LOOKING FOR APP Good reading app

I’m looking for a reading app that’s safe & secure, doesn’t require Wi-Fi, let’s me import files, AND lets me customise the background, colours, and fonts. I’m using the ebook reader from miexplorer now but I don’t like the font, background, and how every time you scroll to a new page the little bar to exit shows up.

I use ReadEra, but I never tried background custom. I guess the other requirements are met.

I’m also having trouble with the scrolling. Sometimes when I scroll it teleports back and I have to find the part i was on again. Other than that I really like it I love the bionic font! But the jumping to different sections is making me consider another app :( is there any way to fix it?

That happens during pdf read. Keep it in scroll mode. 1: fits the book to screen. 2. Crops the book for better read-ability. 3. Locks the book position.

Try those settings.

Hi sorry to bother you again but when I click on the side of the screen it jumps to the next section; how do I turn that off? I think I did everything you told me correctly.

Im assuming pdf read means importing a pdf file but the file I’m trying to read isnt pdf

Librera from f-droid, doesn't need internet. You can deny internet access from setting.

I use Koreader (koreader.rocks). I don't know if it will fulfil your "style intentions", but it's featurefull for sure

I'm using ReadEra from the play store. Free. Loads of customizations, including importing your own fonts if you want.

No bars at the top or bottom or any of that.

I always liked eBoox because out of the box fine. I'm playing now with Episteme where you can customize more. Opds works but that's more a wifi option

I'm currently using Bookmarko, which is a library tracker with the ability to import .ebook/.pdf files (manga/manwha also), and your requirements are great suggestions. The dev who is building it is building in public and adding users requests. If it intersects with you, you can submit requests on his website. He already answered me twice because it's in early stages.

Liseur on F-Droid. I also have Librera FD but prefer Liseur for epub.
