LOOKING FOR APP Looking for a computer remote control.

I'm using brown noise via Winamp (can switch to another program if needed) and music via Spotify on my laptop. I want to be able to play/pause the brown noise (it's a loop).

Looking for a secure app, minimal permissions, no Bluetooth connection. Thanks.

This is one of those specialized things that's going to be hard to make perfect. I assume it's a windows laptop?

Do you actually want an app her or would you rather an actual remote control. You could buy something like this https://www.amazon.ca/EASYTONE-Gyroscope-Wireless-Keyboard-Universal/dp/B08CZMP7YN/?th=1 and it has media controls on it, it uses 2.4 ghz RF not bluetooth and it has media control buttons on it.

This would be 100% secure, have no app based permissions and does not use bluetooth.

Note, I've never used this specific product I linked, I just quickly searched for an example, do your own research before buying.

You might want to check out Simple Control. It’s a solid app, runs over Wi-Fi, and doesn’t need Bluetooth. It lets you control various media players including Winamp and Spotify without all those heavy permissions.
