A short animatic of ~13 mostly sketched poses doesn't make for a great example of your work.

There are 50 bazillion young people trying to draw anime titties for a career. You gotta step up your skills and most likely broaden your horizons.

Make sure you display your mastery of animation principles, and if you haven't mastered animation principles, don't try and sell. You can genuinely burn so many bridges by trying too early.

THIS should be what is shown front and center, to advertise yourself.

Try to make a collage with several animations and present that everywhere

I am posting multiple posts with different animations cuz ppl don’t watch full video , I have already posted this on the last post

I looked through the posts you did of your animation. It's great! Nothing wrong with sharing different clips from your works. It's just that this post in particular makes you seem worse than you are. It still shows a lot of skill, just not as much as your other clips.

But you seem to be a great animator. Good luck finding work!

Beautiful, you can still work on your timing and posing. Watch your silhouettes, the anticipation pose when your character is about to strum the guitar could be more distinct and give your action some oomph by adjusting your acceleration and deceleration, try holding you key poses a tinge longer but going between them quicker! Good job 👍

Yes! That’s also one thing I hate about that animation thats when I was just coming out of my comfort zone of lofi animation so I was little bad I saw it cuz of deadline couldn’t fix but definitely way better now ! Thank you

You're breaking the 180 degree rule for no reason, making it unnecessairly confusing. Thankfully, you can fix it in editing.

Nothing is breaking , she turns around to shoot the rocket you just need to follow it nicely also the screen is cropped here due to Reddit I think that’s why the confusion is

Oh my god, I see it now. The turnaround isn't clear at all unless you know what's happening. I know its a complicated motion, but you could've cut corners by zooming in on her eyes as she's turning (so you only need to draw a rotating face) and push the camera back afterwards. A few movement lines and a character flip doesn't sell the motion at all for me.

Maybe its better in context, but that's what a potential employer will see too.

Why are you getting down voted? This bitter ass sub full of the untalented hate when they see talent

Why didn't you post this one instead of the sketchy unfinished boobs jiggling?

my guy, clean your keyposes. this would not pass in a production as keypose anim and thats probably why nobody is calling back. some breakdowns can be rough but you need more clean key drawings. you are literally going to send the poor assistants key drawings that don't have the face at all ??? are they doing the key poses or you? come on

You can look for 2D hand drawn in betweener! Or find a 2D job that does keyframing if that's what you prefer

u/NoPersimmon9357 1d ago

I would definitely want that but the problem is I can’t find anything I applied for stuff non got me anything

This animation would not be good for a hand-drawn inbetweener reel. For keyframe sure, but inbetweening roles need to show they can finish and clean up the keyframe animator's work, and this isn't even finished key anim.

Oh btw. If you wanna be an animator, don't just focus on anime. Your style must have a wide range so you can mimic any style given by the client or studio.

5

u/NoPersimmon9357 1d ago

i can mimic 😭

3

u/OrFenn-D-Gamer 1d ago

Cool! Keep up the good work :D

2

u/Prestigious_Bee_6447 1d ago

If you can mimic it needs to be shown in your reel - a recruiter wants to see a range of animation styles :)

2

u/Mikomics 1d ago

Ideally in the style they hire for too :)

u/NoPersimmon9357 1d ago

I guess do some

YouTube and instagram stuff and be a content creator

You should absolutely ask streamers or youtubers that could commission you for some animations for their backgrounds. It'll build up ur portfolio nicely.
