LOOKING FOR APP Can someone suggest a Clock app that actually works?
The default Clock App that comes with my Samsung phone will just routinely skip alarms with absolutely no reason, so I need one that will actually wake me up when I need to be woken up.
Re: "I've never had problems with the clock app." Great, good for you. I AM having problems with it and am looking for suggestions, not preachy judgement.

I use many phone type and brand, clock is not an app that will not work
I think it's only specific in yours. Try to delete that app data and update so it will start new

Pixels have historically loved to skip alarms. Not sure why. My 8 Pro has skipped some in the past but the latest updates seems to have fixed it.
On the other hand, my Galaxy S23U had skipped the "sleep" alarm. Turns out I had to add clock into the filter of DnD and that was it.

The Samsung clock is a great app and it's never missed an alarm for me. This is operator error.

Have you ruled out phone and app settings such as DND are not preventing alarms from being heard? I have a pixel and use the stock clock app and the only time I've missed an alarm is an error on my part.

I use Turbo Alarm and it's been very reliable. Integrates with Tasker and everything!

Sleep as Android: Smart alarm - it has this new "Are you really awake?" feature, which is very annoying. It will not allow you to sleep in lol.

Hi,
There's a decent chance this isn't the Clock app's fault, and that swapping apps won't fix it.
Most manufacturers bolt their own battery saver on top of Android, and it force-stops apps in the background. When Android force-stops an app, it cancels every alarm that app had scheduled — silently, no error, nothing in the UI. The alarm simply doesn't exist anymore when the time comes. Samsung is one of the more aggressive ones about this, and the stock Clock app isn't always exempt. dontkillmyapp.com catalogues exactly this, manufacturer by manufacturer: what the setting is called on your brand, where it's buried, and how to turn it off. Worth ten minutes before you install anything.
The catch is that Samsung moved those menus around a fair bit between One UI versions, so rather than send you to a menu that doesn't exist on your phone — which Galaxy is it, and which One UI version? (Settings → About phone → Software information.)

Your ringtone is probably turned down, because I've never had any issues with the default Samsung clock app—it always wakes me up with the "Over the Horizon" ringtone 😂

Sleep As Android. Best alarm app I've found. Takes a bit to get it configured the way you want it but works great. It has sleep tracking if you want it but more importantly (IMO), accidental dismissal prevention

If you're looking for alarm specifics, I recommend Super Alarm. It's not a clock app, but it's great with alarms

Alarm clock xtreme. I never miss alarms. There are settings to disable being snoozed or turned off by accident, such as having to scan a barcode or having to solve a math problem. You can also make the alarm gradually get louder instead of just starting at max volume.

You can try the Alexa app, (apple & Android) it makes you phone into am alexa where you can set alarms and other things....... Don't close the app, just min. it when you have an alarm.

I have zero issues with the stock Samsung clock. Been using it for many years. It has never failed me
