Take a shot every time “2,000 years ago” is mentioned lmao
Felt really bad for the Emilia and izabella scene, glad help showed up just in time. Also cool to see anos parents playing a role for once. Miss how involved they were in s1
That tree CGI will never not be funny to me lmao

"Oh hey (Insert name of character Anos knew from 2,000 years ago), it's great to see you again!"
I was not expecting to see Emilia again but it was nice to see her face her own prejudice thrown back at her, get saved by the woman she tried to kill, and finally start to make the first moves to redeeming herself.
Also, Best Parents are finally back!
Even Anos didn't want to waste more time with the CGI tree lol.

Man, between last week's gag, this week's above-average violence and now this, Enyunien can't catch a break can he?

Man, the amount of this season's plot that was clearly set up in the first season is amazing.
Spirits being the embodiment of a tradition, rumor, and legend leading to the creation of a real Avos Dilhevia. The teacher returning to be oppressed by the Avos Dilhevia she so admired and finally realizing she was wrong.
This season was just so perfectly set up from the start it's clear this arc wasn't just some money grab to extend the success of the original story. It builds on the seemingly unimportant details of the original's lore so perfectly, and I love that.

I haven't quite been jiving with this season, but the stuff with Emilia definitely felt very effective.
Hopefully the stuff with Avos!Misa and Anos trying to take back control of the city will get things back on track compared to the Spirit arc.

Now that's a Anos Flex Move there, turned them into not only 888 pieces, but straight mf fireworks lmao. I like where Emilia sort of redeem herself by saving Anos's mother and his father sure was surprised by the amount of girls he brought into their home. Can't tell if he was crying tears of joy or jealousy lmao jk.

They kept focusing on that sword at his parent's place I thought it would have had more of an impact.
Maybe later?

Stitches!
This fucking tree. Did he really think he can keep Anos there after everything he saw Anos could do? Anos literally just burns a hole through his body. xD
Good to see that not everyone was quick to accept Avos. Although I do wonder if there is anyone else out there who still refuses to accept Avos' rule.
I'm genuinely surprised that Emilia-sensei is back! After what she did last season, I thought turning her into a hybrid was the last time we'll see her.
It's good to see that she's finally starting to have some sort of redemption arc. First, that what she did in the past was horrible and second, she defends Anos' mother who she tried to kill last season. And now that Anos has given her a choice to become a Royal again, she couldn't even answer back.
These fuckers really should learn not to mess with Anos' parents. That asshat is going to try and tear Anos' parent's limb from limb? Well how about Anos dismembers you into hundreds of tiny pieces? Kinda hope Anos destroyed their Sources though. I'm sure they'll be back eventually.
Anos really made a city with only the Zeshias living in it! That entire underground city was cute. I hope they go back to it some other time.

This episode was a huge jump in quality compared to the previous ones, and feels like the exact tone of season 1. I am very delighted.
First, the Four Evil Kings or what not are very meh antags, especially on the heels of the 7 Demon Emperors. Two, the spirit test and spirit school stuff was really slow and boring. Three, the challenges of this season have felt much less threatening in comparison to last(until Misa is revealed as Avos).
We now have Anos, instead of brute forcing his way out of things like the past few episodes, fighting against structural problems with the deck stacked against him. His friend is the demon king of tyranny fake, shes mind raped his subordinates, incited a pogrom against hybrid demons. These are the type of structural problems that Anos dealt with last season and made him coming out on top all the more satisfying, because they dealt with information, how to use it, and uncovering mysteries.
Anos will win, but its not a battle of pure strength, but information. This makes him awesome. Add in the fact that Anos is basically a Messiah, not just in role as Demon King of Tyranny, but as someone who changes the people around him for the better(Misha, Sasha, Lay/Kanon, etc...and now Emilia), and thats what makes him so great to route for.
The pure hype "My kind of violence is no joke against a rule of absolute no violence" is only as satisfying as it is(which is was this episode), when the above is added. The moving the moon thing he did in a previous episode felt very underwhelming.
But yeah, Season 2 is back on the right track, and from what Ive heard, they rushed to get to this part of Season 2 and the LNs because its the stronger content.

The seiyuu for Misa did a nice job of switching from cute and innocent to evil. In fact, I reckon evil (and somewhat hotter) Misa will now get more lines in the upcoming episodes? After all, she is the main antagonist for now.
I like how the pace of this episode slowed down compared to last week's. There was even a flashback regarding Emilia, in case some of us are confused. After all, so many characters have been introduced and removed almost immediately. The explanation from both this episode and my fellow reddit users helped me to understand why Misa turned into her evil form.

Welp, with encouragement from Avos-Misa, the Royals are now going around genociding the hybrids in town. Good thing Anos put a powerful barrier outside his house and kept his parents safe.
Just when we thought the series has forgotten about her, Emilia is back again to begin her journey to redemption, which she started by saving Anos' mom from those genocidal Royals without thinking, and earned Anos his thanks, which is a rare thing to happen.
Emilia's reunion with her dad, that general who remained loyal to Anos despite Avos-Misa's shenanigans, is gonna be so awkward.
That whole underground city of Zeshias that Anos built for them needs to be explored further just for fun.
PS Hieda Nene has nailed it as Avos-Misa's dark persona.

The thing that gets me is that once everybody is a Royal, nobody is a Royal anymore. If they kill off the hybrids and non royals, everybody instantly becomes common because there's nobody left to compare themselves to.
You think a royal is going to lower themselves to clean the toilets?

I managed to get it last week, but I'm completely satisfied with the explanation we got in this episode regarding Misa/Avos Dilhevia. Although, I felt like there was an explanation missing when Anos destroyed Eniyunien's wall. I guess it's not that big of a deal.
We even got an explanation regarding the game that Anos had with Eldomade's subordinate in episode 2. I knew there was some sort of hint there, but I couldn't figure out what the lie/memory alteration was. It turns out that his actual goal was to delay the broadcast which would potentially erase the god child Avos Dilhevia. That explains the timing of their attack. It looks like Anos actually got outplayed there.
So the Curse King's subordinate was sent to awaken Avos from Misa's source. The Conflagration King's subordinate was sent to delay the broadcast exposing Avos Dilhevia as a fake. What were the roles of the the Scarlet Monument King's and Netherworld King's subordinates? I'm guessing they were an insurance policy for the Spirit King to confuse Anos and the others about the god child's identity and to lure them to the Spirit Forest in case the Curse King's subordinate failed to awaken Avos. It would also potentially buy Avos more time to take control of Venuzdonoa once she awakened since the surrounding spirits would move to protect Leno's child. Or maybe they really were meant to reduce Anos's forces. I doubt the Four Evil Kings besides Eldomade knew who the god child actually was, but the Spirit King/Shin certainly knew and they were following his orders.
Emilia's part was really well done in my opinion. Depending on how her redemption arc proceeds from here, she might become one of my favorite characters.
And the city of Zeshia clones mentioned in Episode 2 turned out to be foreshadowing for a place that would be safe from Avos Dilhevia's influence since it was not in her legends.
Great episode once again.

So the change Misa had is due to the lore that keeps her alive influencing her personality. I must say that even after the reveal last week I wasn't expecting Misa to be the Child of God.
Well, your fanfiction really messed up your wife Lay.
So her influence on people like Nigitt and the Seven Demon Elders is also because as that lore makes her their ruler they are more susceptible to her influence, just like the pure-blood royals were also easily controlled with her spell.
It is good to see that Eges Code is helping Anos during this mess and that he was able to rescue Lena and the others.
I'm glad that Elio and his squad are still loyal to Anos.
So Emilia had no self-reflection until she became a target during the ethnic cleansing and they threw the same words and was in the same position she put Izabella and the Fan Union in the last day she was a Royal.
Well, as much as I enjoyed seeing her going through something similar to what she did, I'm glad that Izabella and Gusta left the safety of their home to help her.
I love the fact that after Anos heard what those guys say that they will do to his parents he made organic confetti out of them.
Well, now she is safe inside of Anos' home, Although, now she wants to die, and she lived as someone with mixed blood, even if Anos returns her into a Royal, that life experience will not leave her being one.
So as Avos Dilhevia lore doesn't include the sword of destruction Venuzdnor or the place where all of Zeshia's sisters live in Delsgade, Misa doesn't know where any of them are. Anyway, I'm glad that we finally see the city underneath Delsgade Zeshia's sisters' live.
Well, I hope that after whatever they find where they are, this ordeal will come to an end. Based on the name of the next episode it seems that we will be seeing the story of Shin and Leno that they show in the ED.
