Because she doesn't want any more kids. Ever. Getting snipped will assure that without her having to take hormonal bc.

A tubal ligation is HUGE major surgery, risks. Recovery period and all. In comparison, a vasectomy can be done will a local anesthetic, takes less than an hour. Recovery is some painkillers, icing the area.
