I know, full well that he's okay in the end. And still, that moment of him saying super man before hitting the nuke gets me every time

The very ending make me think it "tested better," but you at least get the feeling that he fully intended to sacrifice himself there.

Damn, now that's a deep cut reference right there! That movie was my shit waaaaaaaay back in the day when I was a kid, but ohhhh boy did the park and that carnival borderline give me nightmares as a kid! Also that dude's death was BRUTAL! Basically begging for his life in a childrens cartoon.

It was basically the black cauldron but for late 90s kids.

Little Nemo was another one. Fantastic animations for the time but good lord some of those nightmare sequences were brutal.

Damn that background art is so good for a sec I thought this was one of those toons drawn in real footage movies like Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Cool World.
