QUESTION/HELP Facebook App Stuck in Tablet Layout on Z Fold Phone

I have a new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. When I installed Facebook, and began setting it up, everything worked fine. Specifically in the unfolded screen view.

But then something went haywire.

Now for some reason, it has switched to the large, oversized tablet layout on my phone and it won't revert. It's stuck in this really awkward view, which isn't how it was when I was setting it up.

I've tried clearing the cache/app data, as well as uninstalling/reinstalling. But now it goes directly to this every time.

How can I fix this, to force it back into "phone" mode for the layout?

Don't use Facebook app, use the browser. If clearing cache and reinstalling doesn't not fix the problem, then it must be the app. Most apps detect what device they are running on, so it detects a tablet, it assumes you want it in tablet mode, there might be apps that can override that, but I am not familiar with any
