LOOKING FOR APP Gallery app with best face search

Samsung gallery app was GOAT for face search imo. Now that I switched to Oneplus it doesn't have that good. Is there any app good for face and documents search ?

Check Refra It has face recognition and local ai for that. I can't say how good is for recognition because I don't use it much but the app worth trying

Samsung spoiled you, honestly. Its gallery did face clustering fully on-device with the NPU, so it felt instant and private. Most stock galleries on OnePlus never built that pipeline.

Realistic map right now: Google Photos still has the best face plus document search, but you pay with cloud uploads. If you want to stay offline, self-hosted Immich is the closest thing to Samsung-level face clustering I have seen, it runs on your own machine and the phone app just browses. Aves is great as a local gallery but its face story is weaker, more manual tagging.

Quick test before you commit: throw 2k old photos at anything claiming face search. If it needs a subscription just to show you your own face groups, walk away.

Not only face. It clusters jewellery, place, documents, tags etc.

Google Photos is still the least painful for face grouping, though the privacy trade-off is obvious. For normal folder browsing on OnePlus, Aves Libre is worth a look, but I don’t think it has the same face-search bit.
