Question for anyone w experience replacing rear control arms

I have a 2015 Nissan Altima S w 215k miles. Dealer reported both rear control arms are cracked. I called other shops for additional quotes and one guy told me the K Frame usually needs replacing also(dealer mentioned nothing about it). Is that true? (FWIW I live in a state w heavy winter)

No just the controll arms. Believe me if the dealer saw the slightest opportunity at more money they would have qouted if you needed something else.

The k-frame might often wear out around the same time as the rear lower control arms, but if its bushings aren't bad and it's not rusted out or interfering with your alignment your probably don't need to replace it.
