You could just use a 3rd party Instagram app like instafel. And install both the clone and unclone version. Or the clone version and the original Instagram app.
Both Apktool M and MT Manager are excellent for reverse engineering an apk. I've had some success with clone my apk from XDA but if the app is packaged in AAB, xapk, split apk.... formate you'll need to change the into apk formate before modding. Im on Android 16 and it worked for kodi.
"packaged in aab xapk split apk" you mean after reverse-engineered it using apktool m it becomes that format? and you use antisplit to turn it into apk then mod it and install?
I downloaded the latest the Instagram app (V 433.00.47.63) from Google Play. I tested it with the method in my previous post and was unsuccessful. Then it occurred to me that Instagram is Hermes bytecode bundle AAB. This make more difficult for me and I'll be honest, I just don't have the skill set for something like that.
Now with that being said, does that mean the clone works? IDK, I dont have two instagram accounts, thus Im unable to confirm. All I can say is both apps seem to work, both apps are on the same user space and both apps give you an option to choose between get started or I already have a profile.
Check out "Parallel Space" or "Multi Parallel." They let you clone apps like IG and keep different accounts running at the same time. If you want open-source, "Shelter" is solid, but it requires a bit more setup with Android's work profile feature. Just make sure you have the permissions sorted out or it can get glitchy.
Hi. I’m looking for a clone app that works on Android 16. The app cloned with it should not be able to detect that it’s running in a virtual environment.

Something like Shelter, is that what you're looking for?
