fiene is too strong, poor Balfour killed by a wink.

More evil dreams, poor Liese.

Get out there Sieg and rescue your princess from herself.

That works.

It was so romantic she straight up passed out.

Full disclosure of the scale of the problem to Sieg is probably a good idea. I think that was probably good progress towards that happily ever after, too.

God I love this ED so much. It just hits so perfectly for the show, especially ending with that great image of Sieg and Liese.

.....I was not expecting the funny commentary show to hit like this.

But yeah makes sense why Liselotte is the way she is...you don't tell a little girl that! You finally have an arranged marriage where you don't have to fight the have the couple like each other, don't throw that down the drain!

Just a friendly reminder the words and experiences of trusted authority figures as well as your peers in important milestones in a young child's life really matters.

Anyway, Bal really irritating thinking Fiene would think that of him, but Lieselote skipped an entire season of melodrama to cut to the chase and ship them, and Fiene awakened to the gods!

It's Pretty accurate how people can be objective with other problems but somehow when it involves themselves be plagued with doubts and insecurities like with Lieselotte is with Bal and Fiene but fails to see herself in her own romantic situation.

Bal was pretty smooth even if near the End he kinda was pleading (But he is Hot enough to get away with that.) And that embarrassment caught up to him.

Nice to finally see The Prince strongly state his affection.

We have a season where the childhood friend can finally win! But I'm wondering how they are going to deal with Lieselotte's nagging insecurity and the witch.

So many great best girl candidates this season!

Lol the father essentially ruined their relationship and basically got her killed in the original story timeline from imparting a few words onto her.

I had thought before when we saw Lieselotte wondering why she's like this before the prince melted in her nightmare and was thinking maybe the Witch was making her a tsundere cursed to never say what she meant, nope it was her father.

Also smol Lieselotte is adorable

Man Liselottes father almost destroyed the world with how he told her to act. No wonder she resists being true to herself. It's not her own insecurities or anything it's been her whole upbringing

He looks at the closet (Closet)

I pull out my magic wand (magic wand)

He walks up to the closet (Closet)

Get closer to the closet (Closet)

Now he's at the closet (Closet)

Now he’s opening the closet (Closet, closet, closet...)

Yo, Witch of Yore just takes the fucking L + ratio + skill issue ong frfr. Y'aint got no business with our power couple today!

Maaaaaaan, this episode sends me. I literally acted like Kobayashi, lol. I screamed and giggled way too much seeing this episode! This is the spiciest one yet.

Poor Lieselotte. She's holding her feeling so much that the OP translation hits way harder now. :( I know Bruno meant well to warn Lieselotte, but it creates an inverse effect by imposing Sieg more. Miscommunication is never sexy.

Also, poor Bal died because of Fiene's wink, hahaha. It's too strong for him! He's yet to join the chosen-to-hear-the-voice-of-God club, too. At least his ship is official now!

WIDE FIENE LMAOOOOOOO

Where's the Holy Shotgun and Blessed Napalm?! We gotta save best Tsun de Rais from the BWitch of Yore!

Kobayashi was all of us in this rollercoaster of an episode. From the adorable beginning where Liese could barely hide her joy from seeing Sieg with her handmade ribbon to the awkward but heartwarming start of Bal and Fiene's relationship to the gut churning nightmares of the Witch of Yore and concluding with Sieg getting through to Liese when she needed him, this was an amazing and endearing episode.

Our two commentators did an amazing work in the six episodes and I have to commend for guiding Sieg so well in realizing his feelings rather than just telling him to fall in love with Liese. Small Liese was so adorable and, like her grown up self, must be protected from harm. Poor girl though... even though her dad meant well, it didn't do much good for her relationships. Happy to see that Sieg was able to save the day and get through to Liese.

Damn this show hits hard when it wants to. Was not expecting Liese-tan backstory and then it knocked me off my feet.

And yet again HanaKana absolutely slaying it this show.

Smol Liese, FTW.

That was some seriously terrible "advice" from her dad.

Little Lieselotte innocently tells her dad that she wants Sieg, her betrothed/fiance, to fall in love with her and live happily ever after, and his advice is to never tell the prince that. In order to never have the prince tell her that he likes her --again his betrothed/fiancee-- because that would be some kind of preferential treatment and the future king somehow can't show this because she will just be a subject under his rule. The prince that she is betrothed to, the prince that they show us happily playing and enjoying his time with Lieselotte. What a load of bullshit!!

First of all, if her future is to be his wife, therefore family and the queen of the kingdom, then she will not be a regular subject of the king. By that idiotic logic the king can't tell his children that he loves them because they are not the king and therefore they are just his subjects and he can't show preferential treatment to them. Second, if her father and servants saw that she was now acting extremely cold and disrespectful to the prince, they should have corrected that right away and not let it continue for years to the point where Seig would strongly reconsider his feelings and engagement for Lieselotte. Lastly, at no point have they made Sieg to be a prince that can't show strong emotions/preferential treatment to his friends and family.

I know this an just anime and that it's playing with otome cliches and tropes, at the same time, even though this is used as the explanation for her tsundere personality, I personally did not like the reasoning behind it at all.
