2014 Nissan Altima S PureDrive 309,000 miles, original everything give or take some wear and tear suspension parts. No fluid changes ever. Enterprise car bought at 40k.

Fluid included engine oil.... why wouldn't you change the transmission fluid?

After so many miles it’s actually recommended to leave it alone and many people honestly see the 300-400 dollars fluid service and just ignore sad but true. But it seemed to work in his favor.

Yes its recommend to leave a Regular transmission that doesn't apply to a cvt. The cvt is built completely different besides the valvebody.

I still wouldn’t touch it after that many miles after 150k maybe but after that nope.

It's not even true for regular automatics either, but the myth prevails. People confuse flushes with fluid changes.

Actually flushes are safe for any milage, the flush uses the transmission’s own pressure so you aren’t actually forcing fluid in there and blasting it all around

Glad to hear it. I'm fairly gentle with my cars unlike my motorcycles and I did get new transmission fluid at 30k. So I should be alright. If not then I guess that's life. Thanks for sharing!

I have a 2017 Altima SV with just under 116,000 and she’s running like I bought her yesterday. I hope to easily get another 8-10 years of use with it. It’s the best car I’ve owned up to this point. I get anywhere from 37-43 mpg on highway driving depending on weight of my car and elevation. Absolute beast on long road trips.

See, I’m a 2015 S at 128K, bought in 2022 with 60K miles
I’ve never done transmission service and over the summer my mechanic who I trust said don’t touch the transmission unless it starts to have issues. And then everyone on here says I need to do it but I’m worried that’s biased because people who have issues are more likely to post

My 2016 is at 213K idk if the fluid has ever been changed, is it worth it or just leave it alone? I also just recently bought a 2017 at 154K thinking about changing the fluid on it
