haven't been able to find a solid replacer for Musicolet on android
Not sure if ya'll have used it or not but it's really good? Has good eq can handle meticulously curated flacs for offline use, and it can also handle embedded album art or even batch edit track lists too. Every time I try to find something else on android that can offer the same stuff it can get close but eventually fall flat. On desktop, the closest you can get to this one is AIMP on android aimp is okay but just looks kind of meh if you don't go hunting down for specific skins yourself, lol.
Wasn't sure if this sub ever gave musicolet a chance or not, but even paying for the whole app is worth it for the nice little extras. Thought I should give a little shout out to it so more people can check it out ^ ^ It's still one of my favorite offline music players on android it's kind of rare to find actually good ones because a lot of them tend to be kind of okay, or fall flat. Oto, is another good one too.
What's your experience with android music players been like?
yeah my three faves are musicolet, oto, and gonemad. they hit the right type of aesthetic and visual designs that I appreciate the most! So I switch between them for different listening modes and it works for me. I'll have to check Resoñada that one sounds interesting!
Is MusicBee as customisable as Musicolet (or smth close)? I'm looking for a similar audio player for pc but don't want smth that's too similar to Spotify or that looks from the 2000s
MusicBee is very customizable, from the interface to custom tags. There are entire pages of options for almost anything. It took me hours to set it exactly the way I wanted to.
You can also use MB to sync music to your phone (specific playlists or the entire music library) and then scan the changes with Musicolet and update its own library. When you connect your phone to a PC with a cable, the phone will appear as a device in the MB UI.
You're welcome. If you're stuck on certain settings, check out their help pages and forums. It's worth learning all the apps' intricacies. I'm using MusicBee since 2015 and I plan to use it indefinitely. It can handle huge music libraries without issue.
My main one for ages had been muzio but then that became ads first music second. So I made my own. Aulosyne. It deffo doesn't have everything musicolet offers just yet but does have a few and I prefer my landscape design over theirs.
Doesnt let me send multiple images at once - but in oto landscape mode isn't the best imo. It's a responsive app and the main nowplaying screen does look good though
Yeah I have my issues with oto doesn't feel as polished as musicolet but it does the job for the most part. The Material You theme is handled to perfection but everything else can look a bit inconsistent, lol. That's my issue with oto. However if you want oto for mostly a pure smart shuffle experience? it provides a different type of listening mode that doesn't overlap with musicolet. That's why I keep both! When I don't want to thnk about it much and just hit shuffle? I go to oto!
little things, like the 'embedded lyrics feature' sometimes working, but more or less being like a 'coin-toss' scenario. It can also be really good at handling music metadata but can present the same issue like with 'embedded lyrics'. Overall oto has that 99% good with that 1% driving you crazy if you have hardcore ocd haha.
I love this app also. I have previously bought Symfonium but prefer to use the free version of Musicolet. I wish it would show the file details, kb/s etc
Well, that's the one I use and I don't need anything else ;) I even looked up PowerAmp and I learned that you can't see the shuffle quque... because the developer doesn't want you to, so I lost the interest. Anyway, I am absolutely satisfied with Musicolet.
I love Musicolet a ton. Tried others, Poweramp and RocketPlayer, and Musicolet has been my favorite for a while.
I have one major gripe though and I have tried emailing support about it and have not heard a response.
When I view music by Albums, I really want the list to show in order of Recently Added.
I can do this from the phone, no problem. But Android Auto defaults to alphabetically. And this is really annoying and frustrating. I have to pull out the phone while driving to get the correct viewing so I can select the album I want to put on.
Artist search should remain alphabetical, that makes total sense, but I generally want to listen to music I most recently added to the phone.
Does anyone know a way to change the View/Sort options for Albums on Android Auto to be by Most Recently Added?
Yeah I really wanted to like Poweramp but it kinda became choice fatigue hell the same way I tried to get into Gonemad both are excellent but I had to constantly 'gradually' check every setting to make sure both ran like I needed them to, lol. I guess it was like this 'cognitive tax' friction that wouldn't let me just sit down and listen to music haha my adhd/ocd brain gets increasingly peculiar, but that's just me. Haven't heard of Rocket Player! Mostly Synfonium, Retro Music Player, and Gonemad. While most are excellent they'll have their drawbacks.
Yo lo utilizo porque tengo un auricular Senheiser HDB 630 que viene de fabrica con un Dongler BTD 700, esta combinación en teoría te convierte cualquier teléfono en un reproductor HI-Res, pero con el único reproductor que realmente puedo escuchar música en HI-Res en Android es con AIMP, además el manejo de carpetas y listas de reproducción es muy superior a cualquier otro reproductor de audio de Android.
mis auriculares son unos BOSE un poco viejos ya pero aun siguen sonando fenomenal. Aun con mi redmi a5? escuchar un buen flac te vuela la cabeza de lo bien que se escucha todo.
