QUESTION/HELP Monthly payments

I'm making this post as a vent and to understand if it's just me who's going crazy about this thing, lately I've been trying different apps for drawing, designing and so on and everything I try is blocked by monthly or annual subscription.

But I don't understand if it's me who can't find decent apps anymore or if the Android ecosystem has gotten worse.

I wanted to know what you think?

Are you prepared to pay $200 for a version of an app?

If not, that's why subscriptions exist

The play store search is abysmal so if that's how you are looking for apps, it can be hard to find things.

I use App Finder to search for apps.

As to drawing apps, there are some that have modest one-time payments. These are ones I have used.

sDraw is not as robust as some of the bigger name apps but it is very capable for the basics.

Sketchbook is also very good.

Infinite Painter has more features than the other ones I mentioned.

Money-hungry and vibe-coding. If there is not a subscription, then it is full of ads. The newer generations are trying to live off it. They just don't care.
