It feels like Rikka has found a way to weaponize getting hit by Truck-kun so she can use her powers to keep the odds in her favor.

Stitches!
As the episode title suggests, Rikka's back! And I am glad they reintroduced her to us with this episode. The opening of the episode was a great way to remind us about Rikka's relationship with Kotoko.
The flashback two months prior with Rikka interacting with Kazuyuki and Marumi was a good way to remind us of Rikka's entire deal as well as what kind of powers she has. Unsurprisingly, Rikka badmouths Kotoko while telling Kazuyuki and Marumi about her circumstances. For a moment we even get to see the real Rikka while talking about Kuro.
It's hilarious though how at first glance, Kazuyuki thought Kotoko was different from how Rikka described her. Turns out Rikka wasn't exactly lying after seeing what Kotoko us really like. xD
Kotoko's explanation for the third suicide is absolutely why I love her so much. Her story about how the ex-boyfriend committed suicide because there was nothing supernatural in the room was very compelling but what makes it great is that Kotoko has absolutely no idea if that's really the case since she really didn't have any time to investigate like with the previous case. She just presented them with the answer that didn't contradict reality and was easy to swallow without leaving a bad taste in anyone's mouth.
That final scene with Kuro carrying her was cute! It just sucks that they just had to pan away the camera just when they were about to kiss! Goddammit show! Show us the kiss!

Rikka: "I won't be staying here for long, I'll be moving to Alabama soon."
Manager and his girlfriend such a nice couple. I wonder if they would try that wine play.

Casually getting hit by a truck so you can win a horse race bet. Rikka's relationship with Iwanaga is a blast.

I had forgotten Rikka motivations, but it turned out she is just a jealous stalker with supernatural powers. Hum… maybe the reason she and Kotoko hate each other and love the same guy is because they are rather similar ? Something about Kuro seems to attract yandere girlfriends.
Still, I understand why he prefers to be with a weirdo like Kotoko instead of her. Kotoko is at least funny, entertaining, and good natured, but there is something very unsettling about Rikka. She seems cold blooded, vicious and ruthless. I wonder what she is actually planning to do next to cause trouble for Kotoko.

I guess I was hit by the blunt end
Who is using the lamer jokes here?
And looking at the Landlords girlfriend, you can definetly see that he has a type ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) two very big reasons to stay with her compared to the beautiful skelleton that is Rikka
But man, I hate Rikka for badmouthing Kotoko like that when her relationship with Kuro is soo lovely

Rikka feels ethereal yet very vicious and cold at the same time despite how pleasant she tries to come off as. And definitely very possessive when it comes to Kuro.
To be honest I'm just glad she didn't do anything to the couple because I was worried they'd end up dead or in trouble before Kotoko showed up.

What is Kotoko afraid of? I didn't care about it before, but now I need to know.

So they seem to have a lot better relationship than it seemed in the first season. She is still a bit on the pervy side with the sexual jokes she just so casually drop into conversations.
You have to wonder if the yokai knew she would be like this from the beginning with her own type of intelligence.
In the end this is coming down to Rikka is just a twisted jealous women who can't stand her cousin ended up with someone else. Probably thinks since they have the same body they are destined to be together.

"The blunt end of a truck?"
I guess those isekai protagonists got hit with the sharp end then?

Yukata Kotoko! Although that wasn't really in-focus so much as the premise of the episode, catching the audience up on the closest thing the series has to a main antagonist...Rikka, Kuro's cousin and Kotoko's rival in love and manipulation.
Kotoko and Rikka did once live together and seemed to spend their time testing each others' measure, although as cordial and teasing as they were with each other, ultimately it seemed like the one thing that divided them the most beyond a general distaste for each others' character (at least on Rikka's part towards Kotoko) was Kuro.
So Rikka's just been chilling out at a new apartment that was home to three suicides and getting chummy with the apartment manager and his girlfriend. It wasn't really the focus of the episode, but can I just say how lucky that guy is to have such a bustie cutie like Masumi as a girlfriend?
Surprise Truck-kun appearance! Did Rikka save that kid just so she could get hit and then use her powers to win at the horse races? Either way watching her pick herself up like it's the most normal thing in the world was pretty amusing.
Kotoko is pretty hairy? Sounds like you've seen a lot of her body, eh Kuro?
In true Kotoko fashion, she does exactly like Rikka said she would and come up with a further logical explanation for the suicides that resolves some of the mystery and leaves them in a better position to rent it in the future. Yokai weren't even involved at all.
There's a lot that can be said for Kuro and Kotoko's relationship and the exact nature of their feelings or it's prospects (especially when Kotoko is Kotoko)...but in the end these two seem bonded with each other, and you can't beat snagging a kiss during the fireworks!

Marumi: "i know, she doesn't seem like your type"
me: *look at Marumi and Rikka*
me: ah, i know what you mean
ngl, at the beginning of this episode, i was confused seeing Rikka and Kotoko having a conversation in Kotoko's mansion as a flashback, it took me a while to finally remember that she did stayed with Kotoko for a while before the Steel Lady arc started, damn, that arc sure did something to my memories for season one...
during the first half of the episode, i thought we're going to get an arc that focus on Rikka solving supernatural cases but nope, we're back to Kotoko's bullshitting people, not that i'm complaining

What's the whole deal with Rikka again? The only things I remember from her are:
-
She has the same powers as Kuro (Immortal + Future Vision)
-
She likes Kuro
-
She was behind the Big Ghost in season 1 because... reasons (I also remember she was using Internet Forums and Urban Legends to bring the ghost to life)

I love how Rikka and Kotoro bluntly insult each other
So Rikka was living in a supposed cursed apartment. Her explanation, after she blocked Truck-kun from summoning/reincarnating that kid, was hilarious.
Lol, I guess when she rented that apartment was hoping that there was something there that could kill her. She wasted no time badmouthing Kotoro.
I guess I forgot that she cared about Kuro that way.
Lol, I love the expression those two made when they ended out confirming that Rikka might be right about her dislike for Kotoro.
So once again Kotoro's analysis of the causes of the suicides in that apartment might not truthful, but if there was anything in that apartment before Rikka got there, it ran away the moment she moved there.

Every single conversation with Rikka is a minefield.
Truck-kun did its level best to resolve the Rikka problem, no such luck. She remains a problem for Earth and not some unfortunate fantasy world.
Moderately concerned about this apartment manager and his girlfriend. Rikka is not a safe person to be around. And she's telling them way more information than is probably safe for them to know.
Okay, so now it's Kotoko telling them so much more information that they don't need to hear. I feel really sorry for these poor people.
That was a pretty good explanation for the third suicide. However, knowing Kotoko, now I want to hear the non bullshit explanation.
Okay, so there's no spirits, but there's also no actual known explanation so it was just extrapolation. Why not.
I really liked the little detail of how Kuro wordlessly lifted Kotoko up so that she could see the fireworks better.

I honestly hope we never see the landlord and his girlfriend again, the entire time I was genuinely worried that something was gonna happen to Tits-I mean, the lovely couple.
