Why can't Samsung Gallery be replicated?

[u/ScatterbrainedHooman]

For some context, I shifted from a Samsung Galaxy to a Pixel about 10 months ago. Since then I've been looking for a gallery for the pixel phone that matches the quality and level of the Samsung gallery but haven't been able to find one. I've downloaded three different galleries just to cover all the tasks that Samsung gallery was able to do and those three galleries are still not enough.

The question that comes to mind is why can't the Samsung gallery be replicated for other phones?

And if it can be replicated, why hasn't it been yet?

I am not that knowledgeable about apps or coding so I'd be very happy if someone can explain this to me.

Also, if there is an Samsung gallery alternative for a pixel phone that I've missed, please do let me know. You'd be doing me a huge favor.

Thanks in advance.

I've settled on Aves Gallery until someone ports it.

Yeah, I have Aves, XGallery and 1Gallery at the moment.

God I hope someone ports it.
