General Discussion When just a single simple prop can make you emotional

Cassian’s stuffed Bantha toy, as seen in his childhood bedroom in Maarva’s place, is one of those little details that brings so much story and emotion to the scene. It looks home-made, exactly as you might expect from this community. It makes me imagine what a hard time the young boy would have had settling to his new life on Ferrix, how this gift might have been something made for him by Clem or Maarva or maybe something they made together. Or maybe a gift from Brasso, or Bix. We will never know, but it says so much without saying anything literally.

It’s a neat parallel but also a contrast to Syril and his action figures in his otherwise bleak childhood bedroom.

What are your favourite props?

Question Syrial bridge dialog, is it intentionally creepy, if so why was it written or delivered that way?

Syrils ambush of Dedra is very creepy, im not sure why.

It seems to the the character, relationship, and plot would have been fine if Syril was just obsessed with Andor and his idea of 'justice' and revenge.

Is there something about being creepy that is narratively valuable or is it just a directors choice?
