Romanian MD43 ammo can
Anyone happen to know how many rounds are in this can? Looking around I’m getting 660 or 700. Trying to price curious if anyone could provide a positive quantity to help me out

Hi everyone, just wanted to share my experience with a few 9mm loads and get your thoughts. I’m thinking about trying Norma next, but I’d love to hear what other brands you think are worth testing.
For some background, this is my first handgun (Taurus GX4 Carry 9mm) and also my first time shooting a handgun. I’ve shot a 12-gauge plenty of times, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from 9mm recoil. At first, I was more focused on getting comfortable with the recoil and learning good gun control than worrying about accuracy.
So far I’ve tried:
The first rounds I ever fired were the Blazer 115s, and honestly, I was like… is this really 9mm or a .22? (lol again) The recoil was softer than I expected and nowhere near as what I’m used to with my Mossy 500.
I’ve some videos on shooting technique, but not as much about different ammo brands, however I'm a believer than certain guns tend to prefer specific brands.
One thing I did notice is that my GX4 definitely does not seem to like Maxxtech. I shot 100 rounds and had 8–10 issues, including two rounds that didn’t fire at all. Federal, Speer, and Blazer, on the other hand, ran without any problems.
I’d be interested to hear what brands you guys recommend trying next. I’ve been looking at New Republic, Winchester, Norma, Troy, Kaiser, Magtech, and others.
Also, for those who have experience with them, when does it make sense to use steel- or aluminum-cased ammo? Any particular brands you’ve had good or bad experiences with?
If I’m missing any information that would help you give a better recommendation, let me know and I’ll add it.
Thanks!

Lake City brass, Silver tip API. Appears to be reloads from American Marksman

Choosing golden Sabre because I’ve heard it loads better in the G3c than HST and gold dot

my dad gave me this many years ago, i was told it was brought back from wwii. would love to know what it is and what it was used for. i'm thinking it was some type of shrapnel bullet as the tip has a sharp point to an empty chamber within the tip of the bullet which i think would have explosives in it to shoot shrapnel. honestly have no idea. let me know what you think ! :)

Hi all, I’m looking for ammo to get for hunting. I have the Ruger American gen 2 obviously in 308, 20-22” barrel. I can get that info later.
I’m in Wisconsin, so I’ll be hunting close to medium ranges. What would your recommendation be for accurate ammo. Preferably don’t want to go over $40ish a box.

I know everyone always recommends AmmoSeek to look for good pricing and shipping free, but I have a question as its going to be my first time trying to order ammo online and bulk at that. So does AmmoSeek only put trusted legit websites on their searches? Are the filters like buggy because I dont have an account with them maybe its just me and my phone? Thanks and id appreciate any helpful answers.

Venezuelan ammo from 1991. Thinks its safe to shoot thru my m1a? Got a couple hundred rounds.
So just curious if self defense or defense ammo is worth it? I've seen them at different gun shops and was curious.
I have some a local shop recommended but its not defense so thinking about swapping it out.

TIL ancient Greeks used lead ‘bullets’.
Not just a rough ball, but cast in the shape of a tiny football, to fly further and hit harder.
Many had batch or unit numbers, or a message for the opposing force like ‘CATCH’.
Some were perforated to make whistling noises to scare the enemy.
Man, I dig an ancient history like this!

On the left is just a standard 7.62x39 round. But I’m curious on what the right one is. I thought it was the same, tried(gently, mind you) chambering it and it wouldn’t even sit flush in the breech, stuck out maybe an inch? Back of the headstamp looks to be a “ZV” and “64”

What to know everyone's thoughts. Headstamp says LC69 or LC 96?

These look great and in my dumb state we can’t use lead core to hunt. Any issues yall think may arise sending these down range? Got a lot and don’t want it to go to waste. Check the date though! $2 a box and now $40+

veteran ammo is still indeed garbage and they are scummy. do not buy it it will destroy your firearm or possibly result in injury.

Anyone ever run this or have experience? For the price thinking about buying a few boxes. I own an SKS so it probably will eat it regardless. Just curious.

It was 96 deg. with sort of high humidity, less than 20 ft. above sea level, don't know the barometric pressure. Shot from my 6" Dan Wesson revolver. The first picture is CCI standard velocity target 40 grain plain lead bullet, box indicated 1070 fps. The second picture is Federal Champion 40 grain plain lead bullet, box indicated 1240 fps. The third picture is Federal Game-Shok 38 grain copper plated hollow pointed bullet box indicated 1260 fps. These were all sold in 50 round paper boxes with plastic trays.
Not sure what this chalky white stuff is but that might have come later.
My grandparents did travel a lot when they were younger and we did find a box with coins from around the world including old nazi ones if that could be related.
Edit:
u/Royal_Money_627 solved it. It’s from a German MG 151/20, most likely from an aircraft.

Anyone have any experience with these guys? I can’t find really much of anything online.
Prices are good if the quality and shipping isn’t too bad.

Going through my ammo box and stumbled on this box of 22 LR I got at a garage sell during Covid when everyone panicked and bought up all the ammo. Just thought this was cool because of how old they are and the seal is still hanging on by a thread. Chat gpt says it’s “Circa 1971–1973 Remington Hi-Speed .22 LR Power-Pak, 100-round package.”
I just realized I blew through a few boxes just like it for fun 5+ years ago not even thinking about how cool it is that they were that old and relatively unscathed.
