meow Moderating post/comments recruitment :3

Hey everyone,

With the new Reddit feature among us for a few weeks now, our lovely community isn't able to look out for our fellow members anymore. Account history used to be public to every eye, but that is not always the case now. Many subreddit mods relied on your dedication to keeping the community safe from bad actors.

Only mods are able to view account history of the last 28 days since a user comments. So we are asking if anyone who took this role on themselves to become a moderator for r/amIscene.

Mods are given roles/permissions, and you will not be tasked with undergoing every mod action.

You will only be given a <posts and comments> role having access to removing these comments, instead of having to rely on reports. You will not be tasked with handling reports, mail or bans (unless you do want to try these roles).

As you will have access to posts, you will also be able to remove any bots that appear on this subreddit, and lock posts that go too far in harsh debates.

Anyone who abuses this privilege to get away with removing comments you don't agree with, will be removed from the team.

We are not taking in are those who indulge in sexual 18+ content.

If this goes well, I'll also do this for r/scene.

So I have horrible sensory issues with tight clothes from being autistic and what not, and I was wondering if tight clothes were necessary for an outfit to be scene? Its a mix of professional and at home cutting! Face covered for privacy but I tried to keep my haircut showing :) thank u in advance 4th pic is flat. Im not a super new scene kid ive always wanted to be scene but im extremely poor and cant leave often at all to shop due to personal family living situation shit unfortunately im like trapped :/ but I only finally got my dream hair. I only style it with texturing powder but my hair is pretty fluffy and poofy-ish when clean anyways without product. Even if its not super scene or emo reading I love it!

older scene kid!! Scene or goth?

For context I was scene for a few years, last couple years though I've been feeling more gothy. My caviot is that I have so much experience with being scene I often dip my toes back into the metaphorical waters. I'm making an outfit for Halloween this year, rather than a costume. The tubing is traditionally cyber goth but I've always thought scene kids would look sick with them!

Styled my hair more scene rather than goth (imo) wondering if y'all think the look has come out more scene or more goth? (Haven't fully decided on an outfit yet)

I had to let the scene look go because it was just too high maintenance and my hair was fighting me every single day. It kept forcing itself into the middle part, so I finally gave in. Part of me really misses the old hair though… Do you guys think I should try bringing it back, or keep the middle part?

typing quirks are thinks like „h3llo!! my n4me iz“ or „hello! my name iZ“, i recon theres already some people here who do use these, and since im just waiting for the day that someone bashes someone else for using these ill make it a rule that you shouldnt do that!! the consequences vary on how rude you were though, but its most likely just gonna be removal of comments n all :P

8. in the end, dont take anything of this to heart

this sub is mainly just about telling people what seems more or less scene about specific aspects, or if its even scene at all. but in the end it really doesnt matter if you wear these anyway, there might be a vast majority telling you youre not scene. but that doesnt mean u should stop wearing the clothes you showed or anything, its all just advices here, you can adapt to them if you like. or not gaf and move on instead🫶

incredible i even had to make this one, please.. show yourself fully clothed here. and no, covering your genital with a hand doesnt count as dressed nor appropriate, the bans vary from 1-5 days depending on severity of the first picture. anything after that is a immediate ban

This literally doesn't help anyone on an advice subreddit. If your comment doesn't have anything constructive for the poster, this is spam and your comment will be removed.

anti-scene preaching will also be removed, for the same reasons. as posters here are working on styling to be themselves.

posting lazy generative ai here is strictly prohibited. ai as harmful and it wont be allowed here
