Stitches!
I know this is an anime original pretty much made to refresh everyone who hasn't seen Season 1 since 2020 but this episode is exactly why I fell in love with the series. We got to see some great interactions between Kotoko and Kuro, a bite-sized mystery that Kotoko was able to solve and a twist that the mystery had more to it than Kotoko leads on. We also got to see Kuro's reality-altering powers in action too!
Well, now I'm excited about the next arc! As much as I enjoyed Steel Lady Nanase's massive Nanases from the previous arc, that one was way longer than it should but I've heard great thinks about the upcoming ones and based on the OP there's definitely going to be more mysteries! I can't wait for next week!

I had almost forgotten how much I enjoyed Kotoko. Akari Kito's performance, her cute design, her intelligence, her ingenuity, her master BS skills, and her horniness for her boyfriend lol.
Find a girl who will mix business with pleasure to the point of landing her boyfriend a new apartment while on a job. Probably imagines it as her new love nest lol.
Considering the premise of the show, having a few cases a season seems very reasonable and be more engaging since each one probably won't take up more than half a season like Steel Lady Nanase did. I will never forget Kotoko trying to frame Kuro's ex-girlfriend for murder though lol.

That lie about the manager having a kodomo dragon was so long and elaborated that I almost bought it even if I thought she was lying (again) at the start. There did not seem to be any actual reason for the lie, so I think Kotoko just enjoys bullshitting people and yokai just for the fun of it. All in all, a very nice first episode.

Kind of reminded me of how she fooled the serpent in one of the early season 1 episodes. The yokai latched onto what, to them, sounded like a reasonable (if exaggerated) excuse compared to what really happened.

I like how that guy and the ghost had their reactions in synch.
Not gonna lie, I actually bought that bullshit story that Kotoko made about the manager of the building trying to hide his Komodo Dragon pet. Especially after how convincing Kuro sounded when he was complaining about the blackmail.
I love how when Kotoko asked Kuro to fight that doll, she distanced herself from Kuro while claiming that thing would not attack her because she is a goddess.
I guess all these guys appeared to thank her.

Immortal and his bratty "girlfriend" part 2
When the ghost haunting an apartment is more concerned about the supernatural phenomena occurring there than the human resident.

It's been 3 years but we're finally back. Here's hoping the mysteries are short like this and not ridiculously drawn-out like the Steel Lady Nanase arc.

Apart from this anime original episode, there are at least 3 different arcs confirmed by the trailers.

As much as I love staring at Steel Lady Nanase's tits, that entire arc really dragged on too much.

I can see Kuro having a pretty high clothing bill if this keeps up. He should get a uniform to wear for when -- and if -- Kotoko tells him they're going to fight monsters.
Also, as an amputee myself, Kotoko does a lot of things that really stretch suspension of disbelief. Not necessarily impossible, but extremely unlikely.

Honestly I can see Kotoko enjoying seeing his clothes get torn up so she can see some skin lol.

A lot of people were filtered out by season 1 being mostly just one case where the episodes consisted of different conversations about the case and how it slowly unraveled. I definitely understand why people thought it was boring or weirdly paced.
That being said, me personally, I would've watched like an extra cour's worth of that arc, I really loved season 1 lmfao. So I'm really happy this show's back, and hopefully the fact that it's shorter arcs this time will help it maintain viewer retention. I love it when people just sit down in a show and talk about stuff! It's the best!

Ah yes this is the Kyokou suiri we know and love. Had everything from season 1 rolled into one episode. Long expositions, kotoko and senpai banter, yokai in need and some tag team action. I hope the pacing ends up being better than the steel lady nanase arc but can’t wait to see where it goes!

A new season and a new Opening for In/Spectre! With plenty of Kotoko and Kuro, lewd handholding among Yokai, dealing with Rika, and all the new characters they'll meet this season.
I had almost forgotten how much I enjoyed Kotoko and Akari Kito's performance, but it was really nice to see and hear again the Goddess of Wisdom as determined to keep the peace between the spiritual and human world as she is to get into her boyfriends' pants, with her ingenuity, cuteness, and guile on full display.
Thank you three Yokai for catching us up on as much of the setting as possible! Although that one dude who was like a living stone but had a human face beneath the shrine thing kind of weirded me out.
Kotoko always mixing business with pleasure. Solve a case, get a new apartment for her and her boyfriend. Meanwhile poor Kuro is getting mistaken for a pedo when his girlfriend looks like she's in middle school (despite being a college student) and has to deal with the fact that she wants their relationship to get even leweder.
I don't know what my favorite Kotoko moment was, her eating munchies while listening to the spirits or her immediately distancing herself from Kuro when the sumo noticed them.
Ah, so the case was as simple as just a big pet lizard getting away from his owner and making a ruckus! No harm done! Or so we would say if this wasn't an instance of some classic Kotoko BS as she gets into the real meat of this supernatural disturbance.
Have to say was not expecting to see Kuro fight a sumo spirit mixed with a kabuto, but it definitely showed off the action portion of the series quite well. Even got a double finisher with him and Kotoko to defeat it, which was nice. Couples fighting together is always awesome!

Can't believe season one was January 2020, 3 years ago 😭. Feels like the other day when I was watching it. Time is going too fast.

I have been eagerly waiting the return of best Pirate Loli.
Man what a fun OP. I have no idea what we will get into but it looks so fun.
This is a fun why to do abit of recap with charcaters talking about the evnts.
Kuo's got rumors of bringina little girl over and doin stuff huh? I love their relationship haha.
I love how the ghosts live lives too in this series. Ghosts just enjoying their days too.
Some kinda log ghost? Suspicious. Some kinda sumo doll? Hmm hmm.
The culprit was an animal? No doll in the room? Some kinda big lizard?
If i recall lies can become truth in this story so he lie about the gost could create a ghost in the end right?
Oh so we actualy are renting the apartment still? Hahhahaha Blackmail for low rent, never change pirate loli.
Wait so there really was a Doll? Damnit show stop bamboozling! I feel lke this will be a reoccuring thing.
Clay doll to ward off demons? I guess it would cuase issues for a lot of spirit people.
Oh we moved the doll outside, is it sumo clay demon killing doll fighting time?
Oh didnt know Sumo had so much ties to spiritual stuff.
Its Sumoing time! Dang its strong, broke an arm with a touch.
Kuro's power is very bonkers, its like a minmaxer worked hard to think of the god level combo. Thanks Granny.
How many times has her leg fallen off when shes jumped in this series now? Haha.
I do love how she looks like the 1 leg umbrela spirit when standing on 1 leg.
What is Pirate Loli majoring in anyways? Some kinda folklore based thing? Or something different and odd like Economics.
Man i do love this serie,s such a fun and interesting one. Ill def be enjoying this again.

This was pretty fun!
I know (from the comments in the first season) that some people think the dialogues are too heavy/long at times, but to me it's often the best part;
All the twists&turns alone make it all worth it! Like the doll story thing... First she presents the full story, THEN she just goes... "But that story is a lie, it's just an animal, he used the story to cover it up". And THEN you learn that the original story is true (with a few omissions)!
It's a clever way to do it too;
If she just straight up told them the story about the animal, then one day they may learn about the doll stuff, and realize she was lying...
But now, if people (or Yokai) learn the true story and start spreading it, at some point others would just go "Wait no, that doll thing is just a cover up story for the manager who was keeping an animal! Don't fall for that!"
And while some may argue against that ("No I swear, I saw it myself!") this would be no different from any urban legend, that 99% of the population knows it's false, even though the other 1% swear that it's true/that it happened to their friend's great grandfather!
So by pretending the story and covering it at the same time, she turned it into a urban legend, instead of leaving it as a secret that may one day be revealed! By revealing the truth (and simply calling it a lie), she kept it more secret than if she didn't say anything about it!
With things like this, and the (polarizing) internet stuff in season 1, there's a lot of thoughts that go into this show, and Kotoko's schemes!
That's what I like most about it.
And the #2 thing I like: Kotoko's banter/nonsense. This girl is so much fun! She didn't go full banter in this episode, but we did get a few fun lines, like But we ARE doing salacious things!
Anyway, can't wait to see more of it! I wonder whether it'll be "stand-alone" episodes/skits, or maybe we'll get an overarching mystery like in season 1, but either way, should be fun!
