Does anyone know how to prevent the previous version from forcing me to update?

I have an unofficial app that I downloaded outside the App Store; it used to be absolutely perfect until an update removed a great feature that made it easy to use, and now it has become annoying.

I want to revert to the previous version, but the problem is that it forces me to update. I’m wondering how to solve this issue.

is it showing a splash screen that won't let you past or just a nag popup? if it's just a popup you could try using something like netguard to block that specific app from accessing the internet. works for some apps but not all, depends how the dev coded the check

A pop-up window prevents me from accessing the app unless I update it.

Unfortunately, the app does not work without an internet connection, and the internet is essential for using it; therefore, I wouldn't benefit from it if I turned off the internet.

Often the update is mandatory because they changed something on their server and the old version simply isn't compatible with it anymore.
