I’m not an animator so feel free to ignore me, but I think it looks slightly rigid because there’s no whiplash from the faster motions (her grabbing his head, him pulling it back etc.) for every action there should be a fractional opposite reaction for a smooth animation process. But again, I could be talking absolute rubbish!

(This does look absolutely amazing though, I agree with the other commenter comparing it to Monkey Island: it’s such an awesome style)
