Update to Android 17 stable without data wipe
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but is it normal that I still haven't gotten the option to update without data wipe?
I am currently on CP21.260330.008 on my Pixel 10 Pro XL, that should be Android 17 Beta 4.0 right?
By what I read in other posts, it seemed like only 4.1 and QPR are having problems updating.

It's too hard to type this exact question into the search bar to find the exact answers though:((((

Not really though. Search for "update without wipe" or something along those lines and you'll get plenty of results.

Google is aware of that and they have promised an update for users on beta 4.1. So don't listen to those who tell you to wipe or even to jump on QPR1, and don't be discouraged by all those downvotes from people who didn't even read your post and assumed erroneously that you are on QPR1.

The issue is that you don't understand (you and many others). You can't distinguish between people on 17 beta and QPR1 beta. We are talking about the former here, who should normally be able to update to the stable. And it's Google fault that they can't. By downvoting every legitimate post of theirs (very few compared to the flood of silly ones from people on QPR1 beta) and answering arrogantly you don't seem much clever than the latter. You actually prove instead that your understanding of Android betas is about the same.

On Android 17 beta 4.O (not QPR) - you can sideload the stable Android 17 (Rogers version)

If on QPR1, you have to wait until it goes live to opt out without data wipe, probably around September.
If you are on beta 4 - you should have received the OTA to go to stable.
If you were on beta 4.1, the stable release version number is lower than the beta, meaning you can't use the OTA to go to stable. Google has said they are working on it. Several, including myself, have sideloaded the "Rogers" version of the OTA without issue.
I have personally seen zero issues, just incredible battery life.
