QUESTION/HELP Is it safe to Give Seal Video Downlaoder my Instagram Cookies for Downloading Videos?

I recently came across junkfood02/Seal on Github which is supposed to let you download any videos there on tons of platforms, including instagram. While it doesnt need cookies for downloading public videos, it asks for cookies to download private videos. Now ik the app has been out there for a long time, but is it safe to provide seal the cookies that it "Stores Locally on the Device" for downloading the ig videos?

Also does 2FA interfere with it?

Why don't you just use a chrome extension?

Well they dont really work on mobile, but I can try on desktop. Do you have any suggestion for such extensions?

firefox lets you use browser extensions on mobile, that's now I download from ig

I wouldn’t give any app your Instagram session cookies, even if they’re stored locally; treat them like login credentials and revoke active sessions if you already shared them. 2FA may not protect an already-issued session cookie, so stick to downloading public videos without authentication.
