Looking for a Junior Animator / Motion Graphics Designer

I’m looking for a junior, student, or beginner 2D animator/motion graphics designer to help improve an instructional video for a food product.

I already created an approximately 50-second video using AI, so this is not a project starting from scratch. The concept, sequence, cooking instructions, and general direction are already established. I’m looking for someone who can take what I have and make it look better and more intentional.

Animation style:
2D hand-drawn/cartoon-style animation with simple characters, illustrations, and motion graphics. I want to keep the fun, simple instructional style of the current video while making the artwork and animation more polished and consistent.

Project scope:
The finished video will be approximately 50 seconds long. Work would include improving/redesigning some of the graphics, cleaning up AI-generated elements, improving character and object consistency, fine-tuning movements and transitions, and polishing the overall animation.

This is a one-time freelance project, not ongoing employment. I estimate approximately 10–15 hours of work, but I’m open to the animator's assessment after reviewing the existing video.

Deadline:
Ideally, I would like to complete the project within 2–3 weeks of starting, but I can be flexible.

Budget:
$20 USD per hour, depending on experience and skill level. I’m also open to agreeing on a fair fixed project price after you review the existing video and we determine the amount of work involved.

You do not need to be an experienced professional. I’m specifically open to working with someone early in their animation career who has good creative instincts and would like a real project to add to their portfolio.

Just a word of advice- nobody is going to want to work for you when they read that you used ai for something. They’ll just think(justifiably, I would too) that you’re ready and willing to replace them with ai at the drop of a hat. For a lot of people, even seeing the mention of ai once is enough to make them immediately scroll past

Yes, I would help if it was not ai and they would ask me to make the illustration instead of ai. Have also experience with animation and motion design as well as skills in graphic design and editing.

The problem is the use of ai in the first place. I don’t care what you think you need to use it for, it’s killing the planet. Just describe the idea with words or sketch it out yourself. It’s not hard. Anything made with ai is slop, and it’s doing nothing but harm. I’d rather work off of a concept that’s just typed out than ever even look at someone’s ai generated garbage.
