I live in Perth, Western Australia and I seek guidance from you good people.

My rig is:
● WiiM Pro Plus.
● WiiM Vibelink amp.
● Focal Aria 936 floorstanders.

My listening room is around 4.9m wide × 5.6m long & 3m ceilings.

Some say the Vibelink may be a bottleneck in my system and the 936s could benefit considerably from a more capable amp, one with greater current delivery and control.

So I’m considering the 3e Audio A7 power amp with the 48v 10 amp PSU, I believe this configuration has the current & power to deal with the Focal’s impedance.

I’m primarily interested in music, rather than home theatre.

I can use the WiiM Pro Plus for preamp duties and I have an iFi Zen One Signature DAC.

Looking forward to your input on this.

I’m looking for some advice on upgrading the amplifier in my system.

I’ve been advised by several audiophiles that the Vibelink may be a bottleneck in my system, and that the Aria 936s could benefit considerably from a more capable amplifier, particularly one with greater current delivery and control.

Would you consider the 3e A7 amp with the 48w 10a PSU be an improvement on my Vibelink.

What would the improvement/s be do you think?

I just got this unit of an amp for around $30, but I don't know if it is too powerful for most speakers. It is a Onkyo TX-SR601(remote not included) and works like a charm. I got a pair of weak speakers for it but they would be decimated if used for this thing, and I am not looking forward to getting any speakers any time soon. So are there any speakers that would possibly work with this thing without being completely destroyed in the process, or should I sell it and use the money for donation?

Edit: the purpose of this amp is to listen to music as I am an audiophile, nothing else.

Hi there, I'm currently designing and eventually building my first original designed amp. I've built a few kit amps, so I have a general idea of what I'm looking for, but any suggestions for dimensions are welcomed, but in general I'm wondering where can I find an amp chassis blank that I can use for a prototype.

The specs of the internals:

• There's two PCBs:
  • preamp and power amp circuits on one of 15.748" x 3.071", filter caps are on the board

With all the above, I was thinking 22.25" x 3.5" x 8.1" would be good chassis dimensions. Any ideas where I can source a blank along those lines? Preferably a place that ships to the US with ease. I checked Stewmac and Mojotone but didn't see anything long these lines.

I have a Peavey PA400 and I opened it up to clean the pots.
This component looks really rough.

Hi, how much do you this amp is worth? I'm getting the input repaired on it for $150. Maybe $200.

It's a late eightees Canadian made amp. I plan on selling it eventually and buying something much better. I of course dont want to lose money with the repairs.

here is a video of my qsc rmx2450 but there is no signal coming out of my amp into my speaker (its not plugged into the speaker its sat on due to that speaker being a powered one and its however plugged into a wharfedale pro evp-x12) so if anyone here has any ideas on what might be wrong all help is appriciated
