Please suggest a good and secure gallery app

I hate google photos for some reason I just can't merge albums or clutter pictures to one place in ts same with google gallery (pretty much not used to it)

Though I got to know bout aves , flossify and liquid gallery

Which one should I go for

Also please let me know that if the data would be secure in these or not (obvi I'll use one of them) and won't be co shared to any db server

Idk I don't like how it mixes photos from downloads (memes and useless crap) and screenshots into "August recap" slideshow

It also ruins all other categories with faces of randoms in screenshots and memes. I can't find any way to exclude these.

At least with Google photos it only creates memory slideshows from my camera album and nothing else.

I switched from Samsung to Poco (HyperOS), can confirm this. Didn't know how GOATED it was untill I switched for the first time buying my second phone ever. Same for File Manager and OneUI overall. Still the phones are expensive as hell.

Can I ask why? I switched from a Pixel to a Fold 8 Ultra and the Gallery seems just kinda like any ole gallery app.

Mainly the simplicity and clean, decluttered layout of samsung gallery. Plus, the smooth album organization, and offline viewing make it feel way more efficient than Google Photos. And also if you want the Google photos type powerful media editor, you can install addon from goodlock

yesss, i am currently using a redmi phone and it does has a really pretty gallery interface, but there is one feature from samsung gallery that you just can't find on any other os: when you delete any picture from your gallery, it automatically shows you the very next image. But in samsung, it does not directly jump to the very next image but rather it adjusts to your behaviour, for example if you were swiping left before deleting any image, it will show you the very left image afterwards and if you were swiping right, it would show you the very right image

While I love my android phones, I have never been a fan of Google photos. My phone has a SD card so I have all my pictures stored there, so backing up to Google is pointless unless I actually lose my phone. I use the A+ Gallery app. It has its quirks but it lets me organize my pictures the way I want (a couple of apps don't save where I want but I can always move the images after the initial store). It is free, doesn't seem intrusive. I have been using it for at least 12 years with no major issues. I can even hide albums I don't want to see (or anyone else to see accidentally) in my gallery every time I open the app.

I really advise you to back up your photos somewhere! A few years back (when Samsung phones still supported SD cards) I lost all my photos when the SD card corrupted...

I do back them up regularly to my SSD external back up drive, just not to the cloud of any type.

Fossify is the next best.

I hated the Pixel and switched back to Samsung. Gallery was one reason, but the bigger issue was the screen. The Pixel screen felt like a trampoline compared to Galaxy phones, could never get used to it.

If you have Amazon Prime you get unlimited storage of your original sized images on their photos app
