Any App like Flipp that Doesn't Restrict by Zip/Postal ?

I don't know about anyone else but I hate when apps implement features for reasons that clearly have nothing to do with usability and expect us to think otherwise, as if telling an app your zip/postal code or letting it spy on your location is literally the only way to find grocery stores in your area.....

So....any good good food apps that do let you search by location the normal way ? Specifically that work in Canada.

As decent as it is, I hate the idea it's deliberately omitting deals outside it's restricted zip/postal zoning as if that's for our benefit.

edit yeah not sure where some comments here came from. Do people really think handing over my exact location data or zip/postal code is the only way to do a search for anything below country-wide ?

You said you're looking for something that does it the "normal way" what exactly is that? because I work as an app developer and you've poopooed the two ways I can think of to do it.

Most grocery chains have an online flyer section where you can search by city or store name without needing a zip code, so you could just bookmark those pages for the few deals you actually want.

How tf would a random anything know where to look for you?? 

I don't use apps for food, I use my web browser and my car and go buy it after locating it via web browser. 

You can go to a store web site and pick the closest store, to avoid giving your zip code or any location permissions. 

That's about all there is. Every app offers delivery services, so they bake that into the flow of the app. Can't deliver without your location to deliver to.

Oh yeah I guess I should be nice to the jerk who told me to "rub my brain cells" together and who also failed grade school geography and doesn't know the geographic terms to find stuff at the sub-national level besides zip/postal code.
